Expect more inflation.
Anytime there is any such salary increase they are always followed by an inflationary period.
Naira devaluation too

If it had truly taken effect since 1st January why is it just been announced today and why is the increment only taking effect on paper?

How does this increase compensate for the increase in cost of living? Does it make any sense that inflation is now 33.20% yet you increase salary by 25%, with additional increase in electricity tarrif, fuel scarcity, customs duty increase and so on?

As usual, Tinubu's boys will come here to celebrate this increase that will have no positive impact on the average Nigerian.

Everything about this government is just propaganda and celebrating lies and deceit in the name of growth but the plan is to continue to impoverish Nigerians while they smile home with their massive loot.

Dumb post.

2hat state and is your state paying 10% of 650llK as minimum ? Let's start the conversation from there.

Note Anambra is not paying the old minimum wage of ₦30,000 in this 2024

I must say this is a disappointment for me and every well meaning Nigerian. What I expected was at least 200% increase for minimum salary earners, 100% for medium and 50% for high salary earners. That way the poorest wage earners can at least feed and pay face me I face you rent with their 80 to 90k a month while the medium and high can cut their previous luxury. 25% is inhuman and a No No for me.

Bag of rice is 70k. Is tinubu aware that a bag of rice is 70k before announcing this 25% increment?

This is pure wickedness. What's 25%? That's 8750 of 35,000 minimum wage. That's just ₦43,750 minimum wage.
