download the official firmware from samfirmware.com, then flash.

Hey peeps, miui v5 for gt-i9300 is out.. Just got it rolling on my device.. The interface is still slick as always, it's quite stable and battery friendly.. Check these out

It's been there for a while.. I prefer it sometimes to xbmc since I could use any video player to watch movies... Streaming is faster with less buffering and it's not a cpu hogger like xbmc. Xbmc has better features and support, an advantage...

I was rowing on the same boat with you but I gotta say I'm impressed with this build.. It's official and it's partly built on touchwiz.. There are many unofficial builds out there though.. The version to search precisely is v3.4.5
