Welp, I guess I was just super hyper and didn't read in between the lines of your replies last December. That probably explains why his price was half what he quoted to you. Once again body bin just dey shake me sotey I no fit comprehend and money full hand that period lol.

So to my understanding, there is no chance of getting an M365 technical support role on upwork?
The proposals have to be on other job roles meaning totally moving away from what I learnt?

Thanks

Remember I told you earlier that upwork doesn't employ Nigerians for MS365 technical support roles anymore.

The job is managed by upwork themselves not a client on upwork. So until they start employing Nigerians, there's absolutely nothing you can do for now.

As for projects, if you have other skills which you can defend, you can include it on your profile as your strengths. You can even create a specialized profile that would highlight your specific skills.

Let's say you're into graphics design, you can include YouTube links on your profile to showcase your previous jobs to prospective clients.

And if I'm going to be honest with you, even with all that, the odds that clients would reach out to you is 50-50. Because your profile has no reviews. So you have to keep applying.

Truth is upwork is expensive and can be frustrating for newbies, cos at some point you might have to buy connects, upgrade your membership, boost your proposal...etc.

But if you're lucky enough to get a job, then another, and another, and have good reviews on your profile, that's when you'll start enjoying upwork. Cos clients would start inviting you to apply for their jobs.

These are some of upworks MS365 roles. Unfortunately, none of them are opened to Nigerians for now.

The 3rd Pic was my advice to you last year. Of which you responded that you're learning it to invest in yourself.

The best you can do for now as an MS365 support engineer is to build your LinkedIn profile and search for roles in line with your skills. You'll definitely find companies looking for cloud engineers.

Microsoft outsourced their MS365 to upwork to manage cos they were trying to cut cost. So Upwork hires and pays contract staffs for those roles

The thing is Upwork as a company isn't hiring Nigerians anymore, but you can still get MS365 gigs on upwork through clients.

Just optimize your profile, purchase connects and apply. The good thing about this niche is that it's not over crowded so you might just get lucky and land a job.

By optimize your profile do you mean add projects and the likes?

Yes and more.

Just open chatgtp and give it a prompt to optimize your upwork profile as a Microsoft 365 administrator.

It would bring out an overview, writeup and skills. Give it another prompt to tailor it to be client friendly then copy it and paste it on your profile along with the skill tags.
