they should Enforce the law- Zero tolerance for bad drivers If possible they should introduce biometric drivers licence like the new passport or merge the information from the immigration service so they have a database that way they can ban bad drivers for a period of time and if caught driving they go to jail Insurance should be compulsory especially for commercial drivers M.O.T checks should be made compulsory and valid for 6month at a time, no m.o.t no insurance There should be different class of drivers licence for commercial transport drivers Roads should be clearly marked, most roads dont have 'lanes' just bare open road all new road contract should include solar powered street light Highways should also have cat's eyes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat's_eye_(road) |

@Mr Dis Guy, Good ideas but how do you police zero tolerance? How do you enforce that someone whose licence has been taken away cannot get behind the wheel? Can you issue a warrant for an arrest for someone who cannot be traced? He has no bonafide address we just know he lives in "Ketu" area If every address is in a database we can start from there apart from that I don't see it happening |

proo212: most adults in nigeria are getting their 'e-passport' so their details will be stored on a database i think the govt can collate data from School I.D, banks cards, National I.D cards and so on we can make our own big brother Nigeria a heavy handed approach will be to withdraw funds directly from drivers account or suspend their debit card until they pay their fine or show up in court |
