I know you feel this loss very much but take it as God's will which can't be questioned or altered. I cried last night when I remembered her last words to me. I will always treasure them.

That is the truth, what most of us didn't realise was that she was always in pain, even when she made all of those posts on Nairaland or elsewhere. There was a particular day, she told me privately Oh God, this pain is too much (or something like that) and I felt totally helpless. Nay, I was helpless to do anything for her.

If I ever had an inkling this would be on Nairaland's HOMEPAGE, I would not have come here in the first place

So sad and disheartening to read that a lady full of life, with great expectations whom we also expected greatly from just slipped down, under.

There was a time she repeatedly asked us to pray for her and that frightened me a bit(I've looked for that in her posts but couldn't pin that out) after, she got comforted and continued pushing in her strength singing her songs, that was when I realized that she was in much pain. The last mail I sent to her I was even asking her, hope the pain is not being too unbearable. Trust in God etc

She wanted much to overcome this, gave me a certain website to post her case for her so that we can gather more funds and even when I told her that the owners of the site may frown at that----she talked me into writing the site owners.

I promised her that I will press on with the " Doctors without borders" until they reply us and they finally responded (in the mail below) on the 29th directing us to another organisation that may help, all these while she was already in coma. I saw the mail on friday 2nd March and immediately sent her the response suggesting that she check out the website she was directed to by the Doctors without Borders and that I will check them out too from my own end too. Such a sad loss but I am grateful for her life, her strenght, her willingness and strong resolve to fight not just to live but to be fully alive with complete use of all her bodily functions. I pray that her soul finds peace, joy and rest- Amen

I am also grateful for the hope that her struggle in the last days and the support rallied around her cause by TeHN shows just how much goodness there is in Nigeria, among the youths who are not only willing but also READY to see change in our generation. We all showed that helping one of us is helping all of us.

Her death also reflects the sad state of our hospitals as a reflection of the national malaise that corruption at all levels and in all sectors- public & private has bestowed on us. Can you imagine how many qualified doctors, specialists could have been retained in Nigeria and modern medical equipment bought with the stupendous salaries & allowances RECEIVED by our legislators, president, governors and LG chairmen

I've had this heavy lodge in my heart since I read the news yesterday. I feel so sad and teary and can only imagine how sad her family and those closely connected with her would feel.
