for me, the problem with American police isn't everyone having gun although it contributed to it too.

There are many countries where guns are legal and these bullshit is not constant.

There are way too many hate groups in America that still function and have a lot of member today compared to other western countries like UK for example.

Let more officers be held accountable!!! I have heard bants about police being scared and shooting even unarmed people in the assumed imagination of a threat. How can you have a system where 95% of officers don't get charged for these things and you expect encounters with police not to be tense.

It's a pity that nobody is willing to find middle ground but these bullets do not discriminate. The more immediate and feasible solution is for more officers to be held accountable for their crimes and then move from there

This issue have been rehashed severally.
The US is a country whereby a black man there can do everything right and still be killed by a cop.

The history of race relations plays a very vital role in the mentality we are seeing now. The children and grandchildren of those who lynched black men and raped their women are still alive, those who opposed the right of a black man to vote or share a public facility with a white man.
These people and their offspring are still alive and have simply reinvented their sinister methods, it's only that now we can capture some of these actions on camera.

Yes, the 2nd amendment rights makes the situation more dire but the problem IS NOT BECAUSE of the 2nd amendment, it is simply a factor of the problem.
Afterall, there are other advanced countries with high civilian ownership of guns where we don't constantly see this crass violence or worse so this disproportionate violence, for instance Canada, Switzerland and most of the Nordic countries allow and have a high degree of gun ownership in their society, yet we don't constantly see the school shootings or high rate of gun violence.

The American society is deeply polarized both racially, ideologically and politically. The current president makes it far worse. You can't expect black folks to fold their arms and do nothing while being treated badly.
