Simple rules for babies you should know

1. Don't shake them, your baby is not a tambourine
2. Don't kiss them
3. Don't put mentholatum on them
4. They should sleep on their backs, not face down
5. Don't give babies honey. Very important.
6. Wash your hands before carrying a baby

Babies have big heads compared to the rest of their bodies.

They also have weak neck muscles causing their heads to move freely

Shaking a baby causes the brain to hit the insides of the skull over and over again

Basically beating the brain. It doesn't recover easily.

Don't give your child honey until they are more than one year old

Sometimes honey can contain bacteria that produces toxins that can cause muscle weakness and breathing problems.

This is known as infant botulism and can be very serious.

DON'T place babies on their stomachs to sleep

Put them on their backs to sleep, this helps reduce the chances of Sudden infant death syndrome

Babies can be placed on their stomach when they are awake and playing and somebody is watching them

Don’t use pillows, blankets, quilts, sheepskins,
pillow-like crib bumpers in your baby’s sleep area, and keep all those items away from your baby’s face.

They should also not sleep on adult mattresses or sofas, only in their cribs

This prevents Sudden Infant Death Syndrome

Kissing babies! Their mimmune system is not yet fully developed. Kissing them could expose to a common virus that causes blisters around the mouths of adults when theyre sick or stressed and can infect the brain of the baby. I've seen cases.

I know they're cute. But please.
Don't yank or carry children from their hands, you can easily dislocate their elbows

Don't put camphor around newborn babies, it could damage blood cells and lead to jaundice

Don't use mentholatum on babies, it could also cause jaundice

If you think they are cold, wrap them

We did a scan in the hospital two hours before the miscarriage and from the scan the doctor said everything was fine but they gave her an injection for pain and that happened. It was so bad, we had to go on vacation with two family couples for a week outside the country to overcome the trauma. Prayer also helped.

We kept praying and she's pregnant again . We decided to see a fertility specialist who is a specialist in threatened pregnancies and after a scan he recommended cyclogest, duphaston, pronatal and a low dose aspirin. She was six weeks pregnant when all this was recommended. We have been using it religiously. Just want to confirm if these drugs have been used by anyone here and if the drugs have helped anyone. Is there any side effects we have to be aware of ? The doctor has explained to us to an extent but it will also be nice to hear from real life people. Thanks

I used duphaston for a week when I was about 16 weeks gone cause the scan said I had hematoma (bleeding placenta) which worked with prayers. I'm 31 weeks gone now and baby and I are doing great.

Good morning dear mummies. I want to share a testimony o. I've been feeling weak, always thirsty( water in my dispenser lasts two days o. Just me and DH), once I sit for long my bum will start aching, if I drive for long my right leg and thigh will ache badly. But I didn't think too deeply about all those. I just felt it was part of my package. So one day my sister saw me and was like I'm beginning to look and act like our late sister before she died ( she had bad diabetes and later died of postpartum hemorrhage) I just took it as a joke o. I don't know what just laid it in my heart to google why I was always thirsty, but google suggested gestational diabetes ahhh I quickly said God forbid and decided to ignore negative thoughts, but the next day I decided to just try avoiding my daily dose of sugary food which quite a lot. I didn't tell oga any of this o, he will just say I'm being negative and tell me everything will be fine. Kai the next day ba I felt like a baby, I slept all through the night and only woke up once to pee. Unlike before when I used to wake up to pee and drink water almost 4 times in one night. My energy came back, no more body aches. In fact I feel so good. Gestational diabetes is a silent killer and it becomes worse after pregnancy please let's do well to check our sugar levels. Sorry for my long epistle o

Well, we were visiting a Fertility Clinic when we were TTC and immediately we got pregnant, the doctor prescribed cyclogest. We bought and commenced use immediately but the baby was lost at about 8 weeks too. It was devastating. And two months later, we hit the jackpot again and we decided to take our chance without cyclogest. Just Folic Acid, Calcium, Ferous. And we welcomed our princess almost two years ago. We're 22 weeks gone into our second missionary journey. I believe one miscarriage is not a verdict that the next pregnancy is threatened but I also know that these drugs don't have severe side effects. You'll carry to term and share this testimony with someone else too. Good luck and no shaking.

I only know of ugu leaf, garden egg leaf , jackfruit is very good but can only get it most in eastern part

Some people call it "hospital too far", it boast blood level....
U wash and put in a pot to boil... When d water have turn red well well u allow to cool and mix with liquid milk if u wan drink. If u can get garden egg leaf be eating it raw... Is fast action
