Difrent:. Let me make one thing clear, Igbos are not asking for respect—we deserve it, and it's earned through hard work, resilience, and vision, not by pleading for it. Respect isn't something we seek from those who are determined to cling to outdated tribal prejudices. It’s a natural consequence of our achievements and contributions across every region, including yours. You asked which tribe can’t stand alone and survive. But that’s a pointless question. Every tribe has what sustains them, including the Igbos, who not only survive but thrive wherever they go. The fact that we succeed everywhere—from Lagos to London, Onitsha to New York—speaks volumes about our adaptability, entrepreneurial spirit, and drive. Unlike some, we don’t sit around waiting for handouts or power favors; we create opportunities and build wealth, often in environments hostile to our progress. That’s survival—and more than that, it’s success. You claim to know the Igbo people well, but your sweeping generalization that “most Igbo wealth is not clean” exposes your ignorance, not familiarity. Are there corrupt people among the Igbos? Sure, just like in every other tribe in Nigeria. But to suggest that this is unique to the Igbos is laughable. The truth is, many Igbos have built their fortunes through sheer grit, hard work, and a keen business acumen, often from nothing. What others see as “ill-gotten wealth” is, more often than not, the result of sacrifice and risk-taking. And even if you won’t admit it, you know this to be true. Overrating Ourselves? Overrated? Hardly. What you see as "overrating" is simply confidence born from consistent achievement, in business, in the professions, and in building communities. We don't need validation from those who refuse to acknowledge reality. The fact that Igbos are able to succeed in every corner of the world without government patronage or favoritism says a lot more about our abilities than the baseless criticisms you throw around. We don’t need respect from people who are too blinded by envy or bigotry to give it. But for those who understand what it takes to rise against all odds, respect comes naturally. |
Ttalk:Your message reeks of ignorance and ethnic bigotry, so let’s set the record straight. Your claim that Igbos voted for Obi out of tribal loyalty while Yorubas were somehow “nationalistic” is nonsense. 99% of Igbos voted for competence, integrity, and a better future in Peter Obi, while 60% of Yorubas blindly backed Tinubu, a man whose fitness for office is highly questionable. If we’re being honest, it was the Igbo vote that reflected true national interest, voting for a candidate who could actually fix the country, unlike the tribal-driven choice made by many Yorubas. So spare me this gaslighting—you’ve twisted reality to fit your narrow, tribal narrative. Don’t even try to lump the blame for Nigeria’s collapse on “all political elites.” We both know who hijacked power in this country and deliberately sidelined the Igbos. Nigeria rotted when certain regions seized control and excluded the very people who once held key sectors and drove progress. Compare Nigeria when Igbos held the economy, aviation, education, NAFDAC, and even defense—there was competence and real development. Since then, it’s been one long downward spiral. You want to talk about who’s really responsible for Nigeria’s failure? Look at those who’ve hoarded power, not the ones who were pushed out. Your derogatory remarks about Igbo traders show just how small-minded your thinking is. These "small traders" you're trying to insult are closing multimillion-dollar deals globally while you and others who hold onto your superiority complex are stuck in dead-end jobs, feeling good about yourselves. The Igbos have proven that even without fancy degrees or prestigious jobs, they can dominate the global marketplace. Meanwhile, the people who look down on them are busy toiling for scraps. If that’s what you call success, enjoy it. You’re mistaken if you think Igbos move to other regions because they can’t build at home. Igbos go where the business opportunities are, just like the Chinese do globally. It’s called vision and entrepreneurship, not desperation. If anything, it’s the rest of the country that should be asking itself why Igbos keep outperforming in their own regions. They don’t settle for mediocrity like some others do—they go where they can thrive and create wealth. Maybe try learning from them instead of spewing this ignorant nonsense. Your entire argument is built on tribalism and an inflated sense of self-worth. If you can’t rise above this kind of thinking, don’t expect to be taken seriously. The world is moving forward, and your ethnic bigotry is keeping you stuck in the past. |
Difrent:Have you not noticed that the Igbos are not in the Business of caressing egos. Igbos are not pretentious about their feelings. If they are for you, you can close your eyes and take that to the bank. That is the defemination of integrity. The Igbos can afford to do that because they don't care, they can always survive, and there is nothing you can threaten them with, because they have seen it all and still standing. When you see an Igbo man, give him some respect, you are not mates. |
Ttalk:Bros, read you wrote again and tell you your response is not driven by another thing. The OP just as you to tell us how there voting pattern agrees with the narrative that they are bigots, we did not ask you to tell us why you must vote the Igbos. Just because you guys managed to sneak into National politics with the son of the disaster that befall us from 2015, you are now acting like masters of the game. From independence, the Yorubas have been following ethnic myopia in politics, that was why they never played in the centre except when the Igbos where in war with Nigeria. The Igbos have consistently gone for the best in the offer even when their brothers like Ojukwu were in the race. Not look around and tell me the Igbos were wrong in the choices they made. Just the only time we took the back seat, see where Nigeria is. Compare the Nigeria we left you you before the war and the Nigeria you guys produce for us since after the war. Check the Nigeria we participated actively in from 1999 to 2015 and the Nigeria you people have given us from 2015 till day. Hostely, you nhave no shame. |
odoemelamemmanu:May he never happen to our lives again. He laid foundation for the rape of Abia. Thank God, his days and the days of his likes are over in Abia. |
You know what they say, those who destroyed the past, cannot build the future. Behold those who were busy yabbing GEJ, God is teaching them a lesson. If it were to be in the Bible, this is how it would have been captured " for God has forsaken him, he who stole the Septer from the hand of he whom God had anointed. In his time, there was famine, there was anarchy and treachery. Just like Bubu, who left office in shame, who would have died with the borrowed robes of a saint he was dressed on before he came to power, Tinubu too will leave unceremoniously if he refuses to boldly put Nigeria first. Power will have no taste again to him and he himself will know that all is vanity. |
yarimo:See how everyone ignored you. I wanted to do same, but it feels good to say "ntooo" to someone that deserves it |
gidgiddy:Those who destryed the past cannot build the future. |
Even his haters admire him in their private spaces, just that they are not firm enough to tell themselves the truth. History is here, Nigeria will ever remember the man that change the face of politic. The man that activated public consciousness that led to the most vibrant and organic political movement. We can hold mantle, but he owns the mandate. He will continue to enjoy the good will and followership. His opponents will continue to have palpitation whenever his name is mentioned. He is PETER, on that rock a new Nigeria will be built. |
HardBishop:Mark which word of yours. You guys keep acting like experts on Igbo issues, but you know not a thing about the Igbo. Let me school you, what the Igbos are doing to Nigeria now is "ntoooo!!!" Igbos have always clearly worked against disasters in Politics because they are not swayed by petty ethnic sentiments, but Nigerians will not listen. At the end, it will turn out as they feared. In all these, while the situation affects everyone, but if people will go down for it, the Igbos will be the last man standing, because their economy is majorly built on remittance from abroad. The North had their demi-god Buhari, but they ended up worse than they were, the Yorubas have their Tinubu, and trust me, they will confess at the end. The Igbo will continue to taunt the others because they thought they were cheating the Igbos. Why should an Igbo man protest. We made our protest during the election, we made peace with our fate. It is now left for Nigerians that were thinking their they will feed on ethnic politics to cry. Na here we dey, by 2027, we will still try, and as usual, we will make our stance known, it will be left for Nigerian to either reason or allow their Igbophobia to finish them, at the end, Igbo man will still be buying news cars and houses under the bad economy that will reign. |
So, you kept this information all these years till today abi. I think you are the one trying to mess with people's heads. |
Reality3080:Anyone that believes his own lies is an slowpoke. Who got 8 million votes? |
I will rather ask, how do you feel about the picture. You cannot fault OBJ for dealing with thiefing politians. He did not mind that Tinubu was from SW to check him. You cannot accused him of fighting petty fight. If he went after anybody, that person had a case to answer. Yes after, the criminals have converged again, you did not express concern, what you are more concerned is what OBJ will feel about it. Who do you this is vulnerable, you or OBJ |
Funny thing, when Biden reads the Chimamanda letter, he will recognize the author, for that of Keyamo and the other guys that writes for Tinubu, he will use Google to know who they are. Trust me, the kind of thing google will bring our for Biden to read about them will make him throw their letters into the bin. You think outside their, power and recognition is by how much money you have stolen or your position in the criminal political enterprise in Nigeria. Let him prepare for the legal battle facing him and leave matter alone. The unfortunate thing about the APC guys is that they are not smart. They make the very wrong guys their spokes persons, and how do they expect Nigerians to take them seriously. Some years ago, Keyamo was fighting Tinubu dirty. He went full blown on the Tinubu identity crises and drug history. Here today, he is singing Hossanna for him. Wow, even hungry men can do better in keeping their honor. Keyamo has no honour, shame and moral standing to speak. He thinks we are buying his old trick of pretending to be an activist, he only rose to prominence with that, today his true colour is out. and he is not even hiding it. For a man the pretended for too long to be human right activist and almost gave the impression of being a moralist, he lost his control so easily, we wonder, maybe he wasn't deficient only in morality but also in intelligence. |
Peacemaker5128:What this election has done is not only to tell Nigerians that the power is in their hands, it has also made us understand the people who have played the politics of instigation over the years. I have never seen or heard that they Igbos have ever been intimated to vote against their preferred candidates anywhere in the North or any other part of the country. But some yourubas, particularly the Tinubu breed, have done worse than anything the Igbos have faced politically anywhere. They are the ones who create the narrative that the Igbos are in conflict with everyone, especially the North, but in reality, the Igbo and the North have always moved on well, even with the suspicions as a result of the ugly history. Let me break your heart, Obidient Movement is not an Igbo movement. The more you try to paint it that way, the more the Obidients from other part of the country see you for who you are. Go on, you will keep finding the wind. |
akingangan:You guys still think this is pre election intrigues and campaigns. This is not the Lagos election that Tinubu did not have a legal "killer squad" to face him. This time around, there is no shying away from that debate, it will be exhausted. Reserve your defense for the tribunal and the Court. Some of you that cannot pass Jamb for law degree are here bashing the strategy of some of the finest legal minds in Nigeria with years of experience in Election tribunal and wins to their credit. Continues, just know that your debate here is purely vendor-stand argument that will have not effect on the tribunal. |
naptu2:Ever time Obi says something, you jump out from your face-me I face you to tell us "fact check". Who sent you message, who are you to tell me what is fact, under what authority are you speaking. Will you just get out and get a life. Your mates are making it in life and are living above the 39k you are paid to stop using your brain. |
helinues:If you had head on your shoulders, you would have praised the Igbos for who they are. Igbos are the only tribe that are bold and independent minded. Even if you are their brother, they will put you into the dustbin if you try to show yourself. One wonders how a people who claim to be educated and "sophisticated" will have the guts to campaign for a man like Tinubu, and They have no shame that their champion could not even rig election intelligently. Let be tell you, if Tinubu were to be from the South East, we would have retired him since 2011. We had men like Arthor Nzeribe who were large money bags and big time mafian when Tinubu was still co-habiting, but they could not even hold sway in the east. The Igbos are a different bread. We are all kings and if you show yourself, we put you in the cooler. Respect that. |
KanwuliaExtra:Sure, we have to make them taste our bile |
lordm:"I will not vote again" "I will DESTROY my PVC" Sorry, you're only playing the game these demons want you to play. You think they did not feel our heat on Saturday? Do you know how many Political careers where retired by the Obidient movement on Saturday? For the first time, we saw seating Governor's losing their Senatorial bids. Who would ever believe that Tony Nwoye would defeat Stella Oduah or that Uchenna Okonkwo of Ojoto will defeat Ike Cubana and Ifeanyi Ibezi in any Election. Would you had believed that Hon. Lynda Ikpeazu would lose to any human in any Election? If anyone had told me that Chinedu Obidigwe will lose in Anambra East and West, I would have staked everything I have to bet against it. Should I talk of Ayade of Cross-River or the Chairman of TINUBU's campaign team losing his Senatorial ambition? These were our achievements on Saturday. Imagine TINUBU losing Lagos State. You think we didn't send a message? Put a call through to Lagos and hear how APC is afraid of next Saturday. They now know that the people own the state not the godfathers. Political Revolution doesn't take place in a single Election. Go and study history. It is a gradual but sustained fight. You think the demons who benefit from they old order will just give up without such final fight like they did through the INEC? Imagine Governor Ugwuanyi of Enugu State who lost his Senatorial ambition to the Obidient movement on Saturday successfully install the next Governor of Enugu State because you chickened out. He will become the Political godfather of Enugu State and get himself into the Senate in 2027 because you refused to vote. Imagine Chimaraoke Nnamani winning next Saturday. That will be disastrous. You just dashed TINUBU one Senator in Alaigbo. Imagine Okezie Ikpeazu successfully installing the next Governor of Abia State... Or Okowa's candidate becoming the next Governor of Delta. Imagine Sanwolu winning in Lagos. That means the Obidient victory in Lagos last Saturday was a waste. Imagine Soludo having his way by installing the 30members of ASHA because you felt bad over TINUBU. I can't just imagine Hope Uzodinma installing all the members of the Imo State House of Assembly. All politics is local. Go back to sleep and allow them results their dead careers on the 11th by installing their stooges as Governors and Members of Houses of Assembly in the States. As we come out to vote this Saturday we are sending another strong message that power belong to the people!! Get up on Saturday dust your PVC once again and come out in mass and vote 🗳️ we will all prevail The journey of a New Nigeria 🇳🇬 is a Marathon Obi-dent All The Way |
Breaking News: African Union Rejects Tinubu as president-elect Pulls embassy out from Nigeria, bans exportation of goods from Nigeria The African Union, consisting of 55 member states located on the continent of Africa that had its Headquarters: in “Addis Ababa, Ethiopia”, has rejected the result that declared Tinubu as president-elect, calling it fraudulent and the worst election in the history of Africa. They also warned President Buhari to cancel such elections and allow Nigerians to decide who they prefer. They made it clear to President Buhari that the people's choices were vividly seen, if Nigeria can fail in the election, that means Africa has failed the said Details here 👇 https://igbotimesmagazine.online/2023/03/01/breaking-news-african-union-rejects-tinubu-as-president-elect-pulls-embassy-out-from-nigeria-bans-exportation-of-goods-from-nigeria/ |
Dear Nigerians, Prof. Mahmood Yakub, the INEC Chairman is a public servant and answerable to us. Here are his contacts: 08034523946, 0805 1474343. Bombard him with evidences. Tell him your mind through text messages. Let his conscience judge him. Stop complaining here on social media , let's disturb his line. |
Character should be able to unite us together and not divide us. Where it's lacking then a motive far more destructive was intended. There is a famous saying that injury to one is injury to all. Victory is sweet and the euphoria is satisfying but, do not wish others what you cannot wish yourself. The City Boy/The Jagaban/BAT has won. Congratulations to his emergence. The electoral process that brought him will destroy the remaining trust many Nigerians have in the electoral system. It remains to tell what await millions of us from this day. Whether good or bad, everyone will feel it same way. This mentality of the beneficiary of this illegality calling for a Unity government speaks volume and anyone supporting it is in no way different from the Cankerworms and the Caterpillars that has eaten the fabrics of Nigeria. We were expecting a new Nigeria where every vote cast will count. If the BVAS had functioned optimally as promised and BAT won the election, I am not sure anyone in their right senses would be sad. Why should anyone openly endorse a rigged election? What is your value? I thought the best of us are mostly the ones that needs this change and wants the right thing to be done. One thing I can tell us is that our voices have been heard through the ballot boxes. The only advantage they have is that structure of corrupt practices. Impunity has been enthroned. The hope for a better Nigeria is yet again truncated. The truth is that, there is a better awareness now than ever and if we remain consistent, Nigeria will one day be taken back from those who have taking us many steps backward. I am also a City boy. Yes I grew up in Lagos. I am a beneficiary of BAT. He paid my WAEC fees in 2002. I know little about him. Tinubu does not usually make mistakes. Very rarely; citing the case with Ambode "in his view". The truth is, PDP destroyed today for not laying a transparent electoral practices for which the parties are now in the struggle of who does the rigging better. If Obasanjo had thought about today, we would have gotten it better last Saturday the 25th of February 2023 which leaves me with the popular adage that says "He that lives in a glass house does not throw stone" APC on the other hand today is not interested in talking about BVAS not transferring results from Polling Units straight to INEC portal just because it benefits them today. The implication is, this cycle will continue inasmuch it is to the advantage of the party's except there is a genuine will to get the electoral processes correctly which I am in doubt can be seen with this type of leaders we have today. Now, self interest spoilt it for the PDP. The original plan was to zone the ticket to the southeast but Wike truncated that plan and asked that the primaries be made open. If the PDP had done their political calculations very well, maybe Peter Obi would have been cruising with the massive support/figures he has gotten in this election so far. Tinubu always does the unthinkable. Haven known the blunder made by the PDP, he chose the Muslim-Muslim ticket which in all sincerity does not speak well for a religious nation like Nigeria. We are left to know what he will do going further (don't underestimate Tinubu) Now, the rigging is very obvious and the reasons BVAS were bypassed. The truth is, this ruling party cannot be separated from INEC. The INEC chairman knows everything that has transpired and in the know of the reasons BVAS were not used. The delays which were blamed on hitches was a deliberate attempt to allow the corrupt practices to produce all the fabricated results into INEC portal after which a winner would be declared and disgruntled party(s) goes to court of appeal. The same system would accept technicalities over evidence(s)/reasoning. This will remain, many of us will forget and then return to the pool again after 4 years. By then, Tinubu would have made the FCT a dynasty where he would rain for God-knows how long🤷🏽♂️ Another thing that could happen is the judiciary delivering justice when this matter goes to court but it remains to be seen if justice can be served with what is operational in Nigeria. Again, the NNPP is a spoiler in this show. Don't be surprised to know that the NNPP may have been sponsored to create this in-balance. The Labour Party was seeking to merge but they refused. In my opinion: There are gross violations of the electoral processes. The INEC Chairman noted that the Commission was prepared and results would be transmitted in real-time from polling units. These promises were compromised. |

SAD NEWS: I will tell God INEC killed me, Young Boy from Plateau state commit suicide and dies after Obi lost a rigged election. The 19 years old boy left a short note behind which reads “ no hope for Nigeria for the next 20 years after Obi lost the election, I rather end it now than to live in a hell called Nigeria” The small boy was part of the people that protested in the sun and rain to market Obi, but got disappointed by INEC that rigged the Election in the favor of Tinubu. |
One thing that happens over the years is that after the Presidential elections, People get demoralised and the useless politicians get elected back in the States as Governors and into Houses of Assembly. That is one wrong thing about holding the Presidential elections first. This time, we have been robbed and injured, we have been dragged, we have been laughed at, we have been challenged to do our worst. They are counting on the usual pattern, that is, people will swear not to vote again, but no. We will give them red nose. We have a pound of flesh to cut, we must descend on those States that played dirty game with us, and then the power blocks that are proving stubborn. We must make sure their candidates bow to LP candidates and the Houses of Assemblies have full Coloration of Labour Party. Remember, this will help boost Obi’s struggle to reclaim is mandate. Me must make sure LP flags flies in the following States 1. Rivers State 2. Akwa Ibom State 3. Benue State 4. Lagos State 5. Imo State 6. Delta State 7. Kaduna State 8. Bayelsa State 9. Ebonyi State Comrades!!! The battle is not over, rather the battle field is changed. Let us go there and get those corrupt establishments to their knees. Remembers, we were only challenged, not beaten. Let’s take revenge NOW!!! |

Lipscomb:Is this account still active? |
ejimatic:Really? so it is not about who should win. So, It is about who the Hausas want or will accept. You are either a kid or intellectually deficient. Hear me now, we have passed that old narrative of Hausas or the North holding the key or deciding who will be president. those days they used to tell you about "one North" is over. The other identities in the North are rising to own their destinies with allies. So, start praising God because you will be alive to witness the demystification of that identity. Today, the Nigerian people from across the divides, who have evolved out of the archaic mentality, will make history and prove you and your likes wrong. Obi is coming, get used to it. |
YorubaNiBaba:Continue, in a matter of hours, it will be clear to you that "Obimumu" will run your destiny for the nest 8 years. |
