Thermal station are better than hydro station in power generation. People are not building Hydro station again,  concentrate on thermal station, since we are wasting the gas in the Niger delta. You also solve pollution at the same time,  And Niger delta would not complain,  If you increase all those obasanjo project from 300 MW to 1000 MW. you would solve large portion of the problem. Another Idea for President Yar Adua is to use Nigeria with dual citizenship to borrow money abroad to doing project if profit is involve. Some have good credit rating with guarantee from Federal govt, some banks can borrow out money to them, That way you bring investment into Nigeria.
