It's a high time our higher institutions live up to rising challenges. The engineering prof and students should see how to make alternative power supply.

Students projects should be fashioned in this way so that we can reawaken technological attributes in our youths

PoliticsRe: Newly Rehabilitated Brown Street, Oshodi By Lagos State Government by a2personal2013: 9:33pm On May 05, 2016
This is a welcome development, but we can learn to improve our roads by preventing street parking. A 10 storey parking lot can be built where we can have paid parking.

This can generate funds for the government and at same time open the road better for road users.
I hope this can get to the governor to improve our roads.

RomanceRe: Are Guys Intimidated By Girls Who Come Powerful Families? by a2personal2013: 4:23am On Apr 26, 2016
For very obvious reasons, I won't blame guys that do.

Most wealthy and powerful families (Nigerians especially) are very arrogant and domineering. This is worse when the guy is from a lower social strata . Right from the planing of the wedding through the wedding proper, you must notice their hand and decision in every area.

This also follows the couple to their matrimonial homes. Some parents would want to make every decision for them. I have a friend who got married to this influential family. On the wedding day, my friend's family and well wishers were given a canopy outside the compound of the main event. His family was barely recognized .

Till date my friend regrets tying himself here because his father in law always wants intrude in his home. This is especially this way because the wife relates everything happening in the house to her father, making him the COMPTROLLER GENERAL of the house. His only reason for remaining in the marriage is his kids !

This is just to mention a few reasons most guys would rather thread on this path lightly !

PoliticsRe: The Senate, CCT And The Politics Of Saraki’s Trial By Reuben Abati by a2personal2013: 7:59am On Apr 22, 2016
I truly do not feel pity for Saraki and think he deserves everything he gets from this administration. These same politicians have collectively turned this country into a game house where they can manipulate the cursor at their will. He not only plundered Kwara State but contributed to this failed administration.

Yesterday, he was a Hero dinning with the devil when they had a common enemy. Today, he is the common enemy that must be sacrificed on the alter of politics. I truly hope, every politician that has taken us backwards regardless of their party must meet the same fate as Saraki.

I also pray that the youths would see beyond the rims of political parties and put more pressures on our leaders who have proved to be the same regardless of party affiliations. They are only interested in power to satisfy their insatiable lust and benefit their families to the detriment of the Nation.

We must collectively ask questions and seek answers with added resolutions on how to make this country great.
PoliticsRe: Sahara Reporters Releases Phone Numbers Of Members Of Ethics Committee (photos) by a2personal2013: 5:17pm On Apr 19, 2016
Can someone tell Sahara Reporters to give us phone numbers of the ministers . We need to call them too, unless they want us to believe they are working very well. Until we begin to measure the sins of our leaders with the same spoon, we will continue to revolve around same circles.

Its very shameless what journalism has become in this dispensation. SR have just confirmed the assertions that they are just a tool for those not too favourable to the Executive's wishes. They never sent us the Petroleum Ministers number when there were ( and still is) endless queues. We didn't see Fashola's number when there was total blackout in the country. And the list goes on.

Politics#saharareporters We Need Phone Numbers Of Ministers Too... by a2personal2013(op): 1:46am On Apr 19, 2016
I have been very excited about the calls several Nigerians have been making to their legislators. Some have been embarrassing while others have been totally comical. I truly appreciate Sahara Reporters for this very gesture since the Legislative arm of government have been thriving well below expectations.

In this light, I want to appeal to Sahara Reporters in the same vein to publish the phone numbers of our Ministers so that we can equally make our complaints direct to them. I want Fashola's phone number so that I can tell him of our predicament. We need to equally make the executive arm of Government know that they are not above the citizens. In civilized societies people would have voluntarily resigned with this hardship bestowed on Nigerians.

What is good for the goose is equally good for the gander.

PoliticsNew Video Shows Chibok Girls ‘alive’ by a2personal2013(op): 10:15pm On Apr 13, 2016
A video made available to CNN shows that the schoolgirls kidnapped from Chibok two years ago are still alive and looking well taken care of, the American news network is reporting.

CNN said it obtained a video of some of the Chibok Girls which had been sent to negotiators by their captors as a “proof of life”.

It also said the video had been seen by negotiators and some members of the government, but has now been shown the parents.

CNN reports that Rifkatu Ayuba caught sight of her long-lost, desperately missed, now 17-year-old and wiled: “My Saratu!”

She reached out to a laptop screen, “the closest she’s been to her child in two years”.Saratu Ayuba is one of 15 girls seen in the recording, shown to some of the families for the first time at an emotional meeting this week. Wearing a purple abaya, with a patterned brown scarf covering her hair, Saratu stares directly into the camera.

“I felt like removing her from the screen,” Ayuba told CNN, desperate to pluck Saratu from the mysterious location where she is being held and bring her home. “If I could, I would have removed her from the screen.” The video is believed to have been made last December, CNN reported, as part of negotiations between the government and Boko Haram. It was released by someone keen to give the girls’ parents hope that some of their daughters are still alive, and to motivate the government to help release them.

The girls, their hair covered and wearing long, flowing robes, line up against a dirty yellow wall. They show no obvious signs of maltreatment.

As the camera focuses in on each of them, a man behind the camera fires off questions: “What’s your name? Was that your name at school? Where were you taken from?”

One by one, each girl calmly states her name and explains that she was taken from Chibok Government Secondary School, according to the report.

CNN reports: “As the two-minute clip comes to an end, one of the girls, Naomi Zakaria, makes a final — apparently scripted — appeal to whoever is watching, urging the Nigerian authorities to help reunite the girls with their families.”

“I am speaking on 25 December 2015, on behalf of the all the Chibok girls and we are all well,” she says, stressing the word “all”, and CNN believes her intonation seems to imply that the 15 teens seen in the video have been chosen to represent the group as a whole.

Thomson Reuters Foundation also published a separate story corroborating CNN’s report.

According to the foundation, about 15 abducted Chibok girls featured in the video, which was released to local officials on Tuesday.

Mothers Rifkatu Ayuba and Mary Ishaya said they recognised their daughters, Saratu and Hauwa, in the video, while a third mother, Yana Galang, identified five of the missing girls.

“The girls were looking very, very well,” Galang was quoted as saying in a telephone interview with the foundation after viewing the video at a screening organised by local officials in Maiduguri, capital of Borno state.

The three mothers were invited to the viewing by the chairman of Chibok local government area, Bana Lawan, who confirmed that he had paid their travel costs to Maiduguri.

“They were definitely our daughters … all we want is for the government to bring back our girls,” said Galang, adding all the girls were wearing hijabs in the video.

No member of Boko Haram was visible in the video and local officials were not immediately available to give details on how they received the video.

“We only heard a man’s voice and saw his finger pointing at the girls one after the other,” he added.

Thursday will make exactly two years that the girls have been in captivity.

Op, I'm so sorry to hear about your predicament. I am quite busy at the moment but want to let you know that there is hope medically.

Urologist can do a testicular biopsy where your sperm can be harvested and used artificially to fertilize a females egg. This can then be implanted (IVF). As for the erection, several studies are in very high stages where there are positive results.

Don;t give up and never regret being the good man that you are. Life is full of other options

PoliticsRe: The Youth Finally Speaks!!! This Is What We Want. We Are Demanding It In 2019 by a2personal2013: 8:18pm On Mar 25, 2016
The youths have lost their place in today's Nigeria. We need to indulge in massive campaign to get our country back. It may take a while but I think we can get there with continuous pressure. We are just being used by the old foxes to satisfy their insatiable lust.

Our first request should be a change in the system. We need a system that respects everybody regardless of your age, tribe or religion. Nigerians still see age as experience. The older you are , the more experience they think you will be. We should also try to place ourselves on the center of the stage rather than just sit as onlookers. We should not be counted as just votes without playing a role in the government.

Lastly, we must learn to vote wisely bereft of sentiments. We should scrutinize each candidate carefully before lending our support. The past must be reviewed with a projected vision of the future. Clear plans must be seen before pledging our supports. Once we realize that we are the major stakeholders in the business called Nigeria, then we can make the desired positive change.

Please, please and please....enough of these propaganda. $12 billion is equivalent to 39810000000000.00 Nigerian Naira ( ie 39.8 Trillion Naira).

It has become a trend in this dispensation to always promote a propaganda once there is a major allegation facing the administration.

Those that have eaten Aisha's rice should device another strategy as this one is staled !!! We must not let them steal the votes of the masses in River state. Its quite ironic that a government that came to power via a well orchestrated election cannot conduct a fair election. This is absolutely ridiculous !
