Way back, it used to be quite a common act to see couples (husband and wife) fighting and then the children will be crying out to call neighbors to come and seTtle the scuable especially amongst the below avarage class and poor backgrounds.

I sit and wonder if couples/parents still fight physical to the extent that neighbors will be the ones to come and settle the fight and treat the wounds of one of the affected victims.

One woman beats her husband when necessary, sound beating.
When neighbors come, wife begins to cry as if she was the one beaten.
Neighbors begin to scold and reprimand the husband.
Husband is always too ashamed to say what actually happened.
For husband, double trouble in the form of a beating and the neighbors rebuke.
