Air maroc or airfrance will offer the cheapest tho I only searched for bologna. I settled fir air France for 145k, a return ticket that would bring me back before year end.

My wife departed Nigeria on 29th Sept.2012 on KLM flight which was due to transit in Amsterdam afterwhich the traveller connect flight to her final destination,which is Florence in this case. She took her Nigeria mobile line with her and I was able to call her on the phone when she got to Amsterdam. She have to wait from 5:00 am to 8:40pm when the connecting flight will depart Amsterdam to Amerigo Vespucci Airport Florence,which will arrive Florence @ 10:45pm.
I was also able to chat online with her when she got to Amsterdam,I think there is free internet service there. She told me she needs a rest while chatting with her around 12:55pm Sunday and told me she will come back online in the nxt 3hrs. I called her on the fone around the same time,but the mobile network was not connecting and she did not come online. Initially,I did not get worried because I concluded maybe the plan has departed Amsterdam and she probably might be on board. Since last night,I have not heard from her and I am worried a bit. She is a first time traveller,an International student.
I am calling on fellow Nairalanders who are experienced to throw in advice and suggestion about what might have happened or what is really happening. I was told pay fone centres around d Florence Airport close @ 8:00 pm and that she needs a home address to get a simcard to be able to call. I am worried. Please help me with useful infos.

I got to US on KLM plane and we stopped over at schipol airport for 3 to 4hrs (can't remember anymore). Don't worry she will get to her destination safe.

Master just relax she will call you soon...even if she gets a sim,she will have to wait 24-48hrs for activation so just relax and begin burst wine say ur wife don land.

Worry not bro. Italy is a funny place for a new person especially if the person is travelling for the first time albeit a woman. I got a family that took me in the day i arrive and it was with their phone i was able to reach my family else it would have been impossible. My phone roams in italy but cant receive call nor call out except for text messages i receive. She needs a code Fiscale before she can get a sim so i am sure she will need to call with an alternative line.

Did anyone come to meet her and what accomodation was pre arranged. Dont fear sha, too much law for this land but I am sure she is ok.

U guyz r gr8. I love Nigeria and I will always love Africa and Nigeria. She called me on d fone last night and tld me dat on arriving d schl,she explained situation of thing 2 one of her classmate who happens to be an African (Zimbabwean) Then the Zimbabwean took her to a Nigerian store close to where she lives,fortunately 4 my spouse,the lady that works in the store is a Yoruba lady,who later explained 2 her dat she lives in a small room and that her own boss has home in d same city. She took her to the family and the family has a vacant room of €350/mth. She tld me d family is nice and she likes the place so far. Yes,the family too is an Ibo family.
I will keep u all posted as things unfold.

she dont just need a codice fiscale to buy a sim card.she needs a document of identity,passport or carta di identita which is identity card.but since she dont have carta di identita yet she can use nigerian passport...like i said the card comes minimum 3months but the codice fiscale is the numbers and letters so before it comes you will have a fotocopy at hand before the card comes and it will be given to you at the agenzia della entrata....dont worry those friends will put her through...or she could ask them to use their documents or buy without documents(not all network)

Baba na when she don finish with the residence permit I go relax ooo she must do dat within 8 days of her arrival. It will cost her €200. I am finding a way to transfer lil money to her now. Anyway,I will keep u posted of d latest development. Thank U Boss.
