Around 2:Am, on the 15th of January, 2017. Tragedy stroked some uniabuja female students, as many of there properties were lost to a wide fire, which took down an entire female hostel block (Minicampus).

when 9jaflaver news correspondent visited the scene of the incident, no casualty was recorded, as all occupants of the raised down block escaped from the fire.

So in January about two thousand and something days ago, Koe Becks met this beautiful friend and sister of mine.

The admiration started on facebook, little did Lilian Michael know, he has been watching her and everything she did on facebook without any form of approach. Till he swallowed the courage to do so. At the time she was going through a phase in her life but uncle here came and calm the troubled sea. Its quite rare to find someone like Joebecks, so humble and down to earth. On their very first date, Joebecks did the unusual, he drove to Lilian’s family house and requested to see the mother. The mother was summoned and he went to say “Good day Ma’am. I’mJ oseph and I’m here to ask your permission to take your daughter out” the mother was stunned…. What guts he had. We all know this is very out of the norm in our society today. The mother seeing such dignity and respect he had, gave permission and so that’s where their journey began. When Love comes knocking, it breaks down every door that proves adamant to it. It pays no heed to resisitance! This right here is true love.

Hall Admin Female Hostel Main Campus Harassed For Corruption

The female students of university of Abuja main campus complained bitterly in the hostel on Tuesday the 22nd of November 2016 about how the hall administrative allocating them to their various room allegedly accepted corruption in the process of allocation.

9jaflaver news correspondent present at the female hostel main campus said; “We’ve been on queue for over an hour now and we are not being attended to rather, the hall admin is attending to those coming with their Parents/Guidance and Boyfriends. We also have Parents and boyfriends". "But doing it the right way should be the best.", she continued.

9jaflaver news leant that's some of the students also reported how the Hall admin collected money from some students in order to allocate them as they come and also to their place of choice with wardrobe. This case was reported and some so called concerned comrades came into the female hostel to accuse the hall admin and she shouted at them and left the hostel immediately in the name of being angry and she closed for the day.

The Agricultural Science students also complained how the Veterinary Medicine and Medical students are given preferential treatment because of claims that they are studying a professional course with a busy time table, but the Agricultural Science students stated that; “We are also studying a professional course which will last for five years and our time table is even more tedious than theirs with lots of practical including Saturday fixed for farm practice and we have Animal Science as well in the faculty, so we see no reason why we shouldn’t be treated same too. And we are much more populated than these other departments in talk."

The students hereby urge the management to do something about this complaints so that the Agricultural Science students will also get the treatment they deserve.

Furthermore, they complained about Wi-Fi not in the Faculty of Agriculture premises and there is Wi-Fi connection in other faculties.

In conclusion, the students of the University want things to be done accordingly in the female hostels and all departments should also be given the services and treatment they deserve.

Fellow Nigerians, I subscribe strongly to the view that he who is silent in the face of injustice is in partnership with hell fire.

Comr. Ameh Destiny, a student-leader of the University of Abuja, during the fuel pump price increment saga (from N95 to N145) mobilised willing students to show solidarity with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Abuja city.

Some elements within the University system who have been uncomfortable with his courage and unionism manipulated the Disciplinary Committee to penalise him for exercising his inviolable right to participate in a protest against unfairness in the larger Nigerian society.

The protest was peaceful, the protest was not in the University, the protest had nothing to do with the university, nonetheless the university was desperate to humiliate him, to dampen the morale of other students of University of Abuja in the exercise of their social liberty.

Comr. Ameh Destiny was rusticated by the University despite appeals from ASUU and other sister Unions in the University. The university oppressed him and expelled him against good advice and appeal.

We call on all Nigerians and lovers of freedom to please join in the demand for justice on behalf of Comr. Ameh Destiny.

All alumni of the University of Abuja must rise to add impetus to this protest against the abuse of power in the University. All students and staffs must reject this reckless display of arbitrary power by University of Abuja management.

Injustice to one is injustice to all.

We want justice for AMEH Destiny.

Uniabuja Student Shot Dead By An Alleged Cultist

News reaching 9jaflaver indicates that a student of the University of Abuja "Onyekachi Azubuko" has lost his life to the hands of alleged cultists. The incident occurred off Gado Nasko Way, Kubwa, a satellite town in the Federal Capital Territory.

The 25 year-old victim was shot dead on Tuesday afternoon shortly after stepping out of the house to meet some friends. His corpse was identified by his brother, Joel, before it was taken to the Kubwa General Hospital by the police. It was learnt by "9jaflaver news" that residents of the area were thrown into panic when they heard sporadic gunshots by unknown gunmen, who were believed to be members of a cult group.

Findings indicate that Azubuko, the father of the deceased, was at work when Joel told him about the incident, prompting him to visit the Kubwa General Hospital morgue to see the body of his second son. The bereaved father was reluctant to comment on the incident when our correspondent visited his residence on Thursday.

“The family has nothing to say on the incident, the police are already investigating it and if you need any information, please, go to the Kubwa Divisional Police Station,” he stated.

But prompted further, Azubuko said Onyekachi was planning to go back to school before he was killed, adding that he was trying to raise money for him and his brother, a student of Abia State University. He described the deceased as a brilliant student and a good sportsman, noting that he had warned him against keeping company with men of suspicious character. The father said, “He was a son dear to my heart, a good sportsman and a brilliant student. But I observed that he had been derailing, he has been keeping company with some suspicious characters and I asked him about his friends, but he denied being a member of a cult group.

“We are a strong Christian family and we don’t condone acts of indiscipline. I warned him several times about the company he was keeping.”

Azubuko said the family was already making arrangements for Onyekachi’s funeral.

On that note, I hereby State as follows:


1.That the said post by Obiageli1 at Nairaland is a purported lie and cheep propaganda against the Vice-Chancellor

2. That the current Vice-Chancellor of Abia State University is a Distinguished man of Valor who has brought back sanity and orderliness to the University.

3. That all results brought to the Vice-Chancellor for signing has always and will ever receive Immediate attention.

4. That all unauthorized fees which students were forced to pay during clearance and other academic related activities has been abolished by the current Vice-ChancellorProfessor Uchenna Eleazar Ikonne.

To ensure effective implementation, he gave out his personal phone contact to all student leader ranging from course representative to the apex leadership of the students to enable them report directly any case of molestation, exploitation and extortion by Staffs.

5. How do you expect a man who has dismissed Staffs because of exploitation and other related activities to engage him self in the same act?

6. That Obiageli1, Nairaland & Co should as a matter of urgency, withdraw this false post and warmly apologize to Our Dynamic Vice-Chancellor, Abia State University and Abia State Government for the embarrassment caused them.

Another rape Technique in Town. Ladies pls be careful.

A woman was taken by 5 men, who according to hospital and po lice report was raped by a gang before being dumped at a bus
