For the fact that Cavs is doing the Bayern of Eastern Conference doesn't rule out the conference. Afterall, they didn't get up to 60 wins, Warriors did. They didn't win 1st seed, you guys did.

We've all seen plenty teams in EC finals unlike West where it's either Spurs or Warriors for the past hundreds of years.

We also see more teams battling for playoff spot at the EC unlike the west. More teams are represented in the east. A large fraction of the years has seen the East having more .50 teams.

We also see less blowouts, less wins in the EC

We also watch more playoff games in the east before the finals, even this year with Cavs sweeping everybody.

You also lose your key players and still dominate teams. Look at Rockets, so called 3rd best team in the league or Warriors that went on a 13-0 run without Durant. That can't happen in the east, it gets tougher to adjust cos more competitive teams are looking to take your position e.g. Cavs when Love went out, Raptors when Lowry went out, Bulls when Rondo went out, etc.


So yeah, tough is relative

Nice touch with the Bayern example. I would point out though that the Cavs were under .500 against teams from the West. They lost to every single team that made the playoffs out West. Now imagine they had to face these guys 4 times a year. Now compare with the Warriors vs teams from the East. Even that 13-0 run you are referring to also included teams from the East

Since 2011 Mavs, Grizzlies, Rockets, OKC are all teams that have made the Conference Finals apart from Warriors and Spurs. I'm sure if we go to the East the variety isn't higher.

This is the 2nd Eastern Finals heading for a sweep in 3 seasons. Whereas you and I know the Warriors are not sweeping the Spurs if not for Kawhi's injury.

Many that couldn't see through what the Cavs were doing, relaxing during the regular season. LeBron is the best player in the NBA and is not even close. Many were hoping they for wizard in the finals as if they have any chance of getting a game against a serious Cavs team.

For me what this series has highlighted is that SIZE does matter. Your best player just can't be 5'7. IT has been phenomenal and unfortunately paying an undeserving Horford max means Isaiah would not take any less. However if you want to take the next step Isaiah cannot be the best player in your team. This is the dilemma for Ainge

People are not giving enough credit to the cavs defense in the first half - I dont care who they play like that, they wer going to open up a double digit lead.

some ppl are saying celtics are a btter matchup, others are saying wizards. I also think wizards are better, because all the bullying and physical plays celtics like to instigate dont do much against a big cavs team. But one thing is that celtics will punch you in the mouth, guaranteed, which is why they may be better for the cavs.

That's the thing the Cavs didn't even shoot well either. For a significantly less rusty team the Celts shot the ball terribly.

I saw the game in spurts but Isaiah looked real tentative. Shy to take it to the hoop with Tristan in the paint (not like I blame him) but you have to feel the size factor hurts the Celtics badly here. Plus they have nobody who can do a passable job guarding Lebron. Absolutely nobody.

We would see what happens Game 2. Maybe the shots fall and we have a closer game. But of all Lebron's trips to the Finals, these Celtics stand out for me as the most ill-equipped

Bros the thing tire me o! I stayed up all night till like 6am to watch a slug fest and JDS made the worst move he could do against Stipe... backing towards the cage. At the moment none of the top guys possess a good chin to eat and return bombs towards Stipe's chin. Maybe either of Derrick "Black beast" Lewis or Francis Ngannou in a year time can take on Stipe. James is a luxury player. Like an Aventador you drive to the club on Saturday night or church on Sunday, and if Di Maria a relative hardworker failed or did not get a chance to adapt I just don't know how James is going to do it.

There is no where comeback no fit happen my gee. Kawhi has played where they lost and missed games where they've won. The lead was more than healthy enough to hold on sans Kawhi. I'm actually pained by Kawhi's injury because I wanted to see how the Warriors respond to adversity this year.
