Purchasing power reduced during Buhari’s administration. Now eroded under BAT’s administration completely.

Why are you always like this. You keep blaming the wrong people. The only people you never blame are those in your APC government. And these are the only people to blame.
Under Tinubu, more companies are going out of business at a faster rate than ever before but you choose to blame the companies. It's never Tinubu's fault. It's the fault of Nigerians and companies that provide employment for the common man. Government has no hand in this.

That is good. They should keep hoarding them in order to create artificial scarcity and later sell at a higher price.

They should also keep reducing the quality and quantity of their products while increasing the prices and let's see who will soon go out of business....

Make dem reduce price and sell at a loss. The government. Should also give businesses with losses Tax breaks to balance it out. It’s tough times everywhere in the world. But in Nigeria, the way they hike prices does not align with the inflation. Greedy people seeing opportunity to make money are the cause of this.
If you run a business, you will understand how dangerous and scary it is to run at a loss. These companies are about to sack thousands of people and reduce purchasing power the more, thereby increasing the problem.
Re: Manufacturers Wail As Unsold Goods Pile Up In Warehouses by Blessedarethepe(m): 12:51pm On May 20
Since there is no money to buy them.................what do you expect? All prices have gone, and yet there is no corresponding increase in minimum wage. If any arm-chair critics quote that it will cause more inflation, then you should tell the government to address the causes of the increase in prices.

Did you see where it is written that low purchasing power which is caused by the rising cost of living is the cause of it ? Why can’t you people just say the truth for once ? Does it mean supporting Tinubu equates to not being able to say it as it is ?

Why won't there be unsold goods when prices keep rising while income is static. Even toyota camry is 100 million naira.

If the masses do not have control over who becomes the President, then who does? If you and I and others do not vote, how can the President get into the position?

You must all admit the truth of voting sentimentally. The truth remains that of all the candidates, BAT was the worst. Now we are not looking at his credentials in Lagos. We are looking at APC and it’s failed policies since 2015. Tinubu stated clearly that he would continue Buhari’s legacies. One of them was hunger. Has he not continued? On his Inauguration Day, he made the pronouncement that put people’s financiers in shambles and finally sent millions into abject poverty.

Obi certainly towered miles ahead of Tinubu. Now some of you said that he was a trader. Looking at it from that point of view, was it not clear that his policies would favour traders, including himself? If it favored trade, would that not put for on more tables?

With no agriculture and security, how can a country become great? Do you become great by taxing the poor harder, who have nothing in the first place to pay?

A lot of businesses will go down. Not being pessimistic.

Yes it will be really hard for purchasers to buy imported items now that USD = 1540.

But it's hard to pity the sellers too. 99% of them quickly jerk up prices as soon as dollar rates go up and NEVER bring them back when rates go down.

Car dealers that bought cars in 2015/16 kept adjusting prices instead of selling with reasonable markups.

The consequence = eventually, customers wouldn't be able to buy again and your inventory will just rot.

I laugh when I see people who bought gym equipment in 2015/16 adjusting rates to 2024 rates. You never even sell am for years you dey adjust. Na you go carry your thing, build muscle last last grin

I swear. Most nigerians are bloody criminals and heartless mofos.

But you can't blame them much. If you're not "strong" as they call it here, your survival will always be at risk and you won't be able to achieve much financially.

Oga this is a very foolish thing to say. Don't justify your bad choose with such a cheap excuse.
There is a reason why till date. Peter Obi remains the only governor in Nigeria who published what was in the state's account before living office.
He also remains the first to leave office without paying himself a pension.
If you needed someone to tell you that he is the kind of person Nigeria needs then you obviously can't see.
He that was faithful in small things should be made ruler over greater things.
We intentionally chose the worst candidate and now you come out to justify a bad decision.

As far as I'm concerned, all the presidential candidate in the last elections even your clueless peter obi isn't what will fix nigeria situation.

Your write-up sounds funny. can you compare a politician to a doctor (who has taken promise to save lives), a banker (who if one of your kobo miss is in trouble) or even the food seller (who if your stomach do you like you no understand you would...)? A politician who can kill, forget promises, uses force and dictatorship, not care about the lives of people he is ruling?
Even Doctors sometimes we chose them. Even banks, when they misbehave. And the interesting thing is how many doctors or banks bribes you to follow them? What of politicians... Sic...
