LGBT rights have not been an issue in the last few world cups because gays are not killed in the countries that have hosted them and the host countries have had no issue with LGBT fans. From Russia18, to Brazil14 to south Africa10 and Germany 06, all these countries are quite receptive to LGBT people.

But you have this in a country where gay people are publicly hanged to death. the country is hostile to gay people which means that fans who used to go to the world cup with their partners would be unable to do that. Common man, that's not right.
