I Rewatched deportivo vs acmilan 2004 ucl match,and i still can't fathom how that mostly old deportivo team could play like they were youths.It made me curious if footballers use "performance enhancing drugs" .so i decided to dig up information on how much doping occurs in football and what i found was staggering,as a matter of fact,several ex-players revealed how popular doping is in football.
now i can't seem to remove several games that i had seen players reach crazy heights.for instance, the ucl madrid lifted by beating athletico 4-1 in extra time.it just didn't make sense that the very physical and fit,athleti team were out of steam at the end of regular time and madrid players were outrunning and reacting faster than them in extra time.
It would be nice if someone could share more information on this issue.

In Nigeria, players use trams and alabukun. In pro football, you don't play with empty stomach bro. You have supplements to boost your performance, which are not illegal, while some are.

Most players that do PED, don't even use masking agents. They know they are covered.

Lance armstrong, a pro cyclist was banned in 2013 and stripped of his 7 tour de france title,he confessed himself,months after several tests by UCI didn't find proof that he doped .cycling is nowhere as big a sport as football is,and i find it hard to believe that pro-players don't have incentive to cheat in a sport where your pay is very dependent on your performance and the stakes are higher. since Ufc adopted stringent testing methods and timing,we now see more fights cancelled/pp due to "injuries". doping is common in almost every sport except "FOOTBALL" i find this hard to believe as football is greatest of all.

Italian football teams did a load of doping in the 90s and 2000s. Mathias Almeyda told a story how when he was at Lazio, the doctor used to give them an injection before matches, and after the injection, he would be able to jump and touch the ceiling with his head.

Doping has not been a major issue in football because the authorities have traditionally turned a blind eye towards it.

Italian clubs had doping programs for years. I remember the Juve team that beat Ajax in the UCL final with men that could run for 90 mins and more.

In 2007 he was exonerated by the Italian FA but had to prove his innocence again when Italy’s anti-doping authorities reopened the case. Then Barcelona coach, he was finally cleared of all charges in 2009.

nihilistjnr doping tests in soccer are nowhere near enough to catch cheats.most of those caught were mostly using recreational drugs.in fact before the 2018 worldcup a russian doctor who worked in the system exposed how russia has a state funded doping network with enough evidence to sufficiently ban several footballers,what did fifa do,open an investigative panel that comfortably found "insufficient evidence".funny enough the doc is under witness protection in usa.
