If Lukaku played 90 mins today he'd still start him for the next match which comes up in a few days. Apart from not trusting his players Mourinho is sucking all the creativity from them. Lukaku who used to be sharp in front of goal becomes confused when through on goal. Today we had about 2 chances which would've resulted in a goal only if the player had kicked the ball a fraction of a second earlier.

Defensive tactics do work, but with the right players. Mou had Drogba, Makele, Lucio, Samuel, Essien, Ballack, Terry, Carvalho, Zanetti, strong defensive demons. He had good finishers like Lampard and Milito, Pacy wingers like Duff and Robben. Match winners all over those defensive team of his.

Compare those names with Matic and Hererra. Only Jones, Valencia and Bailly fits the defensive mould of typical Mourinho players. He needs to change. This team is not defensively good. We can't win in that manner. If he wants defensive strategy, he'd get the players that fit it.
