“His Whereabouts Are Not Hidden” – Bwala Blasts EFCC For Declaring Bello Wanted by Kosiso12(f): 7:52am On Apr 20
Former media aide to Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Daniel Bwala, has faulted the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for declaring the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, wanted.

Bwala said the EFCC had all the mechanisms and intelligence to arrest Bello.

Bwala made this known via his X account on Friday in reaction to the anti-graft agency declaring Bello wanted on Thursday following the failed attempt to effect his arrest at his Abuja residence.

Bello was whisked away by his successor, Ahmed Ododo, on Wednesday after hours of standoff between his security aides and operatives of the anti-graft commission.

The agency had declared him wanted for offences relating to economic and financial crimes to N80.2 billion.

Bwala wrote, “Unless EFCC and Yahaya Bello are both doing simulation for a movie about the agency and former governors, the press statement captioned “wanted” is not necessary.

“You were at his residence to effect arrest – you failed to apply ACJA or better still what you did to Okorocha at his residence.

“You knew who came and whisked him away – you allowed that. Both he and the incumbent governor have security details from police and SSS who must report activities, including the whereabouts of their VIPs, to their commands – meaning his whereabouts are not hidden.

“You knew Police and SSS have surveillance instruments for geo-tracking and geo-locating- yet you failed to approach. You are asking the general public to give you information about someone you have every reason to know his whereabouts. Please do your job without dramatising it.”

Interesting read with valid points…

I must confess….EFCC is just dramatizing the situation foooooooolishly

I was telling one kid here on NL , I wish I could remember his useless moniker… EFCC is a biased organization… they could easily track down and arrest former governor of Anambra state Obiano…they used commando tactics to get Okorocha

Now they are searching for Bello 😀😀😆😆

Good.

As Bwala know the whereabouts of Bello, EFCC should invite him for some questioning and if he refused to attend the invitation honorary, he should be declared wanted.

So many goats would drink pap for this matter

But sheikh Gummi used to have meetings with bandits and kidnappers in the forest but when you asked the military squad to go after the bandits, they'll say that they don't know their whereabouts tongue

EFCC has been reduced to a laughing stock under Tinubu.
EFCC's credibility has plummeted, it's now a subject of ridicule.
Funny enough, they want Nigerians to help them locate Yahaya Bello; the same Nigerians they trample on their rights with impunity, conducting midnight raids in student hostels only in the southern part of Country.

I wonder if this is the same EFCC that broke into Rochas Okorocha's house through the ceiling to arrest himangry

The mumu police IG that suppose to arrest him, just withdrew his aid. If it is common man, you'll see Nigerian police and EFCC breaking and entering the person's house as if their life depends on it.

These are some of the reasons will always tell you that Nigeria is a lawless country.
The name MNK gave it is a classical one, ZOO.

EFCC is currently the most useless organization in Nigeria.

Even the stvpid IGP is withdrawing his police details. Just tell those officers to bundle the idiôt back to Abuja asap.

When he finally escapes the shore of Nigeria, they would now start wasting, more tax payers money to track him up and down all over the universe. Notifying Interpol and flying to Dubai , London or Washington to waste forex that not even thr, to hire lawyers for repatriation.

After 4 to 8 years ,the case would die the way it's predecessors died.

I said to myself all these saga could be a political stunt to make this administration look good. I don't believe a person like yahaya Bello could be hiding in a cave. We know how these things play out and it will phase away soon cos nigerians forget very easily just as they forgot mohbad

Taaaa make we hear something.

Sometimes you must talk with common sense.

Bwala made the right statement, even though he opposes your principal. Even your principal should be ashamed of you.

How on earth EFCC failed to effect the arrest of the man, who was right inside the house, is not believable. The excuses about casualties are not tenable and simply allow the public to say that there is selective justice in this case. We have seen them going after University students in the nights, raiding and destroying their properties. Why did they fail to apply the same instruments, considering that they had reinforcements of their own officials, the police and DSS. They could also enlist the support of the army, if the crowd of foolish Ebira youths were blocking their way.

We are talking of someone who is needed to account for over 80b of state funds, that potentially could be much more, and you are asking Daniel Bwala to give information.

They also could have stopped the governor from approaching the house, since they were in operation and clearly the governor's entrance could obstruct the course of justice.

Declaring Bello wanted for me was showmanship. It appeared like a calculated move by some personalities to give him room for escape, as seen with Ododo. The same NPF has withdrawn the security details of Bello, leaving those set of policemen to join others in search of the man who all they needed to do was hand over to the authorities.

His present location is well known to those in the security who aided his escape from his house. That's why Bwala stated that the DSS and Police officers attached to the governor, all know where he is. They are the ones to produce him and not the general public. When he was "chopping" the money, did EFCC ask the general public to get him?

People like you support embezzlers and looters. That's why the country remains the way it is with corruption.

EFCC has forgotten every move they usually use in getting into Yahoo guys apartments and arresting them... Now this is crazy how a sitting governor is shielding someone who's been declared wanted by the law... What couldn't they exact the same muscle they used on Rochas okorocha
