Is there any crops of midfielders currently playing in Europe that is half what Stefan Effenberg was at Bayern Munchen? Effenberg was a monster of a midfielder. He played central midfield like a quarter back. The mad tiger was a delight to watch. No midfielder like this anymore. Only Fabregas comes close but not as good.

That Watzke is a very silly fellow. Tuchel has legit beef starting with their summer dealings to the bomb incident. Even if Tuchel no come out talk am why would any sensible president allow his team partake in a match less than 24 hours after getting bombed.

In my opinion, i would keep Casey, it is not his fault his stars do not show up because they deficient in many aspects of the game that matter in the post season.

A change of culture would imply a change in the method of player recruitment especially free agents, change in how they play, and the change also means DeMar has to improve numerous aspects of his game. He is wayyyyy to predictable and has the heart of a worm on the court.

For a player his size, length, and with such wing span, he should be a better defender on the ball, especially 1v1. Also, 15 foot jump shots are never gong to make you great especially when you are the primary scorer for your team. He has to develop 3 point shooting, and stronger drive to the rim. A career defining summer workout awaits him, players like Kawahi, Harden, A. Bradley, M. Gasol are testimonies to how develop new skills either on offense or defense.

If they decide to keep DeMar, they would have to surround him with shooters/ scorers. Lowry wants to win a ring, and he has his eyes set on western conference because Lebron would continue to dominate the East. The Spurs, Pelicans, Rockets, Mavs (depending on what Cuban wants to do next season).

But don't you think the coach is also to blame for such a sharp drop in offense. Even Mark Jackson didn't do this badly in Golden State

They don't have a lot of cap room to play with unless they let Ibaka walk and find a mugu to dump Carroll on top. The amount of talent required to topple the Cavs is not readily available anyway so IMO they are stuck between tanking and the purgatory of being a good team but not a great one. I don't even know if Demar can change his game in the 9th inning. If a perimeter guy doesn't know that he ought to have a 3pt game in today's NBA then I don't know. The positive with him is his durability and consistency.

I believe we can easily agree that as of this season, the Rockets are the 4th best team in the NBA, in contrast to OkC who relatively played through the wire all season.

Letting Casey go might be an option. The drop in offense from regular season to playoffs is grotesque. Unless they want to tank no point moving DeRozan IMO. Letting Ibaka walk and finding a way to dump Carroll is their best shot. Whatever they do they are not beating the Cavs next year bar a Lebron injury so no point overreacting

LMAOOO. The choke job is in. Barry Trotz's decision to demote Ovechkin to the 3rd line has paid off thus far, this was the same change i wanted Joel Quenneville to make to the Blackhawks line.

I don't know if the move was genius or out of sheer desperation. Truth be told Ovechkin has been a non-factor, guys like Backstrom, Kuznetsov had played a lot better regardless. The cracks were there but most of we Penguins fans took it for granted. Too many shots were being conceded. Tbh I'd take Sanchez over Griezmann cos of his versatility. I strongly doubt Martial would be sold and if he was he would never go that cheap.

He actually dropped 8 dimes yesterday. That 3pt shooting is still where the trouble is at. He is not even attempting it. Which means he is not working on it. But simple Maths suggests he is playing himself if he is serious about winning

£55m is a lot of money! It all boils down to if Costa is leaving and how much we make off of him to cover such huge outlay. But the more I look at it the more it looks like a move we might need to make. Though older is a much more versatile fix than Griezmann.

What's your position on Gnabry? He has had a solid year for Bremen and might be one to look at in a season or two. I'm very biased to guys on the wings who won't just create but score Goals
