My take on this is that President Jonathan needs to get down to business of governance and stop playing politics with the lives of Nigerians.
The level of insecurity in this country is alarming.Boko Haram, and now Egbesu Fraternity all flinging bombs all over the place.
He needs to reshuffle his security chiefs and their management teams as soon as possible, because anything else is to court disaster.
Younger officers with fresh and innovative ideas are needed in all arms of the security apparatus of the country to tackle these terrorists.
From my side of the fence,Mr Jonathan looks totally clueless about how to tackle the issues at hand.
He has to be careful, because he appears to be courting a military coup!

Re: Egbesu Fraternity Claim Responsibility For Sapele Bombing by ayusman16(m): 7:23am On Dec 30, 2011
Bunch of dunces. So they think the only way is to retaliate by bombing kids in school. This is the dumbest of all acts and I see no difference between them and BH. Why didnt they mobilise themselves and go protect the Christians and Churches in the north where their people are being killed. Cowards.
Re: Egbesu Fraternity Claim Responsibility For Sapele Bombing by Diligence: 7:25am On Dec 30, 2011
Gowon cld not protect us in the 60's, Ojukwu said, okay, we can't remain in Nigeria, next, they employed Russia, Usa, UK, to force us together as one nigeria against our will, 50 years after, they're still blood-thirsty against once again, NDIGBO. Joe again, cant give us protection. There is nothing like true freedom and it's only possible with BIAFRA! MASSOB this ur non-violence wateva no go work. Go ask USA, they give us option of either a bible or a bomb - u make ur choice!

When Boko Haram sprang up and govt did nothing about it, it was normal that other armed groups will spring up like this latest one.
Is nt this what Jona meant by we should live with armed explosions?

Re: Egbesu Fraternity Claim Responsibility For Sapele Bombing by jmoore(m): 8:31am On Dec 30, 2011
Is egbesu a pagan organization or a christian organization?

If they really want war, they should go over to the north and target boko haram members and not innocent children.

These people are just cowards!!!

It is only ignorance that make some people to believe that only christians and igbos are the only victims in this boko haram attacks.

Their name will go the same way of Boko Haram in the history of Nigeria. Can you call yourself a Boko Haram member? No. But you can still call yourself a member of OPC, MASSOB, MOSOP, etc. But the moment you start throwing bombs into the crowds, it simply means you're going down the wrong side of history. It doesn't matter whether it is a retaliation or otherwise, all of you will be treated the same way. So my dear people, stop making excuse for terrorists.

Re: Egbesu Fraternity Claim Responsibility For Sapele Bombing by Kolababa: 8:57am On Dec 30, 2011
War don start be that abi? So that while you are killing yourself the likes of Atiku, OBJ, GEJ, IBB, Ibori, Odili, Tinubu, and co will continue sharing the national cake AND your Pastors, Bishops, sultan and Imams that call for war will take their families out of Nigeria with their private jets.
Naija people, give yourself brain o.

How can someone call Egbesu a christain sect/organisation? absolutely ridiculous. . . . The Egbesu boys, MEND etc are terrorists organisation too just like Boko Haram, any organisation that bomb innocent citizens either for retaliation or to make religious or political point is a terrorist organisation.

You have to be one of the following in Nigeria Christian, Muslim, Pagan Christian or Pagan Muslim. Egbesu has to belong to one above.
Re: Egbesu Fraternity Claim Responsibility For Sapele Bombing by rhymz(m): 9:32am On Dec 30, 2011
That is what you get when you have an irresponsible government that is not brave enough to find solution.
Like I said before, "if there can't be equal disarmament then there should be balanced terror". Soon una go soon hear Aba and Onitsha own, nobody likes injustice and no one group has a monopoly of dishing out violence. Apparently, this is the only way to send across a very strong message to the government and supporters of BokoHaram.

Re: Egbesu Fraternity Claim Responsibility For Sapele Bombing by Wislet(f): 9:41am On Dec 30, 2011
Some people think war is a joke. It might be easy to throw bombs around, but when it causes a full scale war, how many of them will stand to fight?
Can they see their loved ones massacred for their fool.ishness??

Nigerians should be very careful.
It is easy to talk the talk of war, but it's not easy to walk its walk.
War is never a situation any sane person would want to be in.
All the leaders, politicians you think you'll get at- when you allow devious minded people that hide under an umbrella to provoke a retaliation from you that will breed war (which has been their agenda from the beginning)- will only bundle their family outside the country and stay there with them.
Can you do that too?
Will you be able to escape war if it breaks out, after your senseless provocations & retaliations?

Some people have their brains in their heads but NEVER use it.
Who are the real people behind all these acts?
If they are Nigerians, could it be the bad eggs among the Northern folk, as every ethnic group has some bad eggs that give them a general bad name?
Or are they from outside the country?
Who are their sponsors?
Getting to the root of the problem and killing it from there will authomatically lead to the death of every other component.
Let's not be quick to flex muscles senselessly, or talk like people with no reasoning faculties. Because it is the innocent, defenceless citizens like us that will bear the brunt.
Talk is cheap, same way is thoughtless actions.
If we had reasonable, human-hearted, unselfish leaders, maybe they would have divided this country a long time ago peacefully.

Re: Egbesu Fraternity Claim Responsibility For Sapele Bombing by islamrules(m): 9:42am On Dec 30, 2011
Boko haram bombed in the North they are terrorist

MEND bombed Lagos and Abuja, They are not terrorist

Egbesu bombs Sapele. They are not Terrorist

Bombing of Atlas cove and Independence day bombing was in retaliation for?

MEND are fighting a course. Terrorist dont fight for a course.

Terrorist fight because of religion hatred.

When MEND was fighting, they didnt blow any mosque. And attack any muslim.
Re: Egbesu Fraternity Claim Responsibility For Sapele Bombing by Nobody: 9:49am On Dec 30, 2011

Re: Egbesu Fraternity Claim Responsibility For Sapele Bombing by Cogent: 9:55am On Dec 30, 2011
It is probably still the same politicians sponsoring the Egbesu whatever to further cause rife in Nigeria. While they send people to kill innocents and make life constantly unsafe for us, they are busy running round the world, living in mansions and enjoying the best things life has to offer.
And our inept monkey on the presidential seat is telling us that it is something we have to live with.

I HOPE YOU BUFFOONS THAT VOTED JONATHAN BASED ON SENTIMENTS CAN NOW SEE WHAT YOUR IDIOCY IS CAUSING THE COUNTRY? angry

Re: Egbesu Fraternity Claim Responsibility For Sapele Bombing by maasoap(m): 10:09am On Dec 30, 2011
@Christianrules, will you stop this illogical argument of yours. When is bombing South West become part of MEND's campaign with the death of Muslims and Yorubas during the explosion? Bombing of Abuja by MEND that wiped out a whole family on October 1st is no different from Boko Haram's senseless killings of Muslims and Christians.
@LEXYLOV, this is exactly what many Muslims on this forum are always telling you Christians that Boko Harams do not represent Nigerian Muslims interests in any way but many Nigerian Christians derive some kind of joy in associating Islam with evils. Before we can agree with you that these terrorists do not represent Christians interest, you people have to agree with us that original Boko Harams as well as Ibo SMS Boko Haram Cartels do not represent Muslim interest.

Make una no make me laugh. If casala shele today for 9ja, which army go fight which army? Pple should forget about Biafra kinda defence system. There's much more at stake today. Make una remember say Muttalab go bomb Amerika so don't count on their support or that of Britain to fight Biafra. This time it will be a free for all fight. Coup d' d'etat? Don't even go there, there will civil disobedience. Army will divide into factions.

It is however very disheartening to read a list of entire families wiped out in the Xmas bombing! Very sad indeed. It is not enough to sit back and talk of criminal activities or to blame only government who has not really demonstrated activeness on security matters. All hands must be on deck. Nigeria is a product of years of misrule. I consider all those blaming Jona to be unrealistic and fake.
1. No proper census
2. No national ID card
3. Ghost workers everywhere
4. Railway breakdown
5. Airways nko? where u go see am
6. Billions upon Billions stolen in broad daylight - na Jona send them?
7. Our roads na death traps even before Jona entered the scene
8. June 12 nko? na Jona kosam?
9. Oil spillage and pple for dea no see chop
10. Refinery with pipe underground to the north - na Jona runam doun?

Efforts to curb ghost workers and re-define the oil section by the present administration na mayhem, pple say everybody go die. E pass de people wey die for Biafra/Nigeria war?
Make all of us sef die go rest jare. Mi sef don nearly for hunger for Italy. Ndi ara!!
