When you tell a christian of the ugly scenes in the old testament such as God authorising genocide, murder, blood sacrifices etc, I've heard christians claim we are in a new & better covenant, the blood of jesus has done away with the old covenant and we don't have to follow the laws and rules in the old testament. But isn't Malachi 3 also in the old testament and before the blood of jesus was shed? so the blood should have done away with Malachi 3 and tithes as well
