''He has a strong mentality. He was very determined to fight against his difficult adaptation, and he's doing that in the best way. He worked really hard physically, tactically and the talent we know is there.

''He fought to improve tactically, he fought to improve physically, and now he is playing good in the League and Cup, and now evolving a bit more happiness for him, so I'm pleased."

“And we are seeing that now with a little run of games he’s producing.

“What he has different from Mata is that bit of pace. Mata’s got the trick, has he quite got the pace to go past people?

“I don’t think he has, I think Mkhitaryan has got the trick and the pace to go past people and produce what he did tonight.”

You don't need to play better than your opponent to win matches. I think it'll be better for us if we concentrate on putting the ball into the back of the net instead of hugging possession, dominating our opponents, creating goal scoring chances and failing to score.

I agree the most important thing is to put the ball in the net which has somehow been a problem with us because to score plenty goals we need to create many chances and take them, again, when we have created those chances aplenty Na that day the opposition keeper go don take ogogoro wash him eyes so that he makes impossible saves to deny Us only to go concede 5goals or more against another lower team.

I prefer hugging possession, dominating our opposition, creating chances regularly even if we fail to score which would be frustrating but would be a matter of time before we start scoring than wining while playing badly. The latter will catch up with us. Playing badly and winning can't be sustained.

Putting the ball in the net is the main thing regardless of what we play sha.

Why has Arsenal been a failure?

Exactly. One can argue that Mhiki is Mata 2.5

There is a French curse on assanal. grin

Honestly, the league is a marathon, you don't honestly believe a team can consistently play badly and win the league, even when they win a couple of games, do you?

It can happen in a knock out competition though.

C'mon, I don't expect Utd to play all games badly. I"m just pointing out a simple fact. Title contenders win games even when they don't put on their best performance.

There was a time when Utd, with SAF, won about 5 consecutive games or so by a lone goal, without playing in a spectacular fashion. After then, the performance improved but they kept winning. That's what I'm talking about. That's what champions are made of.

I don't think a top team can choose to play badly, especially against smaller teams. It's not something that's planned. It just happens on the field due to opponent superior play or tactics. That said, playing well is not the reason we didn't win against Burnley Stoke etc

Then we both saying the same thing in different ways.

We both agree putting the ball in the net is the most important thing, right? Regardless of if we played well or not.

It is also expected that when a team is playing well with dominating possessions, creating chances and all that they would have a better chance of wining the league but if they win 5games with a 1 nil scoreline when they played badly in the course of the season it can be seen as what champions are made of.

It only means the games where they dominate, create and take their chances aka playing well are more than when they play badly and still mange to win.

If true, we will get some good pace down the wing, but more competition for our forwards. With Mkhitaryan hitting form, and the fact that Ibrahimovic and Pogba must play 90 minutes, it is going to be hard time for Rooney, Martial, Mata and Lingard. I guess Young settles for deputy right back or finds another club. To think Young was our best outfit player two seasons ago, playing on the left wing.

It's clear Mourinho wants to keep Fellaini, but it is almost over for Schneirderlin and Mephis. I will also like Darmian to be sold. We have Luke Shaw, Blind and Rojo on the left. We can play Jones on the right if Valencia is injured.

is Westham going to be reasonable ?that nathe real issue in my opinion. I don't want to pay crazy money for a 30yrs old forward.
I don't think it will happen, best we just solve our problem with the players we do have.
and try season ending if e no happen.

I think he's targeting improved pace as counter attacks are non-existent @ the moment. Martial's form isn't up there yet & Rashidi isn't scoring from the wings for now but how many short term fixes are we going to have?
Players like Morgan & Memphis tho have barely had any opportunity. Darmian is up the perking order if we observe recent selections. Young should be on his merry way by now, he's tried & above 30.
