Bello set to nominate deputy Bello GOVERNOR Yahaya Bello may have found a suitable deputy to work with. He hopes to make up for the unconstitutionality of his election by submitting the name of a replacement to Kogi House of Assembly for approval as deputy governor, having coerced the members to submission. That will not legalise the illegalities already committed. The applicable maxim of law in this sense is that, you cannot put something on nothing and expect it to stand. What the constitution demands is that he should have run the contrived supplementary election with a running mate. The misbehavior of INEC and APC in the Kogi imbroglio makes it look as if there is no law in the land. Declaring an election of November 21 that had been constitutionally won and lost inconclusive, thereby paving way for the emergence of Alhaji Bello, was the peak of their lawlessness. Indisputably, the making of Alhaji Bello as Governor of Kogi State is a perversion of the constitution and travesty of democracy. It is doubtful if the originators and perpetrators of the idea thought and still think well about Kogi State. It is equally doubtful if they imagined the magnitude of the pains and shame their travesty and perversion have brought upon the people of the state. read more; http://tapread.net/2016/02/05/kogi-bello-set-to-nominate-deputy/

Can the chairman and a member of the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) conduct proceedings where the Constitution says it must be constituted by two members and a chairman? Was the CCT wrong to have assumed jurisdiction over the trial of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, charged with false asset declaration, without one of its members? These are some of the issues to be decided today by the Supreme Court as it delivers judgment in the appeal brought before it by Saraki. Saraki appealed the October 30, 2015, judgment of the Court of Apeal, Abuja, which dismissed his appeal challenging the jurisdiction of the CCT to try him for alleged false declaration of assets. Saraki was arraigned before the CCT on September 22, last year on a 13-count after initial resistance, prompting the tribunal to issue a bench warrant for his arrest. Although he pleaded not guilty to the charge, he not only challenged the power of the CCT to try him, but the composition of the tribunal and the legality of the charge, which he said was not endorsed by the attorney general of the federation (AGF). In its October 30 judgment, a three-man panel of the appellate court, in a split decision of two-to-one held that Saraki’s appeal lacked merit. Untitled-1 The leadership tussle in the Osun State Council of Obas yesterday led to an indefinite postponement of the monthly meeting of the council. It was gathered that when the advance team of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Eniitan Ogunwusi brought his special chair to a vantage position to preside over the meeting, they were allegedly resisted by the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran. But the Ooni’s men were said to have told Oba Aromolaran that they were sent by the monarch to put the chair at that particular spot. The disagreement brought the yet to kick off meeting to an abrupt end. It was gathered that Governor Rauf Aregbesola had been briefed about the incident and the monarchs were summoned to the Government House for a meeting to resolve the crisis. Oba Aromolaran had last year at one of the meetings of the council said he was unanimously elected the substantive chairman of the council. He said he was nominated by the Ataoja of Osogbo and other monarchs supported the nomination. However, the monarch was said to have introduced himself as the vice chairman of the council at the December 2015 meeting which was the maiden meeting attended by the Ooni after his inauguration. It was gathered that shortly after the governor’s brief meeting with the monarchs, Oba Ogunwusi was said to have travelled to Ilesa immediately apparently to make peace with Oba Aromolaran in his palace. At the meeting, Oba Aromolaran was said to have pledged his support to Oba Ogunwusi in his move to unite the Yoruba people. read more: http://tapread.net/2016/02/05/osun-council-of-obas-chairmanship-tussle-divides-council/ |

IGP Solomon Arase The Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase has revealed that there are plans to introduce the use of stun guns for officers, who are on assignment in within the city. The IGP, who made the revelation at the commissioners’ of police conference held yesterday in Abuja, said with the use of stun guns, cases of accidental discharge and deaths would be reduced. He said persons, who resist arrest and behave violently can be shot at without grievious bodily harm. The IGP explained that in order to improve the conduct of police officers in this new year, monitoring teams have been put in place to watch over and report errant officers for the required punishment to be meted. The conference, the IGP noted was meant to help the police evaluate the national patterns of crime with a view to fashioning pathways that will guide policy activities in 2016 by drawing on lessons from the previous year that can enhance the operational capabilities in the 2016 policing year. Issues that dominated discussions at the meeting included the rate of kidnappings nationwide, deployment of personnel in areas liberated from insurgents the northeast, cattle rustling, armed robbery and other highly organised crimes. The IGP, however, reiterated police commitment towards adapting to the changing situations across the country. “As strategic police managers, the task of assuring the safety of citizens of this great nation is not only sacred, it is one that we must consistently dedicate ourselves to in the passionate and optimal manner. “In the increasingly complex global space, where policing is now driven by citizens’ consent, intelligence and technology, we can no longer afford to stay dormant.’’ http://telltimes..com/2016/02/accidental-discharge-igp-to-introduce.html

I have been following Judgments and electoral proceedings for quite a long time, I have almost seen it all that I almost turned to a judge on my own, I can use another case to judge the other, I have always noticed supreme court as formalities to Tribunal and Appeal court. In recent times the Supreme court renders opposing judgment against Tribunal and Appellate court Judgments hereby rendering useless Judgments being previously passed by the Tribunal and the Appellate court, What could have gone wrong? Can we say the Judiciary have been compromised or shall we say the quack ones had taken over parts of the Judiciary, be it the Appellate, Tribunal and Supreme court because the recent trend is worrisome, It sounds incredulous: I call for the removal of the Election Tribunal and Appellate Court since it is no more credible, could it be a gimmick to produce more income for the third arms of Governance? Could the wastage be moving from the senate to the Judiciary? If you ask me Na who i go ask, It is getting funnier day by day, since judiciary is the last hope of the common man, let the common man get a chance to justice as quick as possible, stop wasting time with Tribunals or Appellate, The Judiciary have in the past made mandate stealer grip hold to governance for 3+yrs out of 4yrs, The Supreme Court and the overturning of Judgements ehn, What really happened to the Judiciary? We need salvation, Once again I call for the total scrap of the Tribunal and Appellate and let the supreme Power of Justice have its way as quick as possible. |

Why do pastors deceive their members? Why don't they tell them that the bible never recommended money for tithe? The biblical tithe was a tenth of the seeds and fruits of the land and of the animals which ate of the land. . Leviticus 27;30-32, Malachi 3;10. "Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be FOOD in my house." . NB; God did not say, "That there may be MONEY in my house." . Before you rush to defend those guyS meHn, know that the bible stated clearly that the food items collected as tithes were used to feed the Levites, the poor, widows, orphans and stranded strangers. And not for the servants of God to live an extravagant luxurious life style at the expense of their poor members. . As a matter of fact, any pastor that preaches and collects money as tithes is a swindler, an anti church/Christ and MIGHT rot in hell. Your opinion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ?? |
Aisha Yesufu has been in the news for the right reasons. What got her in the line of partisan fire was her account of the meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and parents of the abducted girls of Chibok, which she witnessed and reported last week. She wasn’t impressed, and wasn’t also afraid to admit so. For this brave indiscretion, a tribe of partisans has risen and formed a counterforce against her activism. Their outrage was a betrayal of what she advocates as a strong pillar of the #BBOG campaign. Aisha is a private citizen, businesswoman, wife and mother. She’s an advocate of good governance, she is not a member of the political establishment. I know her well enough to express that she has no political affiliation, nor ambition. Born and bred in Kano, she’s of Edo State descent. A sketch of her biography is all one needs to realise the extent of her sacrifice in a clime of “federal character principles”, where the cartographers of ethno-religious bigotries will never even let her aspire to a political office. One may thus see now why she’s misunderstood by the fire-spitting minions who always lurk around to pounce on any critic of Buhari. Her account of the meeting portrayed the President as emotionally absent and his Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Aisha Jummai Alhassan, as contemptuou insensitive and mischievous. Even Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, in challenging reports that the President left the meeting visibly angry, corroborated claims that parents of the missing girls present “didn’t feel him”. Both the President and his Minister, according to various accounts, were uninspiring. The summary of the meeting was: the group was mounting too much pressure on the government even though the abduction took place in the last administration. On Twitter, Maureen, another extraordinarily resilient member of BBOG, reported a troubling exchange between Aisha Alhassan and Aisha Yesufu. The Minister, according to Maureen, asked grieving parents to leave everything to God. In their defence, Aisha Yefusu asked why she went to court and not God on losing the Governorship election in TarabaState. Poignant! If there’s one voice I will always regard as unquestionably credible in this campaign, it has to be Aisha Yesufu‘s. Unlike the others who’ve had a stint with a government or have been politicians, she IS neutral to partisan allegiances. She’s only pitched tent with the better alternative, and furiously supported Candidate Muhammadu Buhari in the period running up to the 2015 general elections. Some of the cyber-thugs who have taken up a challenge to shame her, have never done in their entire life what she does in a single day, committing, for the about 750 days past, her hard-earned resources to advocating for the rescue of our Chibok girls. At the time many were reluctant to lending their voice to the story of the abduction, she emerged from absolute oblivion and challenged the Jonathan-led government to be honest in admitting its poor response to the condition of citizens abducted in northeast Nigeria. Of Chibok girls, while some bigoted people attempted to deemphasize them for being mostly Christians, this Muslim woman defied the polarizing scheme of mediocrity in championing what has now become symbolic. She drew the attention of the world to the previously overlooked cases of abduction of our innocent citizens in that terrorist-infested region. She was so notorious in her confrontations with Jonathanians that when the veteran journalist, Hajiya Bilkisu Yusuf, died in a stampede in Saudi Arabia, some, mistaking Bilkisu for Aisha, put up a picture of of the latter to celebrate the death. Because she was a bogey to those agents of darkness who promoted the tragedy that was Goodluck Jonathan. Aisha’s only flaw, which her critics fail or refuse to recognise, is that she’s not politically correct. Unlike Dr. ObyEzekwesili, who’s friends with prominent people in our political establishment, she does not belong in the elite class, and doesn’t give a damn how she’s perceived by them. A day to ministerial inauguration, Barr. Solomon Dalung, then a ministerial designate, was at the BBOG sit-out, and Aisha, being Aisha, looked him in the eyes and said, “You are one of us. Tomorrow you will be a part of them. We don’t know your portfolio yet, but we want you to represent our interests there. And if you don’t… ” And then she shook her head. Dalung got her message. This is the Aisha these partisans who have never done anything different to promote justice in this country seek to shame. It doesn’t matter to them that her account of theBBOG group’s meeting with President Buhari was simply her honest perception of the man’s attitude towards them. She hadn’t come to look at a deity in reverance, but to meet ahuman elected to do better than a failed human before him. Some of her traducers, in the last bid of their desperation to shame her, resorted to sharing a 5-minute video of Aisha Alhassan to present the events of a meeting that lasted for hours. I hope they see the cruelty of their mischief. And those who are asking the campaigners to “give up and face reality”, such damning absurdity is not a surprise coming from partisan savages. I just hope they know what it means to imagine their own biological daughter alive, and being abused, among a cult of their fellow savages who differ from them only in the style of their savagery If the girls of Chibok were of famous surnames, children of the criminally wealthy somebodies of Maitama, Asokoro and Aso Drive distric of Abuja, and abducted at Loyola Jesuit, Whiteplains British School, El-Amin International School, International Community School or Nigerian Turkish International College, there would never have been a loss or lack of intelligence on their whereabouts, and no government would ever risk not making them its priority. That we have a kind-hearted woman such as Aisha Yesufu, who’s neither a politician nor political, losing her resources and health to amplify the voice and publicise the agonies of the nobodies whose children were abducted, is one heroism we ought to support. May God save us from us! By Gimba Kakanda @gimbakakanda on Twitter www.tapread.net/2016/01/22/aisha-yesufu-victim-of-partisan-savagery-by-gimba-kakanda/ |
I @9jaclicktivist have always told you that sharia law is for the oppressed and you have castigated me on this, I think I am vindicated now. OK this is how it goes, Many Northerner that have stolen, even if it was pin were sent to the sharia court, any moral sin were also tried in the sharia court and guilty people are always amputated or stoned to death, the sharia does not honour the law of Nigeria a times, now why are the likes of Dasuki and co not tried in the sharia court since anybody that belong to the sharia state is automatically admitted to the sharia law, after standing trial in Abuja can they also stand trial in their states, can we see the big thieves getting amputated and let's see the equality before the law, this is how the northern elders introduced one law or the other to furthermore oppress their followers. Mrs Bamidele Ademola-Olateju also said, Sharia Monger, cross border pedophile and child molester Ahmed Sani Yerima who wanted Amina Lawal stoned to death for adultery until overwhelming national and international outrage stopped him, the man who cut Jangedi's hand for stealing a goat has been slammed with multiple counts of grand larceny, embezzlement and conversion. Will sharia apply? How many limbs shall we cut off? I suggest we remove his testicules first. That way young girls can be safe around him. Barawo, shege! Judgement will soon be given on the Senate sham election. |
Our Beloveth President, Sir, it’s a new year, a new dawn and we are happy it met us under the canopy of Change, many things are changing, you are really changing our bad past giving your best to humanities making Integrity a race every young Nigerians are willing to take on Mr President, Nigerian youths would like to remind you that youths are crucial and essential in any national development because powerful nations in the world uses the youth in building social cohesion, economic prosperity and political stability in a nation likened to ours with such an inclusive and democratic leadership. It is unfortunate that here in Nigeria virtually all our successive government gives a damn, they give bairn-like approach to youths development, whereas youths are to be involved in building and development of our nation. For a progressive government the involvement of youth in national development is a must. In fact, youths plays one of the most important roles in nation building. Youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also the partners of today but it is sad we are not partners in building our tomorrow. Sir, In the last election young people became social actors of change and progress, they are a crucial segment of a nation’s development, Alas, the government as at today have no road map, no agenda for the youth, its not just about building classroom or sponsoring sporting activities, our jet clubs are not sponsored, inventors always end up dieing with their ideas in this country, We are yet to see an inventors and innovators union, Youths problem is not money. I can remember vividly how Adidas is now making money with our Nigerian born youth, a shoe designer, What about Internet guru Philip Emegualli? Its been months and nothing has been done for the youths. Mr it is also well noted that “No nation had succeeded the way Nigeria has been run in the last quarter century” and it required different values to snatch the promise from the jaws of selfishness and ignorance of a generation that has consumed its share of posterity and prosperity, rubbished the possibilities for their children and in gluttony are gabbling up the prospects for their grand children. For most youths Life has been an impassioned struggle for liberation of what I always thought of was a history held hostage. The freedom war of change has been waged not with certainty about the best way forward, but with fortitude in providence being kind to honest, and determined effort and we are also quick to understanding that the generation squandering the promise of Nigeria was not necessarily the wicked one, but a generation that had failed to understand the historic mission of its generation and had allowed petty self-interest to let it mortgage today and tomorrow. How do we raise people’s consciousness without telling them they are ignorant people? Sir, Since the past 5 years I have challenged from without and engaged from within, but was clear in my mind that whatever I communicated was in the citizens political consciousness. Sir I realized it is not about me but about the burden of a generation, and so I was always awkward about the attention and result struggle brought a times. Now I have decide to made a deliberate decision and focus on the issues that were threatening a generational mission on the one hand and to work with shaping the consciousness of the generation next, through advocacy and academic work. Even though, as a student, the choice is all about helping others build successful ventures to inspire a Nigeria rising as more grace than is fair to expect, had come my way, and sustained the stretch these roles may put on me, but my unspoken fear was that all the sacrifice may work towards nil, as a small cabal, obsessed with power, beyond purpose seemed steadily steering Nigeria towards the same failed end-state I feared. Mr President, I was beginning to feel life’s struggle may amount to a waste, but I am too scared to articulate it lest I cause many who have hope because of my proselytism on the Nigeria condition to despair. Poor zeal had to begin to assure me there is much value from my time of being for the complexity of what Nigeria is struggling with is in the fact that within the same generation, that was failed, by one of its own, many still recognize the need to salvage coming generations from the errors of their time but alas a few of the same generation constituting a cabal, who thinks they define the age, have arrogantly continued to uphold their ways, and wants to continue in the power arena they arrived at as twenty-something-years old, even as they reach their 70th birthday. As a young Nigerian, I was angry, as insights showed me a tomorrow that was the beginning of economic meltdown and civil docility in a country of promise and a people of hope who would redeem the black man from several hundred wilderness years of oppression and slavery; Sir, We the youths are filled with bubbling enthusiasm which has to be regulated and utilized right-away, this can surely ensure rapid national development. After all, all the people can only exercise their full potential when they are young and energetic for Youth is that period in which revolutionary thoughts spring to mind and these thoughts shape the world we live in. Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, is a living example: youths possess a revolutionary, Zuckerberg thought and he exercised his thought and look how he has changed the world today! The policies and development works of a nation can only be carried out by the youth. As said earlier, they are the social actors of change and progress. They carry out the policies and do all the development works which older people are incapable of actually carrying out. I remember vividly how we youths used social media for Nigeria’s celebrated revolution, now yell me! what we no fit do, Nigeria production industry lack processing and today we export everything we produce because youth are not equipped enough, Ask china why they became the No 1 economy in the world, its by empowering the youths even without relying much on Crude oil, I hope Mr President reads this. This change Manifesto’s can never be manifested without the youths It must be noted that most of the problems we face are also because of youth. It is true that youth have got energy, skill, hopes, and dreams and along with those the determination and exuberance but they also lack proper and critical thinking. Thus youth which could have been the pioneer of some world-changing act may very well become world-destroying terrorists. Finally , here lies the role of a nation and its government in guiding the youth to the correct way of living and in utilizing their vital energy and desire for the betterment of the nation. For this, proper education system and good political situation is required, moral education is a must for this as well. If youth can be motivated and educated the right way, they surely can spearhead the progress of a nation and make the world a better place to live. To end my epistle sir, We youths still wonder about our non existence in the change agenda we got. We ask what have the president done for the youth in its month of achievement of #changing and loosening chains of evil and corruption, Its a new year, we still remember vision 2020, we want a blueprint Its a 4 years journey that must start today, we must feel the change, The change we all wanted. Shizzi Ft. Wande Coal - Kosowo Super Producer Shizzi makes a statement about the copyrights infringement allegation surrounding Tunde Ednut‘s latest single “Kosowo”. Check out his official statement below… “I have read several accounts of the unfortunate incident regarding the unauthorized appropriation of the intellectual property rights in the sound recording I had made sometime in 2014 by Mr. Tunde Ednut. Contrary to the spin in the media, I never at any point engaged in any studio session with Mr. Tunde Ednut regarding the sound recording. The original sound recording was indeed created by me with Wande Coal providing freestyle vocals on it and I have attached a link of the original version in this release. Kindly note that further to painstaking inquiries, I have discovered that Masterkraft was not in anyway complicit in the alleged theft of the IP rights as Mr. Tunde Ednut with malicious intent omitted to mention to Masterkraft my ownership rights in the recording. I have no intention to engage in a public trade of words with Mr. Tunde Ednut, which is why I had instructed my lawyers to take the appropriate actions. As a kid I use to think bribing someone with bag of money is something that happens only as trick in a screenplay: a hoax or imagination. Behold I grew up to the reality of cash being taken in fly cases in vans and paid as bribe. This avenue of wealth and prosperity is in fact feeding a frenzy of corrupt people that are quickly causing the decay in our societal morals and ethics. Nowadays, our national honour are for auction. Our student union bodies gives honour to drug addict, they behave like illiterates, We can no longer take pride in our abysmal Super power index of corruption in the world. Bribing is now considered an investment by many who seek government jobs. This investment, they assume, gives them a moral right to expect a return through more corruption. The public “servants” who dole it out seek greater investment. The honest and the financially weak often exit the government sector, only to reinforce this belief. The bureaucratic hierarchy itself is established based on the extent to which one can engage in corrupt practices, rather than on merit and honesty. The honest few with the determination to fight the system are either transferred to inconsequential roles or remain dejected and angry. The unabated corruption strengthens the power of public servants which is truly dwindling hope. For citizens and businesses, it is faster and more efficient to engage in immoral and illegal activities in their interactions with government. Those who can, or are willing to, engage in such activities are likely to have fewer headaches and greater rewards. Some activist argues that bribing as a means to achieve ends in an environment of pervasive corruption and archaic policies actually helps growth. But the system penalises honesty and weaken the citizens by means of bureaucratic delaying tactics. The Nigerian Judiciary is certainly not left out of corruption it had been a succesful source of dwindling hope it has turned to where justice, conscience and truth are sold out to the highest bidder. The irony here is that government “servants” who are supposed to facilitate economic growth in the NNPC,and corrupt free system in the Judiciary act like “masters” of Trade. It is unfair to blame all the problems on the government. A not-too-trivial fraction of private citizens and business owners are equally responsible for the situation, and private sector corruption could be dwarfing government-led corruption, we may never know. Private entities transact on an allcash basis in order to avoid paying taxes. Some business owners exploit labour without paying fair wages or subjecting them to pollutants and harsh working conditions. They inflate invoices for government subsidies or contracts. Some businesses receive thousands of acres of prime land at a fraction of the market value. A few businesses illegally tap into the electricity grid or tamper with electrical meters. A significant fraction of residential buildings do not conform to planning regulations. Businesses are set up without permits. Innocent farmers are exploited and stripped of their farmland hampering farm produce at a rates that are much below the market with the help of the the government. The private sector flouts rules and regulations, corruption becomes free to air. To prevent the exploitation by the corruption system the law makers and the law- enforcer who are also part of the corrupt system introduces greater regulations, inspections, and restrictions, without recognising that adding so-called “oversight” leads to even greater potential for corruption. In most countries “it is very nearly as difficult to stay legal as it is to become legal.”Therefore, regulations are a double-edge sword. On the contrary, pursuing the perpetrators of corruption has been a comical exercise. Here in Nigeria, less than 10 per cent of the government officials caught red-handed accepting bribes has been prosecuted. Even the laws are changed to make it harder to prosecute the culprits, The culprits now runs to a protection house called the senate for immunity against arrest and trial, I thank God Nigerians now believes there is a need to think differently to put a lid on corruption and hopefully push it down incrementally, The nation had stood up to ensure a dwindling hopes in corruption. It is no longer business as Usual, the government is fighting corruption to a stand still. by Michael Adeniyi @9jaclicktivist |
If not for God there would be no change, if not for change our nation would still be locked down with the chain of the cabals, if not for change our pot belly General would have send most of our brave soldiers into early grave; they share money meant for weapon and sentence soldiers to firing squad for mutiny. Oh yeah! if not for change 16 would still be greater than 19, If not for change Dasuki would have started sharing our states to his friends whenever he finish sharing our money and resources, If not for change Jonathan aides would have caused him hypertension, If not for change our hope would have been on nothing less than fallen crude oil, thank God change brought hope to Agriculture’ reviving our first love, even God know we would have fallen flat as the crude oil fell like the wall of Jericho, If not for change our election would have been a rigging galore, thank God order from above and federal might have been extincted, its no more in vogue! If not for change our zeros would still live as our heroes, If not for change Diezani would have treated cancer with 50% of our oil money, she would have bought all the doctors in Europe, no joy, just reminiscing. If not for change custom would still remit N200bn yearly compared to N903bn generated in just 7 months of Change, If not for change Boko haram would have been stronger than Al-quaeda and taken Nigeria captive birthing Islamic Boko country, If not for change our mineral resources would be buried underneath the soil till thy kingdom come, i learnt Ilesha has Gold, Ewekoro shit cements (*limestone) ,Enugu got coal e.t.c. Now what if there was no change? If not for the TSA Dasuki new office holder would just order the AGF, CBN for money illegally again? lets think Nigeria, This Change Government had right many wrongs already. Haba, Abba Morro is fast forgotten: the man who murdered many Nigerians through a fraudulent RECRUITMENT exercise last year could just walk away free, nobody is raising an eyebrow, Nigerians had been duped over the years by fake Job recruitment agencies, either public or private, this agency claims to provide Job by extorting N1000 from each applicants and end up not selecting a person, many entrepreneur have found this as a way of getting capitals to start up business for themselves, imagine N1000 x 200 applicants= 200k. Corruption has we claimed in control today started from various offices in this form, please whats your take on this? |
The Commissioner for Investment and Promotion in the Interim Governor Udom Emmanuel’s Government, Barr Emmanuel Enoidem as a guest on Planet FM Radio, Uyo Live Interview Programme today Monday 11th 2016 dares President Muhammadu Buhari, saying the Government of Udom Emmanuel does not have any faith in Buhari’s Government to deliver dividend of democracy to Nigerians or even to Akwa Ibom people. He angrily exploded, “We don’t believe in the Federal Government because they don’t believe in us” This is one of Akpabio’s men appointed by Akpabio into Udom’s Government whose sole reason for the appointment is because of his ability to groom cultists and deploy them during elections to maim and harass innocent voters in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District. Enoidem is currently having a gun running case with the Nigeria Police. He was arrested with arms in Port Harcourt during Jonathan’s era and Akpabio helped truncate the case from seeing the light of day. Men like this shouldn’t be allowed to walk free and be talking nonsense against a performing president whose anti-corruption fight and economic blueprint is gradually restoring hope to Nigerians. I urge the President to cause the Inspector General of Police to re-open investigation into the alleged gun running case and Barr. Enoidem brought to book. http://george-udom.com/?p=801

Progress at the OPEC 168th annual meeting screeched to a halt amid escalating chaos as member countries – Venezuela, Libya, Iran, and Nigeria – openly battle with Saudi Arabia over the cartel’s future. Details are still coming in, but here’s what we know so far: Oil prices have just hit a 7-year low, sliding below $36 per barrel for the first time since the 2009 global financial crisis… And the expert named Wall Street’s #1 commodity trader predicts we could see the fall continue to $10 per barrel. Although OPEC blames an existing supply glut, a United States intelligence insider believes the real reason has been hidden until now… In fact, a shocking discovery has unlocked a massive supply of free fuel. Enough fuel to power the entire globe for 36,000 years. This fuel is so cheap, so abundant, and so easy to access, that Fortune 500 companies – including Google, Apple, and Facebook – are spending billions to get on board… At the same time, every major energy player on the planet is turning their back on oil in favor of this fuel. Make no mistake: This is the beginning of the end for Big Oil, OPEC, and even the Saudi Royals. Untitled stunning breakthrough in chemical engineering has unleashed a massive supply of fuel… Enough fuel, in fact, to power the entire globe for over 36,000 years. It’s poised to decimate Big Oil’s obscene profits, make OPEC obsolete, and hand the United States 100% energy independence. In fact, the U.S. Department of Defense just invested $7 billion in a single day… Apple, Google, and Facebook are spending billions racing to implement this technology. And billionaires like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett are going all in. The International Energy Agency predicts $48 trillion could soon flow into this sector, making it the #1 source of energy on the planet. The incredible thing is, it all starts with a tiny grain of sand… Turning Sand into fuel – Silicon oil as an energy carrier Similar to hydrocarbons, silanes are hydrosilicons, molecules that incorporate atoms of both silicon and hydrogen. http://tapread.net/2016/01/10/revealed-prepare-for-end-of-crude-oil-price-to-fall/

As part of Barack Obama’s bid to shut down the national disgrace that is Guantanamo Bay, the USA was “relocating” some of the inmates. Well guess which country had put their hands up and said “we’ll take 2 please”: Not Iran or Syria. Not North Korea, not even Afghanistan. No, the kind, neighbourly country that agreed to take two terror suspects who were both recruited and trained in the same camp that trained 2 of the 9/11 hijackers – is Ghana. The two Taliban Terror suspects arrived yesterday, and are probably enjoying their first Hausa Koko breakfast as we speak. Kojo Yankson said, why did our government agree to house and detain within its borders, two Arab militants who have been locked up illegally and tortured by their enemies for up to 12 years? To prove that we are their allies? So we are proving we are allies of the USA by opening our doors to highly trained, heavily tortured terror suspects who are sworn enemies of America AND ALL HER ALLIES? Now, let’s not forget that Obama had wanted to bring the Guantanamo detainees back into the USA, but his own congress has voted against it, saying, among other things, that they were too dangerous. So it’s basically like your neighbour knocking on your door and saying to you: “Hey, Buddy! I know I’m not supposed to, but I went out and trapped two really large cobras. Now you know how scared I am of these snakes. In fact, my wife won’t let me bring them into our white house next door. So please, do me a favour and keep them in your little flagstaff cottage for me, ok? And don’t worry, I’ll pay for their bed and breakfast, so tell your madam not to worry at all.” I wonder what you would say to such a neighbour. I can tell you what the Government of Ghana said on your behalf: “Oh sure. No problem. You know we spoke against your illegal snake grabbing operations some years back, but since you’re going to pay for their food and lodging, of course we’ll take them in and use our home as a halfway house for your illegally grabbed snakes. Now, let’s take a selfie while you hand those deadly carnivorous reptiles over. Do cobras eat Hausa Koko?” As things stand, the two Guantanamo alumni are already in the country, so we can’t really reverse this agreement, but we still need to know what is going on. Where are they going to live and work? What if they decide to leave before the 2 years are up? Will we have to restrain them? Lock them up? Shoot them? What if they escape? Osama Bin Laden’s former cook was once relocated from GITMO to another country, and he fled – re-joined Al Qaeda. What if our two golden boys choose to do the same? Plenty questions, no answers. That’s how the first week has ended in 2016. |
It is noticeable, very obvious at all times that sincere friends of freedom have been rare in every nation [liberty's] progress has been beset by its natural enemies: by ignorance and superstition, by lust of conquest and by love of ease, by the might of the strong men craving for power, and the poor man's craving to put food on its table. At the mention of freedom I mean the factuality that every man shall be protected in doing what he believes is his duty, against the influence of authority and majorities, custom and opinion. Freedom is the prevention of control by others. This requires self-control and freedom alone demands a lot for its realization, the limitation of the public authority, for freedom is the only object which benefits all alike, and provokes no sincere opposition. Freedom and good government do not exclude each other; and there are excellent reasons why they should go together. Freedom is not a means to a higher political end. It is itself the highest political end. It is not for the sake of a good public administration that it is required, but for the security in the pursuit of the highest objects of civil society, and of private life. Freedom is not the power of doing what we like, but the right of being able to do what we ought. Freedom enables us to do our duty unhindered by the state, by society, by ignorance and error. We are free in proportion as we are safe from these impediments tho obscure ethics imply imperfect liberty. For liberty comes not with any ethical system, but with a very developed one. Alas, sanctifying freedom teaching men to treasure the liberties of others as their own, and to defend them for the love of justice and charity more than as a claim of right, has been the soul of what is great and good in the progress of the last two hundred years for by birth all men are free, Even conscience imperatively demands a corresponding measure of personal liberty and with this no human authority can be permitted to interfere. We are bound to extend to the utmost, and to guard from every encroachment, the sphere in which we can act in obedience to the sole voice of conscience, regardless of any other consideration. The interest of individuals is above the exclusive interest of the state. The power of the whole is not to be set in the balance for a moment with freedom, that is, the conscience of the subject-and those who act on other principle are the worst of criminals. It is easier to find people fit to govern themselves than people to govern others. Every man is the best, the most responsible, judge of his own advantage. Now in Nigeria, the great question is to discover, not what governments prescribe, but what they ought to prescribe; for no prescription is valid against the conscience of mankind. The finest opportunity ever given to the world was thrown away because the passion of equality made vain the hope for freedom. The danger is not that a particular class is unfit to govern. Every class is unfit to govern. Whenever a single definite object is made the supreme end of the State, be it the advantage of a class, the safety of the power of the country, the greatest happiness of the greatest number, or the support of any speculative idea, the State becomes for the time inevitably absolute. Laws are made for the public good but the public good is not to be considered, if it is purchased at the expense of an individual. The will of the people cannot make just that which is unjust. There are many things the government can't do, many good purposes it must renounce. It must leave them to the enterprise of others. It cannot feed the people. It cannot enrich the people. It cannot teach the people. Popular power may be tainted with the same poison as personal power. The one pervading evil of democracy is the tyranny of the majority, or rather if that party, not always the majority, that succeeds, by force or fraud, in carrying elections. It is bad to be oppressed by a minority, but it is worse to be oppressed by a majority. The most certain test by which we judge whether a country is really free is the amount of security enjoyed by minorities. Among all the causes which degrade and demoralize men, power is the most constant and the most active. Those who have more power are liable to sin more; no theorem in geometry is more certain than this, Yes the possession of unlimited power corrodes the conscience, hardens the heart, and confounds the understanding. There is no error so monstrous that it fails to find defenders. There are principles which override precedents and there is such a thing as a higher law. In Nigeria today all legislation must conform [under a law of nature] by the voice of universal reason and a principle embracing all mankind. A generous spirit prefers that his country should be peaceful, and corrupt free rather than powerful, prosperous, and enslaved. |
Did you notice that ALL of those who have been named as having shared in the blood money by Dasuki are Muslims, Christians and even atheists? Do you realise that ALL of them are Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Ijaw, Fulani and all of the hundreds of ethnic nationalities making up Nigeria? Have you asked yourself why you didn't hear any shout of marginalization or oppression when the money was being shared by Mr Donatus Dasuki? Let me break it down for you. In that secret place where they make a feast of our commonwealth, nobody is Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Ijaw or worefa. There's no Christian, Muslim or traditionalist when illicit money is to be preyed upon. No tribe or religion, they belong to one family: the political class and their interests transcends tribe, ethnicity or religion. Money is their paradise and their belly is the only god they worship. So, next time any of these idiots come screaming that your tribe is being marginalized or that someone is trying to wipe out your religion, tell him to kiss your fat black a*s and enjoy his journey to hell. If you agree with him and allow them to turn your destiny to a Ludo game, then Sorry is your middle name and you suffer from a terminal disease called 'Congenital Stupidity'. It has no cure and the symptoms don't show very early. Once you're afflicted with CS, the end result is to die in ignorance while defending the idiots who turned you into a whimpering dodo. Accept my sympathy. HEAR JONATHAN AND HIS 40 THIEVES 1- I acted based on Jonathan instruction- Dasuki 2- I didn't give order- Jonathan 3- I collected 350M from Dasuki for consultation-Iyorchia Ayu 4- I only collected $30,000 from Dasuki not N100m- Bode George 5-I got N4.6b from Dasuki for spiritual purposes- Bafarawa 6-I got N650M from Dasuki for my Abuja burnt office-Thisday Obaigbena. 7-I got N2.1b from Dasuki for publicity-Dokpesi 8- I got another N100m from Yuguda he didn't tell me from where- Bafarawa 9- I gave N100m each to Odili, Jim Nwobodo Bode George and others- Yuguda 10- The president asked me to change N10B to foreign currency for PDP delegates- Dasuki 11-My boss asked me to get $11M from the CBN- Dasuki account officer. 12-I got order from above to pay Tompolo N13B for Maritime university land.-Nimasa DG. With all these looting and many more some mundane are still shouting no sign of change yet. May all these enemies of Nigeria embrace backwardness. Jonathan and his 40 thieves will never have peace for the rest of their lives. I am proud to be part of Buhari revolution that chased the vampire Jonathan away. Merry Xmas and a Happy new year! Please let us never again allow anyone to use religion or tribe to try and divide us! |

OUR BELOVED PRESIDENT, Its the beginning of a new year, a new dawn and we are happy, Nigerian youths would like to remind you that youths are crucial and essential in any national development, most powerful nations in the world uses the youth in building social cohesion, economic prosperity and political stability in a nation with such an inclusive and democratic leadership, unfortunately here in Nigeria virtually all our successive government gives a damn, they give bairn-like approach to youths development, whereas youths are to be involved in building or developing a nation. Thus, the involvement of youth in national development is a must. In fact, youths plays one of the most important roles in nation building. Youth are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also the partners of today but it is sad we are not partners in building our tomorrow. In the last election young people became social actors of change and progress, they are a crucial segment of a nation’s development, Alas, the government have no road map, no agenda for the youth, its not just about building classroom or sponsoring sporting activities, our jet clubs are not sponsored, inventors dies with their ideas in this country, We are yet to see an inventors and innovators union, Youths problem is not money. I can remember vividly how Addidas is now making money with our Nigerian born youth, a shoe designer, What about internet guru philip emegualli? Its been 9 months and nothing has been done for the youths. Mr Pressident it is also well noted that "No nation had succeeded the way Nigeria has been run in the last quarter century" and it required different values to snatch the promise from the jaws of selfishness and ignorance of a generation that has consumed its share of posterity and prosperity, rubbished the possibilities for their children and, in gluttony, are gabbling up the prospects for their grand children. For Most Youths Life has been an impassioned struggle for liberation of what I always thought of was a history held hostage. The freedom war of change has been waged not with certainty about the best way forward, but with fortitude in providence being kind to honest, and determined effort. We are also quick to understanding that the generation squandering the promise of Nigeria was not necessarily the wicked one, but a generation that had failed to understand the historic mission of its generation and had allowed petty self-interest to let it mortgage today and tomorrow. How do you raise people's consciousness without telling them they are ignorant people? Sir, Since the past 5 years I have challenged from without and engaged from within, but was clear in my mind that whatever I communicated was in the citizens political consciousness. It is not about me but about the burden of a generation, and so I was always awkward about the attention and result struggle brought atimes. I was beginning to feel life's struggle may amount to a waste, but I am too scared to articulate it lest I cause many who have hope because of my proselytism on the Nigeria condition to despair. Poor zeal had to begin to assure me there is much value from my time of being. The complexity of what Nigeria is struggling with is in the fact that within the same generation, that was failed, by one of its own, many still recognize the need to salvage coming generations from the errors of their time but a few of the same generation constituting a cabal, who thinks they define the age, have arrogantly continued to uphold their ways, want to continue in the power arena they arrived at as twenty-something-years old, even as they reach their 70th birthday. 2015 has been great year filled with political events. We'll remember alot of things about the year, this include statements made by some of Nigeria's most prominent politicians. 1. “Stealing is not corruption” – Goodluck Jonathan 2. “Mr Orubebe, you are a former Minister of the Federal Republic .You are a statesman in your own right. You should be careful about what you say or what allegations or accusations you make. Certainly you should be careful about your public conduct” – Attahiru Jega 3. “I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody” – President Muhammadu Buhari. 4. “May our Loyalties never be tested” – Fashola 5. “I have never collected bribe in my life” – Rotimi Amaechi |
1. It was not badly organised. 2. The questions were not so tailored unlike what was obtainable in the previous administration. 3. President Buhari could not answer certain questions appropriately, his scope is limited to certain sectors (that's expected). 4. Channels TV's Kayode Akintemi was perfect. Premium Times journalist was pungent and almost went too far but brave. 5. Daily Trust journalist was being too careful while 6. Mrs Ngozi of Media Watch was asking, elaborating and answering her own questions simultaneously, thereby wasting time. 7. President Buhari easily gets angry, doesn't know how to pretend he isn't pissed and needs anger management tutor. 8. President Buhari is passionate about getting things right. 9. President Buhari is mad at Dasuki & Nnamdi Kanu. 10. President Buhari could be likened to John the Baptist, not the Messiah. |

The Efficiency Unit set up by the current Administration, together with effective implementation will drive a reduction of overheads by at least 7%, personnel costs by 8% and other service wide votes by 19% We must alway be looking at the Long Term of our National budget. If you accept the absence of a big bang, things start falling in place. “This Budget is the first chapter of a series of measures over the next few years, It looks like a step in a longer journey, which is exactly what Budgets should be, rather than an attempt to solve most problems in a single stroke. That is a fundamental shift from the practice of having Budgets as independent events because many of our politicians since Independence believed that strong states lead to a weak nation. This Budget and the Economic Survey reinforce the narrative since the last election that the central government will devolve money and power to state governments. This is great for job creation. This Budget also announces the most impactful overhaul of labor laws since Independence a revamp of our employee pension and health insurance regimes. Finally, I would say this is a pragmatic Budget that does not play to the gallery, “A Budget in today’s Nigeria will never be unanimously appreciated or unanimously derided. Nigeria needs to create a million jobs every month, contain inflation, reduce fiscal deficit below 4.1% and be attractive to investors by easing the rules and also being consistent with policy. No Budget can score high on all the outcomes that every stakeholder expects. The challenge for the finance minister is real, and there is no silver bullet.” he must make sure we are not Chained as alledged. Micheal Adeniyi @9jaclicktivist |
