Saw this on instablog earlier. First of all, there is need for thorough investigation to separate the guilty from the innocent.

Those proven guilty should be severely dealt with, especially the foreigners. Imagine coming into a country to build a massive facility that will churn out criminals on that scale!

Hopefully we meet all economic parameters and overshoot our projections.

There's dire need for economic diversification, transparency, accountability and sincerity of purpose in creating a safe and conducive climate for investors (foreign and local).

Wasteful recurrent expenditure should also be emphatically addressed once and for all so that focus can shift to capital budgeting and productivity.

GBV is endemic in northern Nigeria. Too many sad stories. I don't think it is enshrined in any true religion or culture. We should all apply common sense and be human first. If not that our criminal justice system is not 100% reliable, most of all these perpetrators would have been behind bars. Nevertheless, report all cases to the relevant authorities and hope and pray for justice.
