how is that going to happen? CBN has a clear strategy they are using. If not for laziness, they would have done their research the first time and prevented all that happened. I don't think Naira can collapse again
Cardoso was not yet appointed when the president removed subsidy and floated the naira and everything skyrocketed. There was an acting Governor then. Cardoso should be given his flowers for steadying the ship.

The truth this agbadorians dont know is.. even if the dollar falls to 100 naira.. if the Govt refuses to address other critical sectors that increases productivity... Ie the perennial issue of power ( electric) eclipse... High import duties.. high pump price.. insecurity.. and lack of incentives to farmers to produce agricultural products.. then Una dollar brouhaha propaganda is just noise and worthless
But everyone can see that Tinubu is tackling all you highlighted above. The band A increment is an attempt to solve the power problem. Bandits are now been bombed by Nig army unlike the kid glove Buhari handled them. Dollar is failing already. So, Tinubu is a hands on president ready to make a difference.

Even if it wasn't at the rate they met it in 1999 the difference wasn't much in 16 years they were in power compare with apc in just 8 years. Apc is like a teams that conceded 12 goals in first half and Got back 3 goals in srcond half and start celebrating even though they are still losing 12-3.

And PDP is like what ? did PDP win ?

It is not propaganda , it is artificially raising the value of the Naira in an unsustainable way by depleting our foreign reserves to prop up the Naira at the current exchange. Naira is unnaturally gaining fast against not only Dollar but all other strong global currencies.

This is nothing but eye-service from Tinubu, perhaps he believes Nigerians hoarding dollars could be tricked into selling their dollars in the belief that the dollar price is crashing. undecided

Reality is that none of the global powerful world currencies are crashing anywhere else but in Nigeria, in fact the Dollar that is supposed to be crashing against the Naira is actually gaining against the pound and some other currencies.

So PDP is now your yardstick? Thought APC decried their leadership and vowed to do better? APC has failed Nigeria. They're trying to force Nigerians to celebrate mediocrity. 1dollar was 260 naira when Buhari took over. Tinubu met Naira at 400 to a dollar, but now they want us to believe that 1140 naira to a dollar is a great achievement.
It’s not true that Tinubu met the Naira at 400 to a dollar, about the time of his assumption of duties as the President of Nigeria, the Naira witnessed a downturn against the US Dollar in the black market, plummeting to an average exchange rate of N762/$1 on Tuesday, May23rd, 2023. This represents a 0.26% depreciation from the previous day's trading session, where the dollar was valued at N760/$1.
