I, alongside Senator Tokunbo Abiru, visited the Minister of Works, Engineer Dave Umahi to express appreciation for the ongoing 34km Ikorodu-Itokin road reconstruction.

The road, originally built in 1975 under General Yakubu Gowon and General Mobolaji Johnson, is crucial for economic growth. Senator Abiru's motion in April 2021 emphasized the road's significance as a key access point linking various parts of the country.

We advocated for the dualisation of the road to enhance its capacity. Minister Umahi assured us that the design for the dualisation would commence soon. The current rehabilitation work has already improved travel along the corridor.

We also extended our thanks to HE President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his consistent support for road infrastructure projects nationwide.

I don't know how Umahi is doing it but I think he's one of the best men in the Nigeria's political space. He should not have been in the apc. We have them all over. Amaechi joined the wrong party, another good man.
