MUTV didn't show it live so i am not sure. Talking about MUTV, they have been crappy over the past several months. One hardly gets to watch Academy/Reserve games anymore.

With regards to the game itself, i suspect bone headed defending which has been a recurring decimal over the past couple of seasons. We have good midfielders in the Under-21s but no quality wingers, strikers, or defenders. That is why you can have close to 60% possession in a game and still lose 6-1.

Watching City vs Fulham and I am seeing a couple of average players in the City team but the system is masking their flaws...Stones and Ake are the easiest to spot.

There's a reason why the Academy hasn't produced quality defenders for the first team in years.

The scouts focus on foward players. It's just recently that the focus weirdly shifted to midfielders, that's why we have a lot of quality midfielders in the team at the same time

When it was 1-1 we had 70% possession at half time. When it was 1-2 we had 63% possession.

Yeah, they have some talented players partly because they have been getting the best local talent ahead of United cos their facilities are so much better. I however think that the main difference is coaching. Their academy has put in serious work into employing the best youth coaches in the country.
