Miss Charity Ochekpo, a 400level university of Abuja sociology student had been sick, but her struggle to live failed her.

She died yesterday on the 27th of may, 2017, after a brief illness which over-powered her fight to live took her life away from her.

14 year Old Housemaid Poisons Her Boss With Rat Poison In Ondo (Photo)

A 14-year-old housemaid, Mary Akinnifesi, has been arrested in Ondo town, Ondo State, for poisoning her 63-year-old boss, Alhaji Nasir Akinlosotu. Mary was living with the family in their home until that day when the man’s wife asked her to prepare beans for them.

When she was through, she decided to put rat poison in the husband’s food, claiming in her confessional statement that he usually beat her when she committed an offence.

The man, who later handed the maid over to the police, said he was eating the food and had swallowed a part when he suddenly realized that the taste was strange. According to him, he later vomited the food and questioned Mary on the strange taste, and she confessed to have added rat poison to the food.

She was said to have taken the action against her master because she was rebuked for messing up the living room with water a night before. Mary who was engaged by the victim’s wife, had stayed with the couple for two years and had never shown such a behaviour until that night. .

Narrating how he escaped death, Akinlosotu described it as an act of God. He explained that he had no inclination that the suspect could go to such an extent as to want to kill him because he rebuked her for being careless by pouring water on the floor in the sitting room. .

Akinlosotu, however, said he would not press charges. “Since God has delivered me from death, why should I fight again? I have left everything to God,” he said. Ondo State Police Command image maker Femi Joseph confirmed that Akinlosotu had applied formally to withdraw the case.

“This is our predicament: Once the complainant says he is not interested in pressing charges, the state is handicapped because the court will dismiss the case when there is no complainant”, he said.

Joseph quoted the victim as saying the reason he lodged the complaint with the police was to expose the devilish activities of housemaids and the need for people to always be vigilant when dealing with them.

Black-Out For Many Kaduna Residents Due To Slow Meter Migration

Many residents in Kaduna state, currently facing no access to power supply, the residents started facing this issue of recharging their electricity meter the moment kaduna state electricity distribution company created a new platform/server, while migrating meters from the old to the new server made many customers unable to recharge their electricity meter.


9jaflaver news man spoke to some of the customers, who complained that the migration process is too slow, as many of them had submitted their meter number for migration to the new server, and for over 2-weeks, to no avail.

Investigations was carried out, and it pointed out that the migration of electricity meters, are done at kaduna electricity company’s head quater, which is located along ahmedu bello way, kaduna state.

The affected customers pleads with the kaduna state government to find a way to speed up the migration process, as many customers are already begining to loose their patience.

UNIABUJA Female Student Raped While Asleep

On the 13th of march, 2017, been tuesday, a university of abuja female student walked into her room (Girls hostel – Mini Campus), only to be shocked with the sight of an unknown man penetrating her room mate who was asleep, immediately, the rapist noticed her presence which alerted him as she screamed out for help, he (the rapist) escaped the lynch of mobs before there arrival.

9jaflaver news team, after investigations, questionnaires, gathered that the victim of rape was no not familiar with the rapist, neither was she aware of the penetration during the action, which qualifies it as rape. The victim’s room mate who caught the rapist on her, during a chat with 9jaflaver said that, she saw the rapist holding a vujuu-like material while penetrating her room mate, which clearly explains the fact that the rapist enchanted his victim.

The victim is currently under medical care, and prayer sessions.
