Roland17: I respect this a lot about Brady. He has a team approach. I have seen many superstars take all the money and then play with scrubs because the team can't pay others..Guess what, they then turnaround and complain about not having pieces. Exactly. This is why I maintain Tom Brady was a bigger ingredient in New England's success than Bill Belichick was. His leadership reminds me of Tim Duncan. Who also took less than his market value for most of his career |

birdman: those hits add up. all the strength training in the world cannot save you from the effect of naturally bigger guys lighting your @** up every sunday. At least e don get contract Yeah and more importantly all that cutting and having to block guys bigger than you. While the Running back position is replaceable doesn't mean you don't have exceptional running backs and it's not a position you could just get a guy from the streets and get elite results |

And TJ Watt deserves every penny. If you don't pay him good luck keeping players. I don't think we will have a franchise QB for another 2-3 seasons at least so it shouldn't be a cap space issue
The Nets traded for Jahlil Okafor then waived him. Bizarre considering they gave away several second round picks to offload Deandre |

chic2pimp: Zeke is just a sad case. Dude has regressed so badly it's almost unreal. Such a pitiful sight. Lol this is why you don't pay the Running back too much. Todd Gurley, Leveon Bell, Christian McCaffrey, Ezekiel Elliott etc. I actually think Running backs should get much better rookie deals because most of them by their 4th season are pretty much finished. |

Dak looks good by the way..I did not expect this level performance after a horrific injury. Never rule out the Brady factor. Who else do you think can get Gronk, AB, Suh and other guys to play below their market value? He leads by example by taking far less. And making life easier for GMs. Just one year without Brady and Belichick is already spending almost $200m on guys who aren't exactly game changers and are mid at best Respect to Dak. He impressed me last night |

Lordave: You gotta admit he’s performed all the time he managed to stay fit and I even expect him to develop the more as his ball playing abilities is just average. It would be a huge plus if he can keep the ball and find his man with a good long ball like Boateng did with both feet.
Omar was decent in the Pre Seasons, I expect him to be a stiff competition for Phonzie before the season ends.
Glassley Coman has suffered a calf injury Not surpised about Coman. The ninja no gree improve and still feels entitled. I don't know what we do with him long term because he keeps showing occasional flashes of magic but I just don't see a guy that will ever be World class at his position |

Cuisance: Sabitzer is going to be more than a sub for Goretzka. He's a very versatile player that can play multiple positions.
He can slot in perfectly with Goretzka if Nagelesman decides to play a 3-4-3 system with Kimmich on RWB (considering we don't have an attacking rwb yet)
Considering our luck with injuries he can also play as a RW remember how toothless our attack was against PSG when Lewy and Gnabry where not available. Unlike Coman and Sane, Sabitzer knows how to finish. If we had Sabitzer in that tie vs PSG we win that match, we had solid bench options in our last two UCL wins.
Bonus points also is we know have a player capable of scoring Freekicks again
Sabitzer is the perfect Bayern transfer for me, loves the club, a goal threat and plays multiple positions.
As for Leipzig they have solid replacement for all they lost, infact we have actually funded there transfers this season. I have zero issues with the Sabitzer signing for the record. I saw him as insurance for Goretzka but if he turns out to be more than that I would be pleased. I'm also aware he can fill the Muller role but not as creative as Muller obviously I do understand he could be a Gustavo type signing for us with his utility and it helps that he can also play in the wings. So long as he's contented coming off the bench if everyone is fit then even better because I don't necessarily consider him a starter for Bayern. But like you said the fact that he's a lifelong Bayern fan means he will put in his best shift anytime he puts on the shirt. He was arguably their best player the year they got to the CL semis so I look forward to more of what he brings to the table. I have him pegged primarily as a B2B midfielder that's more offensive than defensive |

Ahh. This ninja really put the Lakers in the same bracket as the Nuggets and Clippers. Man's really said the Warriors are the deepest team with Steph, Andrew Wiggins, a guy coming from 2 years torn ACL and Achilles and Draymond. raumdeuter: Sabitzer is a good player and a good sub for Goretzka. Also that puts pressure on Goretzka. Remember when Goretzka left injured vs PSG, we had to start trying Alaba in midfield and other strange formation, Sabitzer is not a Rode type transfer, he is better than that
I am very impressed with Musiala as usual, Sane looks better on the left I have a sneaky suspicion he was signed incase Goretzka tries to prove stubborn. He was taking PKs at Leipzig which padded his goalscoring stats a bit. Either way we can only hope he adds a little extra that the team maybe missing in that box to box role |

I blame the analytic heads that have given them an alibi. I don't know how you watch the last two teams that won the title and keep parroting the opinion that shooting is still a must have for a team. Two of their best 3 players are 33 years and younger that's all I know. The other is still a top 5 player in the league. Anyone who tells you this is not a stacked team is a liar and if they tell you it's raining you should look out the window to verify |

raumdeuter: I agree with you. Sabitzer will at best be a Goretzka sub. The thing that brought up the Sabitzer thing is perennially injured Tolliso and Roca. Even Cuisance he turned out to be a nuisance
Sabitzer is not going to elevate our game beyond being a bench player. Sabitzer is about to leave Leipzig for free next season. I dont mind him if he elevate the team but he is just a depth player at this point It's unfortunate because Leipzig really intrigue me but they look so much weaker this year. Tolisso and Roca have panned out to be absolute duds and Marseille didn't even come back for Cuisance. I mean even a useless player like Bakayoko got another loan from Milan. Our recent scouting has been pretty dodgy Sabitzer is a solid option for Goretzka who seems injury prone. I don't also know if he's signed his extension like Kimmich has so perhaps some form of insurance. Sabitzer for me is a really good player I just don't know if he was a need |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by A40(m): 10:14pm On Aug 29, 2021 |
raumdeuter: Yeah I think Sane can build on his displays from the left to get himself back into the team. Gnabry and Musiala are looking like first choice on the wings
You are right. Tolliso or Roca should move. What's your take on Sabitzer? He seems more like a Nagelsmann buy for me and one will have to be honest to admit we've kinda wrecked RB Leipzig this summer. He's solid don't get me wrong but was it a need? Because fully fit he probably starts from the bench. Guess we shall see. I'm not even bothered about mugu EPL clubs that pay combined 125million pounds for guys like Sancho and Konate and their fans come to Twitter and other forums to cry about Bayern. I'm more bothered about if he's a guy that can actually help us win the Champions League |

Roland17: The Jump was not particularly exciting for me. It lacked substantive debates or takes. Outside of the NFL and College Football, ESPN is in desperate need of good content all around. They need intelligent analysts that can break down plays and tell viewers something they do not know. Most of what I hear on the Jump and other ESPN basketball shows are things that every average basketball head should know. You don’t watch and say waooo that was insightful breakdown/ basketball knowledge.
Max is not built for TV in my opinion. I listen to him on ESPN radio in the afternoon here during my drives and he is a totally different animal. He would be switching to the KJZ morning show to replace Zubin who has been out for months now on health grounds. I think Max will continue to do well on radio. As for First Take, well, it would be hard for them to find another person to not only pair SAS but more importantly pay him. SAS says he want Magic but I don’t think that would be a good fit, also he would cost a lot. If you ask me, I will suggest Michael Irvin.. now, that will blow ratings off. Michael is just as intense and does not back down.
Michael Irvin will have to expand his knowledge of sports past the NFL as that is his shortcoming but I believe he can do it. When SAS started out, he was primarily a basketball head with a little bit of baseball but over the last decade he has evolved and can hold his own on most sports debate outside of the NBA. I definitely like Michael Irving. Something about Max and Stephen A just felt forced. I've seen Max with Marcellus and on Boxing but with First Take it's like he's trying to not outshine the boss or taking weaker arguments for the fuq of it. ESPN right now seems to be throwing a lot of sh*t on the wall trying to see which one sticks ESPN are being lazy and need to give younger guys real space to shine. They way they keep force feeding us Stephen A is tiresome. Anyway looking forward to the NFL season hopefully we see less of him in that time period |

raumdeuter: I still think Sane should be tried on the left side if we want to see anything from him. Though he wont be able to cut in nd shoot. Maybe he can dribble to the byline and cross
vs PSG one late chance he blew it by shooting with his right into the hands of Navas when Musiala was free in the box At the Euros late minute in one game I think vs Hungary, he blew the cross also Nagelsmann has officially moved him to the left and the numbers don't lie. Anyway I'm more excited about Musiala these days than Sane. Looks like Sabitzer might be coming. This must mean Roca or Tolisso have to leave. Unless they want to push him forward to compete with Mueller |

BlaiseBankss: Westbrook is a bad passer, yes he led the league in assists but you're forgetting he is the only player to pass over 300 turnovers last season with approx 5 turnovers per game.
AD is almost never fit, before Lakers in 2020 he had missed over 100 games to injuries. That's two full seasons in a 7 year career then.
Harden is more of an offensive threat than LeBron currently and Kyrie is harder to guard than AD.
Nets are not elite level defense oh but they're above league average and in 7 games they'll outscore Lakers 4 times. Lol Lebron is the all time leader in turnovers so bin this argument. High usage = High turnover unless you're efficient like CP3 AD's injury prone but not as bad as advertised. Kyrie's injury history is even worse so don't even ho there Lmaooo. Abeg offensive threat wey we no dey see for playoffs? Don't get me started on Harden. I've seen enough chokejobs to form an opinion. It's not about who is harder to guard. Who guards AD in Brooklyn? |

Roland17: Outside of the R. Nichols fallout, ESPN desperately needs to revamp its NBA content because it has been very poor. Over the last 5 years or more, they have struggled to come up with good shows/ contents for another sport that is not the NFL/ College Football. I thought they were going for end of season break. Just when I started getting used to seeing Malika Andrews fineass on there. Some thing must be wrong at ESPN because The Jump was one of their good shows. I was 100 percent behind Max getting off First Take cause I was sick and tired of Stephen A's loudmouth bullying but this one is a bit of a head scratcher |

A hard job just became harder He deserves every boo he can get. How do you lose possession every 4 mins and you're earning that wage in this COVID era. I don't know if Musiala has the pace to consistently play on the wings I would have advocated for Sane to be purely a sub. Sane, Coman and Gnabry were supposed to be the most dynamic wing trio in Europe ffs |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 9:59pm On Aug 23, 2021 |
BlaiseBankss: You want Westbrook to run an offense? With those amounts of turnovers? Defensive facilities? Like Lakers are an elite offensive team in the first instance, they're not.
The Lakers don't even have a defensive answer for Harden talkless Kyrie who can buy fouls or KD who can decide to drop 50 on 50-50-90
Plus AD is injury prone, let's just hope he stays fit sha.
And it's a lie BKN defense improved like hell during second half of the season. They had 102.5 vs Bucks that 7 game stretch. He is still an above average offense runner. You don't lead the league in assists without being good at running an offense They don't have to be. All I know is with their size they are definitely going to be a problem Hahaha this guy don't use laugh to kill me. Who is guarding Lebron or AD in Brooklyn? Who is their defensive answer for those 2? You're hoping. AD is injury prone but he is not going to be hurt every year Doesn't matter. They are still not an elite defense like the Lakers can be especially since they have a better defensively sound coach. |
