Over 25 years I've been following basketball. Lebron is the only alltime great I've seen that no matter how loaded his team is and how underhanded the opponent is he's always the underdog. Doesn't matter if he has top 75ers and HOFers, Final MVPs. He must always be the underdog

Game 1s are usually feel games for Bron but the key thing in this series I'm seeing already is if JJJ can be efficient for the Grizzlies. Dillon Brooks in early foul trouble is a blessing in disguise, he doesn't get the opportunity to shoot his team out of the game

Let's see if Jackson can stay out of foul trouble while reducing the offensive load on Ja. He's the only one Grizzlies have that can slow down AD.

I still give the Lakers the edge because they are the much deeper team

If the Grizzlies are serious in the offseason they will go and get a 3 and D guy that doesn't think he's Kobe.

There's no rational explanation for Dillon Brooks taking 6 shots in a quarter on any team trying to win games. He doesn't play well enough on defense for that

I hope Pelinka gets his flowers for the depth and elite business he has done with the trades. Hachimura has been a fantastic pickup

I'd be a bit worried if I were the Warriors. This was a game to be stolen.

And judging by how poor they've been on the road they absolutely had to have this game IMO.

@A40 the NHL playoffs starts on Monday and once again my Blackhawks are not going to be there. The Maple Leafs v Lightning is going to be one hell of a high scoring series.. Even Charles said he was never as heavy as Zion or as explosive. Zion excuse isn't mental health, he is just too big for his level of explosiveness and his body just breaks down. Sadly some people's body are just like that. There is more than one reason why Shaq was a freak of nature, but the main one was how he could carry that much weight, be explosive and still not get his body breakdown on him.
The issue now is I don't know if he's able to shed weight and keep it off easily. Sometimes it looks like most of his weight is muscle which means he can't cut the weight at all.
It just like with Chet and Victor, with their body type, foot injuries will always be a concern

Nobody is touching Zion even with a 10ft pole, especially on that contract. This isn't about wanting to be in a particular city or not, this is about Zion not having the discipline to be a professional.

When he went out in January, we were told it was a hamstring and he would be out a few weeks. As Zion confirmed, the hamstring is healed but Zion is claiming it is more mental but the Pelicans and other sources are saying his conditioning is bad, which is a kind way of saying, he is overweight again and can not be on the floor, else, he will reinjure the hamstring.

What type of hamstring takes 4 months to heal?

The truth is players are starting to use mental health and feelings as a crutch to just flat out not play.

I heard there's a weight clause in his contract and perhaps that is what is causing him all of this. How hard can it be to just eat lean and eat clean so you can maximize your talents?

Nothing we can do about the present market. This is why we also need to get the best possible deals on the market. De Ligt is a Dutch international and only 22. Realistically with his experience and age we were never going to get him for cheap.

It would all make sense. Considering most people thought he didn't want to be there anyway. If I'm the Pelicans I would look for who I can hoodwink to pick him up on a trade if he doesn't perform or stay healthy next season

Before the fight, Cejudo picked Pereira to embarrass Izzy and was confident about it. He is just struggling to eat his humble pie, knowing he was wrong. Izzy was strategic and intentional throughout the fight and the knock out wasn't a Hail Mary as he wants everyone else to believe. He should just admit his prediction was wrong and move on.

Cejudo on a normal day I consider a highly cerebral mind when it comes to fighting but the hate towards Izzy had him sounding like a casual.

The problem is people looked at the result but didn't actually watched the fights and I'd understand it if it were some random casual but Cejudo should have known better.

It was all mental. Izzy is the more skilled fighter, he's faster but Pereira had the power edge, despite that Izzy came close to finishing him twice and for some reason everyone missed that.

I think what people don't know is Izzy is a counter puncher. And one very overlooked aspect of fighting is that while you're throwing blow is actually when you're at your most vulnerable it's purely a matter if the other person can keep their composure to fire back. 95% of the time it's usually not the case but the 5% of the time you see how devastating the knockouts can be
