I get very scared when we blame everyone but the president for any wrong doing. I candidly think we are setting a bad precedence for this administration.

Yesterday, the executives blamed the head of parastatals for padding the budget. Their positions were even sacrificed to satisfy the failure of the executives. Now they have come with another round of blame again. It's the legislators fault for doing what they are paid to do.

It's an old adage that says you must not wait till night to look for your black goat. We must not let the same pattern we had with the last administration repeat itself. We all folded our hands until it was almost too late.

We must endeavour to put this administration on the right path. They must understand that Nigerians trusted them with their votes and they must deliver the promised dividends. We will not keep quiet and massage the president's ego when he is wrong.

He goofed with the budget and he must be told. He should learn to take responsibilities of his administration and not trade blames.

For a country to grow the collective impact of the youth is needed. No form of media propaganda will change the truth. Please leave Saraki out of this he is only doing his job. He may not be a saint, but he did a great job in identifying the lapses in the budget.

If this regime is sincere about eradicating corruption, then we should be grateful to the senate. Remember the Senate acts as a check to the executive arm likewise the executives also check mates the legislative arm. I am sure we are all waiting to see the progress in the trial of the Senate president. This is the beauty of democracy
Foreign AffairsNew Tanzania President Did This In Just 3 Months by a2personal2013(op): 8:08am On Feb 23, 2016
On November 5, 2015 Tanzania swore into office a new President. Coincidentally he is also a John.

John Magufuli is doing what has been termed the “Rwandanisation of Tanzania”. If you dont know about what Paul Kagame has done with Rwanda make Google your friend.

Here are some of the things John Magufuli has done already in LESS THAN A MONTH. Not in 3 or 6 years, one month. He’s shown a clear commitment to walk the talk but not to talk and talk and talk and talk more like we do here:

1. Soon after his election, Magufuli declared there would be no celebration of Independence Day on 9 December because it would be “shameful” to spend huge sums of money on the celebrations when people were dying of cholera. Instead, the day has been set as a national day of cleanliness, and the money will go toward street¬cleaning services. He has said everybody should pick up their tools and clean their backyards.

2. After his first official visit to the Muhimbili Hospital, and seeing the horrible state it was in, he ordered over 200 million shillings marked for “parliament parties” be used to pay for beds for people lying on the floor and sharing beds.

A few days later 300 beds were delivered. He dismissed the governing board and got a new team in place, and within days the broken MRI was fixed. He also pared down his inauguration party from $100,000 to $7,000 and sent the extra money to the hospital.

3. Three days into his term, Magufuli announced a ban on all foreign travel by government officials. They have been instructed to instead make regular visits to rural areas to learn and help solve problems facing everyday Tanzanians. All tasks that required officials to travel abroad would instead be done by high commissioners and ambassadors who are already in place.

4. He has restricted all first¬ and business class travel to government officials, except the president, vice¬president and prime minister.

5. There will be no more workshops and seminars in expensive hotels when there are so many ministry board rooms available.

6. He suspended the Tanzania Revenue Authority’s chief and other officials pending investigations after a visit by Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa to the port of Dar es Salaam found 350 containers listed in its books were missing.

7. When he had to travel 600km to Dodoma, from Dar, to officially open parliament last week, he didn’t order a private jet – instead, he chose to drive.

8. At the National Assembly in Dodoma last week he clearly sent out the message that it will not be business as usual under his leadership.

9. He promised to cut public spending, fight corruption and enhance accountability in public service. He said it is time for Tanzanians to walk the talk.

10. Magufuli reportedly told parliamentary leaders that the people of Tanzania want him to solve their problems and not make speeches.

How I wish we could learn from this leader. We must understand that there is a lot to do with very minimal resources. The government cannot bre broke, yet they still indulge in same activities we criticized with the previous administration.

This is supposed to be a government of change. A positive change that will bring hope to the masses and not the masters.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Is A Disaster Waiting To Happen by a2personal2013: 2:29am On Feb 22, 2016
Well said. The government must look beyond party line to immediately set up an economic team. Unnecessary "high service" will take us nowhere. I just hope the president will listen to the voice of the people and act fast.
As youths and compulsory stake holders we must use every legitimate means to pressurize the government to do what is right.

Elections are long over. We must see beyond party lines here. Nothing can change the results. The winners have won and the losers have moved on. The present administration should focus on their campaign promises to the masses and stop the blame game.

I strongly believe in the Nigerian project and positive we will get there sooner.

We must not let these politicians, Gej, Obj or PMB fool us. We must continue to mount pressure on the govt so that we can get a better Naija.

I still have great hopes that Nigeria will be great again. Say no to these failed leaders.

Can this just be mere co-incidence or there was a calculated and directional plan to keep the bloodline in power......

It gets even weirder than the image above. From presidents of America, to former Kings and Queens in England, to ancient Greek and Roman rulers, and as far back as the pharaohs of ancient Egypt they have for the most part all shared a common bloodline. Doesn’t sound like much of a “democracy” anymore, now does it? This key bloodline originated between the famous Egyptian queen, Cleopatra (60-30 B.C.) who had three children with the famous Roman politician and general Mark Antony, which continued on from there.

Please click here to watch this video of how a 12 year old girl figured out that America’s presidents are related.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uz0ilTl84dg&feature=youtu.be

The whole idea of marrying within one’s family to keep the money and power in the same hands and having a singular privileged superior ruling class over an un-privileged class is an age old idea that was at the core of“fascism.” The word itself is believed to have come from the Italian word “fascis” meaning a “bundle” and the Latin word “fasces,” which described the symbol of an ax surrounded by a bundle of wooden sticks, which stood for unity and authority in ancient Rome.

Politics$600,000,000 In Drug Money Buried On His Farm by a2personal2013(op): 3:04pm On Feb 14, 2016
This is one story that might excite you considering the stories of buried money.....

Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria (December 1, 1949 – December 2, 1993) was a notorious Colombian drug lord who at the height of his career, supplied about 80% of the cocaine smuggled into the US. Known as “The King of Cocaine”, he was the wealthiest criminal in history, with an estimated known net worth of US$30 billion by the early 1990s, and approximately US$50 billion when including money that was buried in different areas of Colombia.

cocaine At the height of its power, Pablo Escobar’s drug cartel was smuggling fifteen tons of cocaine (worth more than half a billion dollars) into the United States every single day. He made so much money that he had to spend $1000 per week purchasing rubber bands to wrap the stacks of cash.

pablo-escobar-facts

Pablo had so much money that he could not possibly spend it all. He had over 800 luxury mansions all over Colombia, owned football teams, he gave away billions of dollars to help build hospital’s, schools, work programs and even rebuilt entire ghettos for the poverty stricken people of Colombia.

pablos-moneyEven with all that going on, he still had too much cash to hide. So he started to bury it all over Colombia. The location of each money pit was known by only Pablo and his three closest associates.

pablo-escobar-dead

When Pablo was finally killed, the location of many of these money pits died with him. The CIA estimates there to be about 100 of these money pits that have yet to be discovered, each containing between five hundred million to one billion dollars.

Fast forward to today. Meet Jose Mariena Cartolos, a 65 year old farmer who recently received a $3000 grant from the Colombian government to help him start a palm oil plantation on land that has been in his family for over 200 years.

While digging the irrigation trench for the plantation, Jose discovered something big beneath his feet. After further excavation, Jose discovered several large blue containers with something incredible inside.

Money, not just a few hundred dollars, not even a million dollars, heck not even 100 million dollars. This 65 year old farmer with nothing but the shirt on his back had managed to find one of Pablo Escobar’s money pit’s containing a whopping $600,000,000. Yup thats right, six hundred million dollars.

money

Its not clear what will happen to the money now, but many speculate that Jose Mariena Cartolos will not be allowed to keep the money, but it will most likely remain in Colombia and be used to fund social and economical programs that help those in poverty.

This news will most likely create a modern day “Gold Rush” as people flock to the Colombian countryside with echo sounders and all kinds of scanning equipment, searching for more of Pablo Escobar’s hidden money pits.

What would you do if you found this kind of money?

I never get tired of reading your posts. Interesting and hilarious but resonates with the reality of things. We should learn to stand for the truth and what we believe in. Nobody wants to be an opposition anymore.

We should learn to differentiate being a sycophant from being loyal. Our leaders too should learn to discourage eye service. I think we just love to be glorified. We love to hear people sing our praise.

Massive media campaign should be done to sensitized people about the dangers of lassa fever. The government should make the treatment available. Ribavirin injection is very effective. Healthcare workers across the country should be trained adequately on how to identify the illness and how to initiate the management.
Car TalkRe: Car Logo And Their Origin by a2personal2013(op): 7:13am On Jan 19, 2016
13. Rolls-Royce Logo Origin

Sir Henry Royce and Charles Stewart Rolls originally used red lettering for the emblem that combined the first initial of their last names. It’s widely believed the color was changed, from red to black, after the death of Charles Stewart Rolls in an aviation accident in 1910. It’s not true, however noble that might sound. Blacklettering was simply considered more fitting for a luxury car, and the timing of the change was a tragic coincidence. Rolls Royce’s second iconic emblem, the “Spirit of Ecstasy” hood ornament, is linked to a similarly tragic (but in this case, entirely true) tale. Designed by Charles Sykes in 1911, the model for the emblem was Miss Eleanor Thornton, the personal secretary of John Scott Montagu, the 2nd Baron Montagu of Beaulieu and friend of company co-founder Charles Stewart Rolls. In 1915, Miss Thornton died at sea while traveling to India. Yet for almost 100 years her likeness has graced every Spirit of Ecstasy.

9. Subaru Logo Origin

Inspiration for the Subaru name literally came from the heavens -- or more precisely, the Japanese name of a star cluster in the Taurus constellation. Six of the stars are visible to the naked eye and -- in keeping with corporate identity -- this matches the six companies which combined to form Fuji Heavy Industries, Subaru's parent company

10. Hyundai Logo Origin

The Hyundai name has an even simpler explanation. In Koren it means "modern," while the company's logo is a stylized "H" that also represents two people, the company and customer, shaking hands.

11. Porsche Logo Origin

According to a spokesperson with Porsche Cars North America, Max Hoffman, an extremely influential automobile distributor, met with Ferry Porsche in a New York City restaurant in 1951. The discussion moved on to Hoffman’s belief that Porsche needed a powerful logo, something distinctive and elegant. A rough sketch was made then and there, on a dinner napkin. Yet the story from Porsche Germany differs from this colorful explanation. Max Hoffman did ask Ferry Porsche for a logo, but the emblem was designed by Porsche engineer Franz Xaver Reimspiess – and most definitely not sketched on a napkin somewhere in Manhattan.

12. Lamborghini Logo Origin

A tall tale never hurts, especially when it involves two companies known for building some of the most exotic cars in the world. Car enthusiasts love to stoke the rivalry between Lamborghini and Ferrari, even down to the minutiae of the Lamborghini logo. The design of the gold and black emblem was led by company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, and the bull located in the center stands for his zodiacal sign (Taurus). Legend has it that Mr. Lamborghini purposefully copied the Ferrari shield, then inversed that company’s yellow and black color scheme to prod the ego of Enzo Ferrari.

5. Chrysler Logo Origin

Changing times can also bring big changes in a logo. For more than 80 years, Chrysler has used a wide range of badges featuring ribbon seals, or ribbon seals with wings. But in 1962, Chrysler Chairman Lynn Townsend wanted a more modern and less fussy corporate logo. According to Chrysler's archives, out of approximately 700 designs, Townsend selected the Pentastar. Many assumed the design symbolized the five divisions of the company (circa the early 1960s). It didn't, the design simply looked good.

6. Volvo Logo Origin

Volvo also has Latin roots. Meaning "I roll," the name was taken from a brand of ball bearings before it was applied to the Swedish automaker in 1924. The Volvo logo is the Roman symbol for iron -- symbolizing a warrior's shield and spear. The diagonal streak across the grill was originally only a mounting point for the badge, but is now "almost as much a brand ID as our iron symbol," says Daniel Johnston, Product Communications Manager at Volvo Cars North America.

7. Toyota Logo Origin

Good luck -- and an easier to pronounce name -- played a role in the creation of the Toyota nameplate in 1936. In the book Toyota: A History of the First 50 Years, company founder, Kiichiro Toyoda, "ran a contest for suggestions for a new Toyoda logo. There were over 20,000 entries. The winning entry consisted of katakana characters in a design that imparted a sense of speed... 'Toyoda' became 'Toyota' because as a design it was esthetically superior and because the number of strokes needed to write it was eight, which in Japan is a felicitous number, suggestive of increasing prosperity."

8. Maserati Logo Origin

The Maserati brothers took inspiration for their company’s trident logo from the statue of Neptune in the central square of Bologna, Italy, where Maserati was originally headquartered. The trident with Maserati script below was sketched by Mario, an artist, who also happened to be the only Maserati brother never actively involved in the design or engineering of cars.

Car TalkCar Logo And Their Origin by a2personal2013(op): 7:08am On Jan 19, 2016
Lets drive through the stories behind some of the most well-known logos in the world.

1. Mercedes-Benz Logo Origin

The origins of some automotive logos begin even before the dawn of the automobile. The Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star is commonly known to symbolize the use of the company’s engines on land, sea and air. But the star first appeared on a personal note written in 1872 from company founder, Gottlieb Daimler, to his wife. Mr. Daimler used a three-pointed star to mark the location of his family’s new home in the town of Deutz, Germany. His sons adapted the emblem as the Mercedes-Benz logo from 1910 onwards.

2. Ferrari Logo Origin

The Ferrari "Prancing Horse" made its first appearance on the warplane flown by Francesco Baracca, an Italian flying ace who died during World War I. In 1923, when he was still a race car driver, a young Enzo Ferrari met Baracca's parents following an automobile race. Both for good luck and out of respect for their son, they suggested Ferrari use their son's prancing horse badge on his race cars. Enzo added a yellow background -- it's the official color of his hometown in Modena, Italy -- and the horse's tail was redesigned to point upwards instead of down.

3. BMW Logo Origin

Despite the popular myth, the BMW logo does not represent a stylized airplane propeller. The blue and white logo is borrowed from the Bavarian flag, nothing more. The misconception began in the 1920s, when an advertising agency used the BMW Roundel as the spinning propeller of an airplane -- before it built cars, BMW was busy piecing together aircraft engines. The ad must have been a good one because, for decades since, almost everyone assumes the design and colors of the BMW logo are rooted in aviation

4. Chevrolet Logo Origin

Did the Chevy "bow-tie" emblem originate in a wallpaper pattern? Louis Chevrolet himself said the emblem was inspired by wallpaper in his hotel room during a visit to Paris in 1908. His wife, on the other hand, had a different story to tell. Mr. Chevrolet's wife later said her husband had spotted the design in an advertisement in a Sunday supplement. Apparently the 'borrowed' design had legs, because the Chevrolet logo is one of the world's most iconic.

CelebritiesRe: Dele Momodu Tells His Side of The Story With Davido's Father, Dr Adeleke [PICS] by a2personal2013: 2:43pm On Dec 31, 2015
Let's just see the actions from another perspective.
The Adelekes should be thankful to Delete Momodu. If that child was brought to the US with Coco's claims of motherhood, the story would have been different. Some people would have been heading for to jail.

2 hard lessons should be learnt from this story. On no account should a girl think in her wildest imaginations that marriage can be tired to pregnancy. If you enjoyed the sex and become pregnant. I'd advice you to keep the pregnancy if and only if the guy is taking responsibility . Pregnancy does not guarantee marriage.

Secondly, we live in a country where the rich will always oppress the poor with no law protection for the poor and less privilege. We hope someday, we can all be judged by the same law.

Lastly, our youth should be less dependent on drugs and learn to live heathy. I am not judging anyone, I truly don't think the Adelekes would have had a reason to hold on to the child if they didn't perceive irresponsibility from the mother.

Always remember that you will always get what you give to others. I hope one day Coco or what does she call herself will get a child that will be taken from her.

The issue of terrorism has been on an exponential increase recently and everyone would agree that the inaction of Muslims worldwide has also been a contributory factor. I am surprise to see the huge and unending list of Muslim faithfuls coming out to criticize Mr Trump. If only 50% of these people can come out openly to criticize ISIS and other terrorist group affiliated with the Muslim religion, the number of their recruits would have tremendously suffered a downward plunge !

I think the bulk of the game lies in their own hands. Muslims should be very open in their criticism of these Monsters and terrorists who base their ideologies on Islam. We must not forget that most people do not see them as terrorist but as people who believe strongly in the Koran. From ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Al Shabaab, Boko Haram to name just a few, all seem to believe on ideology that originates from the religion.

Its not enough to attack Mr Trump. Its about time the Muslims dissociate themselves from these nefarious groups. Muslims have been too proactive in this fight against terrorism. They must amplify their strength and voice not just to attack Mr Trump but to speak against this common enemy of the innocent citizens of the world.

This self acclaimed Mr Righteous and Minister of Information should stop feeding the public with half truth as this will only end up heating the polity. He should realize that those who think it is permissible to tell white lies soon grow color-blind.

All the allegations he has made in recent times have all been reproved. First, it was $6 billion and his USA trip, next was NOI and misappropriation, now its Onolememen and the 2nd Niger bridge. What is Oshiomhole really afraid of that he will keep spreading obvious lies against the PDP ?
