True. But that doesn't negate the fact that there is a fuel scarcity situation right now.

Seems Nigerians have resigned themselves to fate.

The prices of commodities will stay where there are unless FG bring down the prices of fuel and diesel.

Prices of Goods & Services are driven by forces of Demand & Supply and not by the greed of Businessmen.
Except in a monopoly.

In a free economy, If people are making excessive profit from any business, more people will naturally enter that business & crash the profit margin.

Govt should focus on addressing production costs & similar factors affecting high costs of Goods & Services.

You've said it all bro.

Nothing to add or remove.

.it's until the price of fuel and disel reduces and come down that is when the price of foodstuffs and goods will reduce and come down..it's the high costs of transportating this foodstuffs and goods to the market that makes the foodstuffs and goods to be expensive

Rubbish
But when you and your fellow greedy traders increase prices of goods by over 100 percent couple of months ago it was all about exchange rate.

Now dollar has crash you have transfer the blame to logistics and fuel price

.. when Tinubu resumed office as a president last year 2023.. and he immediately removed fuel subsidy which made the price of fuel to increase and be very expensive did you see how prices of foodstuffs and goods increased after the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government

You can’t build a country in this modern age without transparency.

This government is failing big time on transparency!

The government can be as transparent as water, yet it is the man's inhumanity to man and greediness in the highest order that is causing price distortion in the market. And unfortunately, you can't not legislate greed or human behavior. Is it not transparent that exchange rate has gone down, is it not transparent that diesel cost has gone down, is it not transparent enough for the blind to see?.

Instead of blaming the government for greed, why not channel your effort to confront goods sellers to justify the price for their goods. Selah

Because the old stock has not finish. But the marketers are thieves the will still want to sell the new stock at high price.
Since there is no measure to know when the old stock should last in the store

There's a book we play by and the govt and it's people continue to dredge new holes forgetting the day of reckoning awaits......
Poor transparency, nepotism, mediocrity, lack of adherence to rules of Law......Civil service corruption......Forces over high handedness and many more are the real issues which if not settled to a large extent will drown whatsoever gains we seem to make

I disagree to agree with you here.
What did the leaders put in place to cushion or curb the inflation?

Palliative only put plaster on a wound. And even the cost of the palliative is inflated by the same leaders.

What kinda stupid excuse and explanations are these?

It shows that your head is simply not correct.

You were contesting for a Presidential Election, you kept shouting: “Subsidy Must Go” and “Naira Must Be Floated”.

Your common sense did not tell you that some mechanisms needed to be put in place first to check & cushion the effects of your “Trial & Error” Policies on the masses.

You came with your “OVERSABI” and dabaru everything you met on ground. Now, you’re hiring “PR Consultants” to help launder your stupid economic policies and explain to the masses in futility - why the law of Demand & Supply is not working in Nigeria.

The SUBSIDY that you did gra-gra to remove , now you’re back to paying more than double of it, to the tune of 600Billion Naira per Month.

The NAIRA that you did gra-gra to remove, now you’re back to defending it with our limited & scarce FOREX.

As nepotistic, fanatical & ill-educated as BUHARI was, he was just too brilliant to foresee the future and avoid dragging the Country into the quagmire that we’re currently in.

This is why I keep telling people that education is not everything. If you’re educated and you don’t cultivate your common sense, your education is a waste.

In spite of Tinubu’s certification from the University of Chicago or any other phantom University that he was said to have attended, would any sane mind rate his Government above that of Buhari? Never!

You came with your gri-gri & gra-gra to scatter everything that the beaten & battered citizens were manageably enduring, and now, you keep churning out stupid & nonsensical statistics that doesn’t correlate with the reality on ground, to deceive the masses.

Even your fellow stupid & shallow-minded political jobbers like Nasir El-Rufai and Sanusi Lamido Sanusi that were busy granting stupid interviews during the Buhari’s administration - chanting “SUBSIDY MUST GO” and “NAIRA MUST BE FLOATED” ; they’re nowhere to be found to defend their stupid assumptions.

You want to remove Subsidy, all the Refineries are not working. You want to float the Naira, yet our economy is import-dependent.

Have you not proven to everybody now that your coconut head is not correct?

Nonsense!
Abeg press their necks well well.

Appreciation of US dollar can't determine the price of Agricultural products because the local farmers had to transport their outputs to the point of sell.
If the current administration is determined
to alleviate the persistence hike in price of commodities, they should bring down the price of petrol and also reverse their fruitless polices.

Don't mind the Idiots, Common sense isn't common. No working refinery yet they destroyed all the private modular refinery calling it Illegal. The first thing he was meant to do is to make corruption non lucrative, go into private sector partnership to make the economy a productive one, Ban importation of ridiculous items like toothpick, Do not ban importation of food stuff like rice. But they can't do all that cos of some goons like Dangote, IBB, Babangida etc are the beneficiaries of the corrupt system. when the current goons exit this world Nigeria may probably be better
