At the time, I didn't think it was the right way to go (and still don't), because the causes of inflation are not totally related to the spending power of the masses. Farouk doesn't seem to have a great grasp of economics though he is right in pointing out that the masses are getting increasingly disaffected.

There are countries that dont recover from one stupid misdirection from their leader e.g. Zimbabwe,Lebanon, Colombia, Greece, Cyprus, etc...That singular act Tinubu did would take more than 20 years for Nigeria to recover.
