Resurrection212:Stop disgracing yourself. If in this era of free information, you cannot find out where Ikoku is from, you shouldn't be here arguing with people who should be your teacher. Go and read your GCE textbooks and face your exam. |
naijapips04:You call me ignoramus and you cannot figure out all Obi said about how he will grow the economy. Obi has not been singing your useless IGR song because he knows there are things you have to focus on, and the IGR thing will on its own jump up without talking about it. So, you think Lagos model of squeezing money out of citizen from all angles is the best practice. It is mere wickedness in Governance. Tell me, Lagos will all her IGR, how come they cannot record the kind of achievement Akwa Ibom has recorded in the last 15 years. How come the present Lagos State Governor has now equaled (let alone exceeding) the achievements of David Umahi in a poor State like Ebonyi. You people are very unintelligent, that's why they have continually deceived you with the fallacy of IGR. |
naijapips04:Don't you feel lonely in that left side you have aligned. You make one unintelligent Statement; you have ten responses challenging yours and you still bitterly want to continue exposing your ignorance? I don't know who told you yopu that the ultimate measure of good governance is growth of IGR. Increased IGR is only a means not an end. The ultimate end is that which Obi provided: Good education, consistent payment of wages, good infrastructure, increased investment, good healthcare. Of what use is IGR if you cannot provide the dividend of democracy. You sound like a father that will grow his money in the bank while his family is going hungry and tattered. By the way, Do you know Anambra is the first and only State with State investment/ownership of Oil Refinery? The problem is that many of you guys never listened to news nor read newspapers back then. You didn't follow what was happening across the country, some of you just started hearing about Obi just yesterday. So, blame your ignorance if you are not aware of Obi's achievements. |
You see, in an attempt to paint Obi black, you justify why no one should give APC one vote. So, who is supposed to give Agulu people light, is it Obi? That they don't have light in this age and time, does that not say it all, that we should erase anything APC fr the ballot and from our minds. Some bums were saying that Obi,'s investment for Anambra State worths less than what it was at invest, who do you blame. APC government strangled our economy to the point that investments made in Naira back then are struggling today, and you have the guts to blame Obi. Even the devil has rejected APC, the only purpose it will serve now is that God wants to use the party to punish the people that brought that calamity to us. They will waste all their money in this election and end with heart attack. |
DaddyFreeze2020:You are not fair to Tinubu. How did you Omit the fact that it was him who named Eko "Lagos". Before him, it was called Eko. Also, he sent Fashola to school and helped him become SAN. That was how he molded him to be a good Lagos. Even Ambode, he was in Commercial School before he picked him, sent him to university. sat him down and made him understand how to rule and then made him Governor. Even Osibanjo, who was a choir boy, we picked him, sent him to law school, helped him to become SAN, Infact, if not for Tinubu, he would have been a dullard. He then made him Commissioner. By the way, it was Tinubu that opened the Lagos gate and allowed Igbos to come to Lagos. Before him , Lagos gate was locked and Igbo were chasing lizard in Aba. Out of mercy for them, he helped them set up Alaba international Market, Odun ade market, Ladipo and ASPANDA. Please, try and be fair in giving him the credit. Yeye!!! |
Whom the gods want to kill, they first make him mad. Tinubu was very insensitive in the choice he made in a time that Christians, particularly up North, feel so wounded and endangered. He will receive the bashing made for the Northern Christian oppressors. People should know that APC wining has huge implications beyond Tinubu or competence. Even if Tinubu will turn Nigeria around, it less important than the survival of a group that already think that they on the verge of extinction. It will not work!!!! |
FakeIgboJew:Ok, I have exhausted my patience with you. Apparently, you are the type that has this face-me-I face you wiring, ever ready for conflict. Believe what ever you like, it's your choice and you can as well drown in your ignorance. |
FakeIgboJew:Well, you can believe what you want. Infact, I am not surprised, like I said earlier, the narrative and literature about Osu that shaped the thinking of many people about Osu were those written by people who were out to destroy indigenous spiritualities. The same people who wrote the story of River Niger and taught it to people that have fished on the River decades before their arrival. But there is a point where common sense, for those that have it, will intervene. Ok, if you think individual were made Osu as punishment, and so they were banished. What then do you say about communities that become Osu communities. Did they banish themselves. Secondly, in Igbo spirituality, how possible do you think a people with submit a criminal or someone with guilt to serve in the Court of their sacred being. Just go and study how serious issue of purity and uprightness was in thing of spirituality among the Igbos. Truth is that the true story of Osu was never told because the West dominated the intellectual space and shaped the narrative to suit their mission. You are right to say that the Osu were the first converts of the missionaries. Yes, because they made them see it as a bondage as they could not do some things in the communities with every other person. Indeed, Achebe may have written in his novel that they were hated, it didn't mean they were criminals. Afterall, today, many people hate some pastors and some priest. it may be reported in 100 years time that Pastors and priest were hated, will that mean that they are criminals. look at the context well. Some narrative had it that a generation of Osu people used the "sacred cow" advantage to maltreat people. Eg, they can delibrately claim you offended them or injured them to make you commit to a sacrifice. Try and study deeper, you will be glad you did. |
FakeIgboJew:Ok, I just deleted what I had typed to respond to your statement above. But on a second thought, I felt like helping you understand and improve your self. In Osu system, a community can on their own dedicate themselves to a deity as Osu community. This was done on a voluntary ground and therefore was not a punishment. Secondly, do you know the reason why people were scared of interacting with the Osu. If by mistake you make an Osu shed even a tiny drop of blood, it is a serious thing let alone killing them. So if, for example, you were playing ball with an Osu and you eg pushed him and he got injured, you will do a sacrifice for that. So, people felt it was safer to be on their own to avoid trouble. If they burn you well, you can't think of killing an Osu. Yes, they were among the first the missionaries converted. The reason is not far-fetched. |
FakeIgboJew:It means he is from a family of Monks. Osu people are not outcast as wrongly propagated. They are monks in the dedicated life to serve the devine. You find this practice in many other faiths like Buda monks, Hindu monks and Catholics. Infact, a Catholic priest is like an Osu. Normal, Osu are separated from People, not because they are unclean, but because they are sacred. Just like priests are seen. It is important to know this, unfortunately the missionaries that came, in their attempt to destroy the indegenous spiritualities classes it as cast system and bondage. Every literature produced that time that we had no control of the narratives, propagated that narrative. |
beerfraud:It doesn't matter, at least let us agree that Obi has that size of Igbo population in Jos alone to vote for him. Then, when we add that of indigenes that will support him, the victory will shake table. I think you are right on that. Yeye! |
Comroguji:May shame finish you people, you have to guts to post this as an achievement for Imo people. Every road in Imo is everything a raid should not be. And you are celebrating House built for people that are just there to waste the state money as legislators. And look at this " The project was delivered by the world class Koran-DiResta Construction Company of Manhattan, that delivered the Nigeria House in New York, USA and ready for commissioning by Mr. President tomorrow " Just mere renovation, they had to go to US to get a company to do what so may firms in Imo can handle. Apparently, they used them to move money abroad. We know that. Hope is just unbelievable, he has been accused of being an agent sent to destroy his State and his actions and just reinforcing that narrative. |
Obi built Orient Refinary, first State owned Refinary. Go and verify |
Insecurity:Fact-check: You have no authority to conduct fact-check for anyone, and you are very biased to offer opinion on this. Conclusion: Find another job, nobody will take you serious in your imaging cleansing job. |
Good, keep the conversation on. It is important that we keep Obi in the news all the time. When God wants to bless you, he will even use your enemy to FasTrack your blessings. A small advice for you, know that those that are supporting Obi are determined to make a statement with their votes. You cannot talk them out of it. Instead, the more you fight Obi, the more you fuel their resolve. Talking about agents, Obi will have more agents than any other candidate. Every obi supporter is also a committed agent. All of them will have their eyes on the ball. They are ready to commit anything to make their votes count. What structure means for APC and PDP is the persons that will share the money and buy votes. In the case of Obi, his supporters will share their own money and do their own mobilization. You just have to understanding of what you guys are going to deal with, .You just have to know how to prepare, because you are in for a long thing. If you are looking at this election with the same 1999 to 2019 model, sorry, you will soon realize that you have been left behind. Tye electoral system has changed, the political consciousness has changed and their is anger, such that majority of Nigerians have a pound of flesh from the politicians of the old establishment. |
tonyuny12:Sure, that's how stu,pid you guys think we are. A man that witnessed the election, and infact, worked as a PDP agent in the election, you want him to ask google about something we was part of. Why don't you start by sharing public pronouncements of Tinubu that showed he ever supported GEJ. I you share one statement ever made by Tinubu in support of GEJ, I will here and now declare my support for Tinubu. Election figure of Lagos in support of GEJ was never the making of Tinubu, it was the SE and SS people in Lagos that gave that. You guys have not dropped the old trick of bandying narratives over and over to make it look true. God don catch una, internet has rubbished all your plans. Tinubu invested in the media over the years and put editors on payroll for the purpose of shaping narrative for a time like this, unfortunately, the motive of those investments have collapsed. The free media is the true arena today, and he has no control of it. We will continue to bust the bubbles. |
tonyuny12:Please where and how. Was it when he fronted Ribadu under ACN or when please. You guys are really funy. |
You posted this by past 10pm. Bros, jokes apart, you will have heart attack. Everyday, "Obi will not win", why are you taking panadol on another man's headache. Leave Obi to fail and learn his lessons. I suggest you start sharing the time-time and plan of Tinubu's transformation mission, since you are sure he has won already. You guys are really unintelligent, you fail to realize that your criticism of Obi is the driving force of his movement. I sometimes wonder if Tinubu wants to be Fada Christmas by his resolve to spend money on this election. Well, the man has a lot of money he has accumulated for years to spend on his "life-long ambition." Well, taking his money is part of taking back Nigeria. We are not going anywhere, we are out to watch the making of an important history in Nigeria's politics. At least, be happy that in your life time, you have seen Nigerians rise up against the establishment to take back their country. We know many have Stockholm syndrome, they will continue to worship their oppressors, that is allowed. But one thing that is making me happy in Nigeria today (with this one week, one trouble situation we have been in) , I am proud of this generation that has stampeded the primitive ethnic and religious biases in politics, to stand with hands held together in solidarity, to rescue Nigeria. It reminds me of the first line of Nigeria's National anthem. Indeed, a new day has come, Obi is coming!!! |
apache22b:Chai, I am enjoying this. See the desperation in your appeal. You listed what will befall Nigerian if Obi wins, you didn't say why and how Obi will put Nigerian into such mess. Just little advice, you will be of help to your master and Savior Tinubu if you advice him to market himself and avoid being in the another Buhari that refuses to engage with the citizens. |

So, you conveniently talked about Nzeribe, but did not mention Humprey Nwosu who announced the result against the instruction of IBB, which earned him an arrest and detention. Pro-democracy movement did not begin and end with Radio Kudirat, which Fayemi dem was running. There were people that stood their ground and instigated the actions that put the government at the edge. Many of them were Igbos. The report above was reported by Osoba, who was active in the media space. You guys should try and read from the right sources and stop relying on vendor-stand arguments. |
Please, we need answers. Maybe some of us are ignorant and wish to know. In a very simple way, can those that know compare for us how he impressively improved Lagos better than Jakande, Marwa and Fashola after him. Enough of those "he was hunting for talents", if that is his strongest skill, and his is the best in Nigeria, then we can make him head of service. Truth is that we have not been able to know if what we have now in Lagos is the best Lagos can be, because we have the same cartel running Lagos like an organized crime. Small States, with smaller IGR/GDP are doing way better, all we hear is Lagos has this IGR and that, how has those high IGR translated to better Lagos. Go to Akwa Ibom, when you do a before and after for Akpabio and Udom, you will see evidence based achivement. Lagos own is just "media narratives". Go to Delta State, the State Road from Warri to Asaba cannot be found in Lagos as a State Road. That is a road you will Spend two hours driving, on a dual carriage way. Go to Ebonyi, one of the poorest States in Nigeria, the achievements of Umahi dwarfed the achievement of all the Lagos Governors, despite being a "poor" State. I don't want to even talk about River State. So, quit moving from pillar to post and tell us in specifics how Tinubu was an outstanding governor in his time. |
BATified2023:Will you just keep quiet. Which Tinubu and NADECO. All you small children of yesterday just hear lies and you quickly carried it on your head. Some of the main actors in NADECO are alive,. This is an extract from Iloegbunam's publication: "...It was not the Igbo that nullified Chief Abiola’s victory in the 1993 presidential election. Rather, Ndigbo were in the forefront of the NADECO (National Democratic Coalition) struggle against the gross injustice. At least a third of those that formed the NADECO were Igbo, according to a list in Battlelines: Adventures in Journalism and Politics, Chief Segun Osoba’s autobiography published in 2020 by Diamond Publications Limited, Lagos. They included Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe, the late Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu, Okwadike (Dr.) Chukwuemeka Ezeife, Prof Anya O. Anya, Chief Ralph Obioha, Chief Empire Kanu, Chief Michael Anyiam, Chief E. Duru, Chief Vincent Nwizugbo and Dr. Uma Eleazu. NADECO had an international arm. In the United Kingdom, its meetings were held in the late Raph Uwechue’s Africa Books Limited offices in Hammersmith London. Chief Uwechue was Igbo. Dear Sam, I do not know exactly where you were at the time, and I concede that, among Nigerian politicians, there is something known as selective amnesia. If, therefore, your Tinubu, who lived in London for a portion of his exile, does not remember Uwechue’s role in NADECO, I am sure that none of General Alani Akinrinade, Professor Bolaji Akinyemi and Professor Sylvester Monye will ever forget. All the Igbo fighters for June 12 were not dissuaded by the fact that their struggle was to actualise the electoral mandate of Chief Abiola, a Yoruba politician. Apart from incarceration, harassment by security operatives and the alienation of exile, some of these men paid heavily in other ways for their commitment to cause of justice. Chief Bobo Nwosisi died in exile in London. Chief Obioha lost his bank, the First African Trust Bank Limited". Tinubu was never at the fore front of NADECO, in fact, reports are there that he was negotiating VP with Abacha. Abiola's Son confirmed this. You guys should know that time is up for those your yester-years crafty-journalism. The space is now open to counter false naratives. |
LifestyleTonite:The biggest fraud in the current political space in the Marketing of Tinubu as the make of Lagos and the one that made Lagos home for all. Seriously speaking, Tinubu was the one that amplified the ethnic differences in Lagos. Tinubu was not there when Zik won for a parliamentary seat in Lagos, and infact, the trade in Lagos pre-colonial was dominated by the Binis and Lagos was Named Lagos, not by Nigerians. This tells you that before even Nigeria exited as a country, Lagos has remained an economic hub for all persons. Majority of the acknowledged indigenes of Lagos have their origin from Sierra Leone and Brazil. Every race and nation and ethnics group have all found Lagos as a common point of convergence for commerce. With Nigeria adopting Lagos as the Capital, Lagos was even made more open for all Nigerians and all Nigerians lived in Lagos togther in peace, wiythout ethnic profiling. It was from 1999 that the ethic divisions amplified by the OPC movement and the other regional political interest led by Tinubu that we saw the worse ethnic profiling in our time. Buba Marwa as Military administrator of Lagos was better than Tinubu in that areas and over the years, Tinubu has continually instigated ethnic bias because of his fear of losing control of Lagos through the influence of the none-Yorubas in Lagos. It was a popular saying that in Tinubu's time, all the areas that were dominated by Igbos received no attention from the State. Eg, go to the Ojo, and the Amuwo Odofin area and see if they represent the Picture of Lagos you people say is working. We saw what happened in 2015, how Tinubu's and his guys frustrated PVC registration and collection in the Igbo dominated areas. Under him, Igbos were pushed out of Balogun market and they has to go and replicate another one at the National Trade fare complex. He keeps discriminating against those that are not originally from Lagos, forgetting that they are like him that is not Originally from Lagos. The right he has in Lago is the same right the man from Edo State has in Lagos. So, you people should quit this falsehood and tell the truth the way it is. |
naijapips04:Says an empty skull whose master is a con artist that is fake up to his DNA. Tinubu will be studied as the biggest political scam in the history of democracy. What is annoying is that some bubble heads will just come and use the term " brilliant" for him. |
PandaroObi:Good, I am happy you are very observant, even though you are not intelligent. Peter Obi has evolved above those pettiness of carrying "biff" with people around. That is one major attribute of a good leaders. You cannot find that in anyone in APC. Person wey pass you, pass you, you do not need to hold ground with that person. I will not be surprised if I heard that Peter Obi visited Tinubu. He has the wiring to do that. He is a man with no bitterness in him. Look at his face, he is always smiling 70% of all the time, it is sign of inner peace. It is rare to find that among politicians. At least, you have given him a well deserving credit, even though it was unintended. |
I hope people are seeing the desperation and those putting firewood to the Politics of ethnicity. I hope we are seeing the people that are creating the monster that will consume them. Thank God internet will not forget. If it means doom to a people that have have 8 years of Presidency, and 8 years of vice presidency, what are then telling the Igbos that have never had theirs, what of the North central, the Idomas, the Jukuns, the Nupes, the Tivs, the Igalas, the Bajus, the Ikulus. I guess they are inconsequential or insignificant like Tinubu's action said about Northern Christians. I hate it that some bag eggs in South West are giving room for people to make a general statement that will offend the good Yorubas. I strongly believe the Yorubas have well evolved people, and very independent minded ones among them, but the very people that are pushing this power tabs are giving wrong image about them. But they will be put to shame. The people that claim to love the Yorubas more are same people that prevented a Yoruba person from being speaker of the House of Reps. The reason was that it was all about party politics, but now, it is about the Yorubas abi? Some people think they are smart. |
Frigga13:When you stand in your small space and be claiming know it all, you will continue to deceive your master with a false hope. You have analyzed all the NC from one spot without giving empirical reason for your assertion. This is the same mindset that made Tinubu go for a M/M ticket because he was deceived that it does not matter. WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU THINK MATER MOST now, you guys have no sensory to feel the pulse of the people. If you like be the Chief of Northern Christians, what is clear is that Christians in the North are not going to vote for their Northern identity, or for road or job, they are faced with a situation that will shape their existence as Christians in the North post 2023 election. They have been pushed to the wall APC that made a statement that they are insignificant and by the Fulanis who are working for their extinction. These two fears and concerns are represented in APC and PDP candidates. That analysis above apart, if you claim to have seen what is happening in those areas, I also have my own information on what is happening those areas. In Southern Kaduna, the different people I know there are more Obidient than Igbos self. I was with my friend who is Baju by tribe, he was making a call and they were discussing the Obi movements plans in their place. After the call, he told me "I wish the South are as ready and rugged as they as on this Obi mater". In Jos, what I have seen is similar. Benue and Nasarawa is very predictable. It is either you are ignorant or mischievous by assuming that these calls by Pastors and Priests to their congregants to get ready is for Atiku. If that is what you think, then go and unlearn. |
