They can leave. Their main reason is reduced sales according to them and Nigeria is just leaving a recession, coupled with our fight against inflation. They're not the only ones who experienced a plunge in sales, a lot of Nigerians were forced to cut down on their expenditure and it affected businesses.

This is why the govt must support indigenous businesses cos all these foreign businesses have no real stake in the country. Once they can't maximise profit, they jet out. Only local businesses can bear with the country through hard times, just like BUA cement & Air Peace...
When people like you talk I shake my head in consternation! Do you know the job loss that will follow? Do you know the ripple effect that will come from this? Loss of tax to government, job loss.
Tell me one modern country that has only indigenous companies? Why are you folks so wicked and f0olish at the same time

Did you even go through the post? Get a hold of your emotions and stop acting like a baby crying for breastmilk!

Their reason for leaving has more to do with low sales, not any unique economic disadvantage. Same low sales affected Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa businesses in Nigeria, nothing new. So what should the government do for them to increase their profits? Should the government patronize them so they can stay or what? Or we should start begging them on social media, cos you claim to reason but you don't know what you're writing.

The rise of numerous Nigerian companies with better or competing products contributed to the sales plunge.

Many women now produce soaps from their backyard.

This is not bad at all.

Yes I did. They will go look for available local or even international companies to render their services to or setup small-scale factories to that effect, which was how PZ itself started.

Nothing is lost from the macro viewpoint.

You are trying too hard to sound rational but ended up been stupid..... How will compare back room producers who negligible and zero impact on the wider market...... And mind you the manufacturing process have some dangers since it's requires mixing some chemicals at stable conditions..... Even our local brands are an offshoot of these international guys because majority of the technology and technical know how was green lighted by the foreigner players..... Please next time if you don't know something try to keep shut cuz many of us have been in the entire value chain for a long time......

Do you even know what it takes to integrate the antiseptic agents to products to make sure it effectively kills germs? You think your local household soap maker have the capacity to integrate it??

Your comment actually reflects...

We're faced with dangers at every point of commuting, it's a folly indeed to stay at home on your advice. More so using "danger" as a Nairaland point of argument.

Shutting up would mean an intelligent person is talking and I'm listening...

"It's takes several technicalities to mix whatnots", that angle of argument reveal that empty-headed subterfuge you're trying to animate just to make up...You seem to want to present this antiseptic soap making look like rocket science, that's silly because I know even the most complex of the chemistry involved can be 100% achieved with home-made utilities.

FYI, PZ makes several soap products asides the antiseptic. Several Nigerian brands equally make this happen to the good of our local content.
