Quarter of the year is going to end in a day or two from now, and everyone in Nigeria understand the economy hardship Nigerians are going through especially salary earners. Salary earners are going through lots due to high cost of living because salary barely meet up our daily needs.

However, amidst of this economy a lot of people are still doing exploit and still have little saving from their salaries, so we shouldn't be left behind when the year ends with no achievement.

As for me I had manage to save 350k since January this year till this April ending. I earn 250k monthly, and I must tell you with a wife and one child, it had not been easy to save. But saving and making good financial plans is a must no matter the economy.

Feel free to share yours and don't be shy because nairaland is a faceless forum with chances to share your view and personal experiences without criticism because nobody knows you here.

Thanks guys

I saved $720,000 but Yahaya Adoza B. took it without my consent and deposited it for his children education up untill university level to be pursued in the US.

Well, the world bank have decided to right the wrong by paying $3,000,000 into my bank account....

2.8 million naira since Jan.

Am a AU masters scholarship student based in Algeria collecting approx #800k (600usd) per month, alll accommodation and transport paid for, free feeding.

Algeria government operate a free system for students.so am collecting big money from AU to settle living costs, but at the background on site, the Algerian government already have a working system to make life free for students. So am not using the cash

Just studying only

I started off with 45,k now 60k after few months...excluding allowances and bonus..

I still feel it's not enough because I haven't saved much.

The value of the money has been depreciated.

How can I buy Ferrari or solara while work for someone?

How?

I earn roughly 600 - 800k when my salary is converted to naira, I am married with two kids and presently got less than $300 in my bank account since January till now. Reason been that I invested massively in real estates in Lagos and my home state Delta.. So that's my savings as a salary earner.

You don't have to lie to prove a point... There is no way a married man is able to save 35% of his 4 months salary while having a child...

Except he didn't mention his spouse also earn something
