In order news Theo Walcott played his first ever premier league match against Watford back then in 2006. Hope he gets to his best today.

Watford have shown that they are very good when it comes to defending. I hope we practised our set pieces these past few days as that may be one way of getting goals a tight defence when other things fail.
Also did Alexis return in time for this game? I remember a time when playing in South America during the week automatically ruled you out from a game on Saturday.

The transfer market is closed so I can only speak about what we've got.
I've never hidden my preference for Giroud over Walcott in that top 9 position at Arsenal. I still think Walcott FOR NOW is more suited to playing from the right. He'll score even more goals from there than in the top striker position IMO. Giroud gives us presence and can hold on to the ball thus giving the others room to run into. No doubt Walcott has improved, I just don't think he's there yet and I'm not sure I'm comfortable letting him use our must win games to hone his skills. I'm interested in seeing how many aerial balls Walcott has won this season.

Good win today. 3 goals for and another clean sheet. No 2 on the table. Perhaps a potential CL ouster may not be that bad afterall. Like today's commentator insinuated, would we have risked players like Alexis and Ramsey today if we weren't in our current CL mess? No one knows but an interesting thought

Bellerin! What a player. That his run into the 18yard box to set up Ramsey for the third goal was simply brilliant. Like someone once noted, Bellerin doesn't play right back, he plays "right",his pace , improving position sense and good game reading allows him to combine his right back role with a right wing role, allowing Ramsey to drift into the midfield to link up with Carzola and Ozil, and occasionally bomb forward into the Eighteen yard box,without our right wing play suffering.

Against formidable opponents, we might need to restrategize, but against opponents like Man United and Watford, we might continue deploying Bellerin in his "right" role.

He also has a better positional awareness and gives us presence.

Now that the Watford match is done and dusted with three points in our bag and an improving goal difference that might yet prove crucial, and another Cech clean sheet, it's time we move on to the next challenge.

I see no reason we can't beat Bayern Munich.
They are good but certainly not extraordinary.

A good team selection ,proper tactics, and good TIMELY substitutions when needed plus tactical flexibility as the match unfolds should get the job done.

Their midefieders( Thiago-Alonso-Lahm/ Martinez) are certainly not better than Ozil-Carzola- Coquelin.

Douglas Costa is nowhere close to Sanchez level. We have no answer for Muller and Lewandowski, but I want to believe that a central defense pair of Kocielny and Paulista can neutralize them with 90mins of hardworking and composed defending.

Any advantage Neuer brings to them is easily "Cechmated" by Cech.

Wenger must start Paulista and Kocielny for that match, in addition to Cech staying between the sticks.

If I see Mertesacker and/or Ospina in the starting eleven, then I Will be sure that Wenger has no intentions of winning the match.

On the contrary I think walcot is a better finisher than Giroud.
In essence Walcot is very efficient while Giroud is very effective.....the only problem is how to make up for thier deficiencies....but on average I'd prefer Walcot to Giroud.
