What's Ghana doing here? undecided

About 5 pack of 80gram indomie noodles in Ghana is 55 Ghana Cedis, that's above $4.

While $4 in Nigeria can get you over 10 pack of same 80gram indomie noodles.

Stick to the bone of contention and stop confusing yourself boy

Currency conversion ratio is of little significance when you consider that currencies can be adjusted.

For example, the Kuwaiti Dinar (KWD) is the strongest currency in the world with a single Kuwaiti dinar buying $3.25 US dollars (or, put another way, one US dollar equals 0.31 Kuwaiti dinars) but can the Kuwaiti economy measure against USA or other advanced economies?
As a matter of fact, kuwaiti dinar was adjusted by taking away three zeros to make it the world's strongest. That's something anyone can do and become the worlds strongest currency but not necessarily the world strongest economy.

Money is a just a metric system that can change based on goods and service backing it or can be recalibrated to ease management of money system.

Valid and quite educative.

If crypto existed when Abacha was alive , do u think some of that money would have been traced and returned?? Think
The one that was returned under buhari where is it? How was it accounted for? Of what benefit was the money to an average Nigerian? Was it not re-looted by the same corrupt politicians??
You seem to have personal issue with cryptto
The problem is not cryptto, but the corrupt leaders which are the foundation. Once we have credible leaders, things will naturally fall into place. We had an opportunity to re write the history of this country through an intelligent man like Osinbanjo, what happened? Where is the port Harcourt refinery they promised to start working in April which will in turn strengthen the naira? A lot of things are wrong, unstable power supply, insecurity, inflation etc these are things that need to be improve which will improve our economy. It is not just saying cryptto when so many things are going wrong. Cryptto has zero effect on economy. So long thriving nations are doing cryptto, then it means the primary issue rest on policies & leadership of our govt.

You are deviating. The economy of Lagos state alone is bigger than that of Ghana, Benin republic and Togo
sonofsteven:

Then Nigeria should do it that way if it's possible as you said

That way we can buy things cheaper with dollar

Someone said indomie is 55 cedis, which he calculated in naira and asked what Ghana is doing on the list... can you buy indomie pack of 5pcs for 55 naira ?

Why is Binance not affecting their Currencies?
its because they ain't using binance as a medium of money laundering as it's been used here in nigeria.

In ghana, u buy a bottle of malt 10 cedis(which is averagely 1,000 naira), but in nigeria am not sure if a bottle of malt is upto 500 naira.

Road side Okirika jeans(dey call it home use) can b sold 100 cedis(average equivalent of 10,000 naira), but i wonder how person wan take 10k buy roadside okirika jeans in nigeria.

Same wit every other commodity.
Re: Top Ten African Currencies Compared To US Dollar by Love800(m): 9:33am On May 13
That is if you comparing it with ghana currency. But the purchasing power in nigeria is not strong here in the country.

The customs and other border officials should work too. How do banned or prohibited goods still enter Nigeria huh

It's not entirely by banning dollars. Ban the goods these dollars can buy. And people won't see the need to buy the dollar
Beverlyjean:
Now,a war turn country has is just 4 to a dollar... they don't use the dollar , their citizens don't need or even take it seriously..... the only way we can get it right is to use force by making FX illegal on the streets .... it should only be electronically traded thru the banks ...all crypto should be banned ... anyone found trading crypto or dealing with FX should be arrested immediately... Nigerians that can afford it are buying it up and hoarding it like black market fuel sellers ...
