Edd wasnt gven at my 12wks scan bt hpfully i ll check gender&edd @20wks scan. To b honest,i stop takin my prenatal drugs o.anytime i take it,i vomit d nxt mornin. Dnt knw wat 2do bt i make sure,i take fruits&vegs regularly. Slipin positions had bin painful,bt all d same, Glory 2 God.

Present má.. We going to register next week too at the clinic.. Then we get correct Edd.. The last two scan we did have different Edd

Kpele dear, pls how far gone are u? If u have passed ur 1st trimester u can do the ginger, lemon and honey drink cos it worked for me in me when I was 4mths gone and I had sore throat. Also I had slight cough and sore throat this morning. I just put 2teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup of hot water I gaggle it and drink very little like one teaspoon of it so it passes through my throat and I feel better now. Other mamas can advice u.

Sorry for the cough ma. Sadly I don't know what you can do and only advise I can give is that you see adoctor. You're 10weeks which means your pregnancy is still very delicate so you have to thread with caution.

@spiceeamiee Kpele dear, pregnancy smx reduces our immunity. Cough is a viral infection and doesn't easily respond to meds. U can try ways to relieve the symptoms, till it finally goes on its own.
D dry harmattan air is not ur friend at all, do the steam bath ur doc advised,to help moisten and relax ur airways.
Fill a flask with hot/warm water, squeeze in some lemon juice and original honey, sip it throughout the day, say 30 mins intervals( u might think it's a lot of water, but you need to be hydrated). Refill as needed.
Take a tablespoon of honey 3-4x daily in place of cough syrup.
Prop ur head on 2 pillows when u lay down, as coughing gets worse wen our head isn't elevated.
Vit. C tabs 100mg 3x daily.
Hopefully you'll get relief.

try beehive balsam its a cough syrup made with honey abd lemon please ask them at pharmacy to be more certain if u can take it and read the prescription.. I took it once but little buh it's very good for stubborn cough @spiceeamiee

Ginger isn't all that safe in 1st trimester, except in very small quantities (I think they say 200mg or so) or in meals

Tiwatopebam please try and stop sleeping on ur back, it's not healthy for u and baby. Reasons highlighted in a post I wrote earlier.

Good evening mama's. Abeg who here has had dry cough for over 3weeks and what did your doctor recommend for you to take? I'm tired of coughing up and down. I'm so miserable. Cant eat, can't sleep. My throat is aching. The severity of the cough is giving me headache. I have gone to the hospital and the doctor prescribed Augmentin for me for 7days and a cough syrup (Kofol). I'm on my third bottle of said cough syrup yet no relieve. Met him again today and he was surprised I still had the cough. Told me to place my head over a steaming bucket of water and continue with the cough syrup and come back in a weeks time (abeg is that even supposed to be a valid treatment plan?). Last time I had cough this serious was in 2011 in Law school and my Hausa neighbour just told me to blend ginger and boil with hot water and add honey. I took it for 2days and that was the end of the cough. I'm tempted to try same remedy but I am scared however, the level of discomfort this cough is giving me is too much. I'm crying typing this because I haven't had a good night's sleep in over 4days. Hubby too is so worried and he is calling all his sister's to ask their opinion. Pls who has an idea of something safe I can take? I'm only 10weeks gone. Thank you for your responses.

I coughed my entire first trim. In fact that was the main symptom i had. No loss of appetite, slight nausea with no vomiting and no drugs worked. Antibiotics oh, cough syrup oh, nothing. I decided to stop the medication cos I didn't know the effect on my baby and was sipping hot water with honey, lemon (NOT LIME OH) and ginger for relief till the thing stopped around 13 weeks

While dh traveled and will be back 2day, my mum has been here spoiling me for 2 days. Hehehe

Kpele dear, dunno how to threat it, but wen I had not so serious cough my FIL bought me honey, original honey, said it will melt the cough, problem is I never took it. Maybe u shd see a doctor

Chai 40 weeks tomorrow Lo no wan show, irregular contractions if don't go into labour by Friday doctor sed ill be induced. How una dey my jan mamas?

Plz oo mamas is it possible to have twins without knowing, make una no laff me oo but of recent I have been dreaming DAT I gave birth to a girl and boy....but na only 1 scan see....its not my imagination o..bcs I haven't been thinking about it.

You are not alone o.
I also went for an early scan and saw one sac but dreamt I had three boys. People have also told me they dreamt I had twins and all this isn't because I had my mind on it.

In my research on the matter I found out It's possible to have one sac with two babies in it. So yea I'd say it's possible. Keep the faith up and if it turns out it's just one be as excited as u would have been if it was more. Best wishes.
