Can I withdraw this money , leaving my main #1m till the maturity? Please enlighten me.
Going by the 145,000 interest. Your bank will debit your account of 855000, leaving the 145,000 interest for you.
At maturity, your account is credited with 1,000,000
Hope you have already invested by now.

Only you can determine what you actually want. The longer the tenor, the slightly higher the rate.

I think it's better you lock it in for the max period (1yr) to take full advantage of d current high of 15%, largely brought about by election spending

The thinking is that post election, rates may likely fall.

The last rate for 364 days(1year) was 14.5%
Hence,14.5% of 1,000,000=145,000(less residual charges)
You will get 145,000 per annum Less residual charges........

well if this is really how 364days tenor is calc, then i will lock for 1yrs by next month feb in Gtb. let me say if someone invested 60mill for 364days at 14.8% that will be 60,000,000 x 14.8% = 8,880,000 minus Bank Charge!

i hope i got it right? because normally i got half percentages of 364days tenor while lockin in 182days tenorcry

Good evening investors..
GTBANK seems to be having serious technical issues with their treasury bills unit........I was credited and Debit today again by 7:25pm with the same amount i invested last week Auction.....Does anyone have any similar experience.?
What is really happening..?
Even my online bank statement is yet to be updated with my invested capital..

Sup Guys.
I have a little enquiry I need to confirm up here, and it's about the bank charges attached to investing in tbills regardless of whether it's in the primary or secondary market.

Based on multiple successful tbill tenders I've done, both in the primary and secondary market over time, specifically with stanbic IBTC, I've come to the conclusion that the standard bank charges for investing in tbills with STANBIC are:

TRANSACTION FEE(standard flat fee)
Primary market : 315Naira
Secondary market :300Naira.

COMMISSIONS (standard flat fee)
Primary market : 100Naira
Secondary market : Non

SAFE KEEPING FEE
This, I know nothing of how they come about the figures.

Though not significant enough to lodge complains about, they do not correlate with the 0.125% concept.

Let's take the "CONFIRMATION OF INVESTMENT " @C505 posted up here on page 674 as an example.

The 0.125% rule doesn't work here at all.
If you make it a percentage of the "Face Value", "Discounted Value" or even the "Interest Paid Upfront ".
Non works.

I would like to get clarification on this, as my research and calculations so far seem to have failed me because, at any point I purchase tbills, the total sum of charges deducted is still significantly less than 0.125% of anything.

NB: I have tried out the Tbills Calculator. It's pretty impressive but doesn't answer the questions I seek.
Even the calculator says "charges varies and are not 100% accurate ".

The sky is big enough for every bird to fly. There are some birds that take the risk of flying 7000km to go and get good returns and there are others that will not take such risk but will be content with the small chop they get where they are.

Btw, go and ask Dangote or Otedola if he will be content with earning the money the ibo trader earns from market and he go swear for you. Also go and ask the agbero on a Lagos road why he is not in the market as a trader. cool.
