Jogurl: Hi Mama's in the house. I am 33 weeks pregnant and 4 days, I am feeling a lot of pressure on my pelvis and pain while trying to change positions while sitting or sleeping. I feel very uncomfortable. So I want to ask if it's possible that the baby decides to come early. I and DH tried to have sex today and I started feeling serious cramps, went to wash up and my vagina opening was so wide, it scared me. I am due June 28th Is the vagina opening being too wide that Cervix and vagina are not the same and you can't touch your cervix except when you squat etc which you can't possibly do. Sorry for the pain, maybe your baby is already in cephalic position. If the pain persists, please see your doctor. H&H bumping |

Xtagrace, so sorry about the pains. I had multiple fibroids (4) during my first pregnancy, that degeneration pain is something else (couldn't stand, sit or walk,I could only kneel and rest my head on the bed), I can't remember the drugs I took then, but I know I had to skip work for 2 days.
This is my second pregnancy, scan still showed multiple fibroids (3), I don't pray to experience that pain this time around.
Sorry Thanks Mama. You truly understand how painful this is. God will not allow you experience the pain this time around. I was just discharged from the hospital. They got tired of injecting me with pain killer. I feel abit relieved but the pain is still there. Right now, am just here praying to God to heal me completely. Please@glimpse, do you know what triggers the pain so I can avoid it next time? Thanks |

Kindly permit me to deviate a bit from pregnancies as I need to celebrate this here. Today makes it a year since I welcomed my Prince and Joy giver to the world (quoted Birth Story was shared here on this thread this day last year). Indeed God has been faithful towards us as the past 365days has been fun filled with this my young man. Shout out to angeltolly, the then May 2020 cappo and to other mamas. Those expecting I say safe delivery to you all. Dedewizzy: Greetings to all mamas and dads in the house. I've been a silent follower of this thread for a few weeks now and it wouldn't be fair if I don't share this here.
So sometime last year my wife missed her period, from our local calculations from her lmp EDD fell on the 24th of May but first scan we did by her 21st week gave the EDD for 9th of May. Yours truly wasn't really bothered since from every indication it wouldn't exceed the month of May.
It was quite a smooth ride all through. Fast forward to 7th of May around 2am she began purging after that stomach started aching which got severe as time went on. I checked the date and discovered its just 2days to EDD and this should be labour, I called wife's sister who confirmed the signs was for labour that we should dash for the hospital. Around 6am we set off for the hospital. A nurse checked her and said it isn't yet time but she should still wait for the doctor. Meanwhile the pains (more like contractions) had suddenly disappeared. Doctor also confirmed that it isn't labour that she still has a quite a while to go. He offered her Flagyl to stop the purge. Yours truly was kind of relieved and disappointed at same time. I had already informed some people that wifey was in labour. We went back home and normalcy resumed.
Fast forward to the early hours of this morning 15th May, around 3am contractions started it got so pronounced that around 4am it started coming at an interval of 3minutes apart. I had read a handful from this beautiful thread already to know that this was the real deal. Remembering what happened the previous week, I didn't bother calling anyone this time around so as not to raise another false alarm and risk not to be taken serious anymore. I told her to get set so we leave for the hospital, contraction continued and the urge to poo set it. I begged her not to as from my few weeks here it might just be the baby coming down as I can't risk attending to her if it happens in the restroom. I've gained a lot of knowledge from here but midwifery wasn't one. Against my plea she still did poo and thank goodness nothing happened. She was set after a while and we set off for the hospital.
A nurse checked her and all she said was "one finger" and referred her to the next room to seat. All trials to make her explained exactly what she meant by the one finger proved abortive. At that moment I remembered "Google is your friend" I quickly went to search for the meaning only to discover she's just 1-2cm dilated and it might still take a while for the baby to come. I explained the meaning for wifey and she decided if that was the case she should go to work. This was kicked against and she was asked to remain. I decided to set off for work.
Now the testimony, I was just getting to the office when I received a call from her. I was thinking probably they have come to check on her again and maybe it has increased to "two fingers" but no. I heard the best statement I've heard all year which was she telling me "the baby is out". I couldn't hide my excitement. Everything progressed so fast. She didn't spend upto 30 minutes in the delivery room before our prince landed around past 8am. Baby weighing 3.2kg, mother strong and healthy with no tears, no inducement no prolonged labour. It can only be God. I'm eternally grateful.
From a proud and happy husband turn father. 39 Likes |

I thought lantoro is a psychiatric indian03: BS! BS! BS PART ONE (PREGNANCY JOURNEY)
I got pregnant immediately I wanted to . My first baby turned 2 in August and I tested positive in late August. My last period was July 29, I started planning Immediately and has sex everyday and my next period didn't come. I was so sure I would get pregnant (by Allah's grace). Hmmm testing positive was so easy but carrying the PREGNANCY was not. I started having morning sickness, spitting, weakness, no appetite coupled with ulcer the next day. I had to go to my mum's to stay with her for 4 months. I took my daughter along cos she couldn't stay without me. Those 4 months was hell!. I cried most times. I took drips twice...I took injections from 4 different hospitals yet I was not better. Vomiting /nausea, spitting., weakness and loss of appetite was my constant pain. It made my ulcer worst. There was a time I was shaking uncontrollably for like 30 minutes..I thought I was going to die. Remembering those days scares me so much . I couldn't take any drugs. Yes, throughout my pregnancy I only took fansidar once when I was 35 weeks. I didn't take folic, or vitamin c or any other drugs...thinking about them makes me throw up..holding them in hand makes me miserable for days. I love injections, my mother drove me to hospital everyday for weeks to take injections yet I never improved. To bathe I had to sit down..I couldn't stand up to bathe. At 12weeks I thought I would be better NO...I started getting better around 18 weeks...I mean the vomiting reduced..thats all. But till I give birth, nausea, heartburn, weakness abd a lot of spitting stayed with Me. I was always with Gasco yet it only temporary relieve. The only food I could eat was semo and ugwu...well jollof rice too but not all d time. I ate ugwu almost everyday till I give birth.. no other vegetables...I couldn't stomach some fruits but because I did not take any single prenatals I tried to take mango, grapes, pineapples once in a while. Oh God this pregnancy showed me shege. God bless my hubby for me. After 4 months I came back to lagos. He has always been d one doing d cooking and taking care of our daughter and house chores. If I perceive aroma...I will b miserable so he cooked for me throughout the pregnancy. The only water I could take was ice water. If the water does not have little ice I will vomit...throughout the pregnancy..its only chilled water I could take. I could not even wash plates or bathe my daughter...I was constantly weak and emotional. I started craving for fine sands around 35 weeks...it was so high but my hubby always monitored me to resist it. My pregnancy journey was no fun at all. Walking became difficult when I Was heavy...my hubby always carry me up from bed honestly cos the discomfort was much. At times I feel faint too. I always pray to God to let my baby be alright because I didn't take any drugs not that I didn't want but I just couldn't...I feel sad and cry whenever I see a pregnant woman drinking normal water especially when I see them taking it with drugs. I would he like God why me? Why can't I take drugs?. When I was 36 weeks my BP was 125/80 . My BP has never exceeded 120 before infavt it has always been low. I asked doctor and he said its normal..I had traces of protein too he said its normal. That was the last antenatal I did in lagos. My hubby and I travelled to abeokuta to give birth there. I wanted to use oba ademola hospital. I went there thrice they were on strike. A week has already wasted and I was not ok with the fact that my vitals couldn't be checked for a week. I went to lantoro hospital in abeokuta but honestly I hate their toilet (lol). The place is old. I always prefer cleaned new hospital(I wish). Then I just summoned courage and told hubby to let us use private hospital. The gynecologist there is also the director of oba ademola hospital which is a government hospital. It was Wednesday then...I was exactly 38 weeks 1 day. I went to do scan and scan gave me 39 weeks 5 days and that my baby weight was 3.84kg. I was not happy so that day we saw the doctor abd I registered for antenatal even though they just collected my money cos what antenatal at 38 weeks plus

In breastfeeding, my wife use majorly formula (SMA Gold) and breastfeeding intermittently. She complained she can't do exclusive on both of them. Please is this practice in order. The most important thing is baby being fed. I wanted to do exclusive breastfeeding, but my body had other plans. I've not been able to produce enough milk to meet my baby's demands (he has also refused to suckle directly so I have to express). We have been on formula since day one, and I give breastmilk when I am able to. Baby is doing just fine. I'm sure Wifey and baby will do just fine. 7 Likes |
