Respect is reciprocal. If u are sensitive to ur followers, they will respect u. Even if u can't solve any of ur constituents problems, give them hope and they will still respect u. Jonathan may win most but I don't respect him. He is dumber than yaradull. If Jonathan can be Nigerian president with his mundane intellect, then I have hope to be a world leader. Do u know how many lives has already been lost to his cluelessness? Do u know how much has been laundered already? Please. God will punish every 1 that is not loyal to his people. Oh God, I weep for our generation unborn! They will never be proud of their fathers that couldn't put a stop to rubbish. To them that knows the right thing to do and does not do it, that too is sin. Jonathan, ur intelligence beats my imagination. U talk in public like a village boy. Just do and go. Run along with the shoes they gave u. I'm sick of u. |

I cant help but laugh at the crossfire on this thread. One common thing i find here, is passionate people who really care about their country. However, truth be said, when people get angry, fed up and disgusted, they spill it out, one way or the other. and most times the colour of their bile is not good to see, I believe it is absolutely right to keep praying for your leaders and not to curse them. However negative corrections like insults and verbal 'koboko' have been proven most times to work effectively when applied Lavishly. It is up to the Victim, to proove his antagonists wrong, He should be the one to make them SWALLOW the nonsense they have spit out, , by the Force of WISDOM, and really, that usually is the SWEETEST Part.! |

An elder that lies with the number of people killed during a conflict deserves no respect, an elder that loots the treasury, an elder that eats N1billion meal per annum amidst chronic poverty, an elder that kills innocents citizens deserves no insults, but curses! |
| Re: Stop The Curses by vinceobe: 4:15pm On Feb 18, 2012 |
A people gets the leadership they deserve. Nigerians know how to castigate and insult leaders, especially the one that do not come from their area. Are we not living witnesses to the insults and curses rained on Alhaji Shehu Shagari, Gen Buhari/Idiagbon, Gen Babangida, Gen Abacha, Chief Shonekan, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Alh, Umaru Yar'adua during their different regimes and now it is GEJ from especially the SW. They have a way of running down leaders without justification and peddling unsubstantiated lies and accusations and it is now a trade mark! Do not be deceived. Not everybody is a fool as not know what is right and what is wrong. Please have a change of attitude. It will give Nigeria a break! If not, rest assured that nothing will change for the better. |
| Re: Stop The Curses by BetaThings: 5:04pm On Feb 18, 2012 |
^^^^ But the SS has learnt to abuse people from elsewhere too. You did not mention what your people said about Buhari or their calling Yaradua Yaradull |

GEJ the loot public fund? lie to the people? Follow wrong advice to cause more hardship to the people? Say and do things that make no sense? Allow his wife to go on functions and say things that will embrass him, her and nigeria? I still have no electricity right now. People go curse nah. CURSE= criticism by way of abuse, name calling and insult which is a way we express out disgust. Abi no be so? I think if we have only electricity we would be quiet, civil and nice. But the thing pass suffering and smiling. Unfortunately Fela is dead. |
| Re: Stop The Curses by AZeD1(m): 6:12pm On Feb 18, 2012 |
OP get a life. Your thread would have made sense in you said "Nigerians should stop cursing". If i can insult the danfo driver who bashes my car, then i can insult the president who tries to insult me by telling me to endure for a while by removing subsidy then goes ahead to budget 1billion for he feeding. Oh by the way i'm from the south south. |
| Re: Stop The Curses by Nobody: 6:53pm On Feb 18, 2012 |
I wonder what Fela would have said To you op and to GEJ: 4ck All Y'all |
Isn't it ironic that all the gutter insults and kitchen sink tactics are coming mostly from the south-west and yorubas, the so called respectful and sophisticated people? It tells more about your upbringing, lack of manners and hypocrisy when you can't even respect the highest office in the land in a democracy. Pathetic really. Later they would run up here to remind us how respect resides and dines with them.
![]() |

Well, he's our president. As unfortunate as it is, its the truth. Let's keep voicing our opinions and hold our leaders accountable. 2015 will be here soon, hopefully we've learnt our lessons. |

There is no president that can fix Nigeria better so far as Nigeria remains one. I am not saying that there are no entities in this world that are larger than Nigeria but attitudes among Nigerians is the key here. Nigeria needs to break into pieces so that people depending where you will belong, there you stop cursing whosoever you wish to lead you and what we have in Nigeria is a ruler. Pandora's Box for SNC must solve our national problems and not GEJ. |

@OP, Good Post. Let's pray for Mr President and His Family. @Beaf, Pleassseeeeeeee!!!!!! soft pedal, don't want this thread to hijacked and before you know it we'll lose traction and start de-railing. I'd advise all those ogf us in support of GEJ not to fuel or pick issues with those who won't stop but to continue to make this point clearly that swearing, cursing and mocking Mr President or His wife is not the way to go. |
| Re: Stop The Curses by Taiw(m): 11:49pm On Feb 18, 2012 |
pt of correction, @op nobody is insulting him.he is just acting according to the names.what do u call sum1 that said he will remove subsidy by april n ends up removing it by january.A LIAR.2. what do you call someone that tells you that fuel subsidy does not benefit the poor?GNORANT AND RETARDED.3.what do you call sum1 dat says there is a cabal and he cant touch them?COWARD.What do you call someone dat wants you to sacrifice at all cost and yet feeds on one billion yearly?WICKED.what do you call sum1 dat after a bomb blast dat killed several people, all u could say is terrorism happens everywhere n it will fade away.if ur family was among d affected victims that died, will you still praise Jonathan after that comment.and this are just d little i can mention. Its just because you are a bit comfortable thats why you want us to pray for him.what about those that dont have food to eat or the unemployed graduates like me on the street.why should we respect sum1 who denied(disrespected) us our right of freedom of expression by sending soldiers to lagos in a democratic settings?where are the buses he promised, the 10,000 jobs in each state n so many fruitless promise?Jonathan as far as i'm concered is a liar, wicked, coward, inhumane, scammer, thief,, mind u these are no insults but an exhibition of his traits. |

| Re: Stop The Curses by playboy19(m): 12:24am On Feb 19, 2012 |
In as much as i understand that it is wrong to curse an office as high as that(both physicaly and spiritually) however, respect they say, is reciprocal. There is no point praying for him, instead, pray for yourself. I personally believe that one should only pray for someone who is trying and working hard to do good for the people, not someone like goodluck who is only working to do good for his Lords, the Cabal. The owners of Nigeria. Those ruling the country by proxy. Those he (GEJ) confessed are more important to him than Nigerians (160 million people) OKay, lets assume i want to start praying for him now, what kinda prayers do i say for him? Where will i start from? Is it that God should let his Lords make good decisions for him or for him to rebel against them, the cabal? Or for him to have a change of heart and return his own share of the loots? Please what exactly do you want us to say in our prayers? I know we are all familiar with this saying; An hungry man is an angry man. I guess the best set of people your president should ask for prayers right now are the newly-made-jobless bankers. Let him ask any of them for prayers and see how it plays out. |

| Re: Stop The Curses by Koolking(m): 12:57am On Feb 19, 2012 |
Typical rants of an apologist. Thank God gej is not my president. Popular decision would not have put him there, he had no antecedence, no track record of being near there. Pdp and cabal factors got him almost there. He thrust himself into that position. I dont blame the op for being his apologist, if others are comfortable as the makes the op to be,, we'll all speak his language. The level of insults rained on him shows there is no public confidence on him. Let's call a blackman a blackman. No sentiments. The same sentiment put us where we are today |

@dlox147 I really do not know wher to start but surely wish I could drag ur brainless head down to the Jerry Springer show so I can pound ur worthless skull LEGALLY @op I graduated with 2.2 nd could not secure a job for 2 years, I struggled and was able to start petroleum product delivery from Lagos to various parts of the north. The useless president u have came up with the most shocking policy an ordinary dude like me can face. Now my capital is not enough to continue trading and Nigerian banks promise you heaven on earth only to twist stories when u go for help even with a very confident turn over. Since January, I have not sold a single liter of product cos all ma client are either wanting me to give them product nd wait for payment or not even boyant to afford product, Now to ma point, with the kinda hunger nd hopless situation am in right now, do you really expect me to smile and hail the worthless retardeen president? Secondly, I lost an uncle at the Kano terror attack all cos retardeen can't take decisions to protect the citizens of this country, do I still waste ma prayers on him and his piggy-sack looking illiterate wife? For crying out loud, think with ur brain when posting something for peeps to read and not think with your behind like the puppy reterdeen u call a president. |

| Re: Stop The Curses by alahamad(m): 1:48am On Feb 19, 2012 |
@poster: Where on earth have you ever seen/heard of a president that takes a decision and come openly to tell the citizens that "he knows it is painful but we will over come the pain with time?", it means he knows its wicked and heartless. all he talks about is that busses are coming to act as safety nets for the populace, In Lagos alone, we have more than 2000 BRT/Lagbus buses servicing people plust a lot of privately owned long buses added to the multitude of Danfo, taxi, bikes, tricycles nd e.t.c yet during rush hour people still struggle at the bus-stops just so they could get home to rest for a few hours then head back out again. Retardeen brought about 100 busses what on earth will that do? Is the price hike only about transportation? What about power? So if I need to iron my shirt nd there's no light, I should jump into the useless buss nd have it ironed ryt? Look, everyone has their opinion but don't come on NL nd tell us trash just cos u are fine with whatever pain is pushed at us. We all knw Naija can't consume 30million liters of fuel daily and we all know that this hike in subsidy amount majorly started in retardeen's tenure. So oga, before I go deeper into this subsidy issue, lemme just pause for now nd just like demdem said, I won't be this nice if u vex me with foolish talk about ur reterdeen president. |

The hypocritical people crying here had no problems calling other leaders names The same beaf wailing now calls other past leaders like IBB and Buhari names daily Other here have called OBJ, Yar Adua etc names regularly But when the same is extended to their man Odechukwu Retardeen they start crying like toddlers |

GEJ is a big disgrace to the office of national presidency. Presidents world over should be embarrassed to share the same title as someone of his calibre. Goof after goof after goof after goof. . . he never stops making careless statements to make himself look stupid and clueless. If his misyarns are chronicled it sure would be a long list. . .imagine the moron apologized to diplomats in Nigeria for the disruption to normal activities caused by the January strike. Apologized to foreigners!! after he had terrorized his own citizens. Whatever abuse he's getting is well deserved, if he can't stand the heat, he should gerrout of the kitchen tssch! |

"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour." - Rom 13:1-7 |

Cursing Gej, hmmm I don't think I have, all I do is yab him (hope u know the difference) anytime he acts or talks dumb, which unfortunately is most of the time. If u feel so emotional about how powerful democracy can make a people, go and watch d BBC british parliament and how they continously batter the prime minister with yabs when he occasionally makes a small blunder which is not as often as that of our dear blockhead presido The funny thing about these bunch of losers and Gej appologists is that they have the vilest tounges against any opponent of their blockheaded leader yet come here to talk trash. Lucky Joe in words and in actions has proved more and more to be a Blockhead, if he does something wise someday ill say it out, till then am just like Fela telling it as it is ![]() |
