It seems no matter how smart you are the foolishness inherent in being a Chelsea fan would catch up with you

See ibime that has a first class in Mathematics

Boateng is bad, he conceded 5 goals vs Madrid a team who won the CL over 2 legs
Bonnuci is good, he conceded 6 goals vs Bayern who didnt win the CL over 2 legs

Boateng is bad, he conceded 5 goals vs Barcelona over 180mins
Bonnuci is good, he conceded 3goals vs the same Barcelona over 90mins

"If Boateng was playing for Italy, they would have conceded", But Bonnuci was playing for Italy on Saturday and still conceded a goal (Not a Penalty)

So you see how he has been floored with his own logic, I have lost count of how many times he would be owned
The argument dey very baffling because I dey wonder how him take jump to that conclusion.

What was Bonucci organising? Its Mueller I blame sha. Otherwise watcanfa iranu

Boateng conceded 5 goals in 180 mins to Barcelona

Mr ibime can you tell us how many goals your better Bonnuci conceded against the same barcelona in 90mins in the final

Massive misses. Not sure why Khedira is always injured at critical stages like these. Options boku in central defence and attack, its the middle that worries me. I am not sure who is going to partner Kroos there. Even if Schweini was 100 percent I doubt he would be able to hang with the energetic French midfield. Most likely Loew would have to decide between Can and Weigl on who to partner Kroos. Can has the energy but the positional discipline is suspect, I am more intrigued by Weigl the only problem is he has not seen a minute, I really do wish Loew had found time to squeeze either of these guys into the lineup at earlier stages but it is what it is.

We might have to do an Italian job on France. I don't know if a 3 man back line would work, I'd much rather play with 4

------------Neuer----------

--Kimmich----Boateng---Hoewedes---Hector

---------Kroos-----Can/Weigl------

Mueller---------Oezil------Draxler

------------Goetze------

OR

------------Neuer----------

--Kimmich----Boateng---Hoewedes---Hector

---------Kroos-----Can/Weigl------

Schuerrle---------Oezil------Draxler

------------Mueller---------

Someone has to account for Griezmann at all times. He is by far their most dangerous player. Aside that the French defense is softer than Charmin tissue watched them struggle vs Romania, Ireland and even Iceland

They would be the ones under the most pressure. Have to take advantage of that somehow. They would use ishan to sing National anthem like Brazil did and Italy last night as well, but we all know its not by that one. Tough match but doable

Boateng is a good defender but our friends in Bayern hype him up to be the greatest.

We only see Boateng playing for teams that dominate the ball so his best quality (pace) is always on display to stop counterattacks.

Put Boateng under real pressure and you see him collapse like when Madrid and Barca were flogging him 5-0 and 7-0.

Take this game today. If you put Boateng in Bonuccis position in the Italy team, having to defend under pressure for 120 mins, you will see the difference between a born organised defender like Bonucci and a scatter brain like Boateng. Boateng in Italy team today would have conceded goals.
Why do you people keep making this mistake? Loew, Pep, Jupp and Ancelotti that keep playing Boateng week in week out are they phools??

There's a reason why he is an indispensable member of both his National Team and clubside which are among the best in the game. We are talking about a National Team and clubside that are ruthless with players that don't perform so explain why they stick with Boateng?

Do you think it is possible to dominate the ball without defenders who can push up where needed like Boateng? Who are comfortable on the ball and join the midfield where necessary? You can try it with your John Racist, Garri Cahill, Phil Jones, Smalldini and let us see the results

Lol when did Bayern lose 7-0 to any team? If you are talking about the Madrid tie I hope you know 3 out of Madrid's 5 goals came from set pieces, Even with una bunker pattern Atletico were still steady knacking you akpako and your Chelsea with the likes of John Racist and Ivanovic were losing to teams from South America. There is no style that would not expose you to the odd humiliation, However with defenders like Boateng you are likelier to play a pattern of football that dominates possession and puts your defense under less pressure.

This Bonucci you are hyping has chopped 10 goals in 4 matches vs Bayern Munich and has no International achievement of note. Despite playing in a much more defensive setup.

GBR1:
I agree with the entirety of this. TBH Boateng is a good defender but just not as good as the Bayern folks make out. He has his weaknesses but less it's less than that of most defenders. Currently there aren't a lot of good defenders and he's comfortably one of the best.

Most defenders that excel in a high line and dominating teams like Pique, Boateng don't necessary do well in other systems that don't play to their strengths and fumble in occurrences contrary to that they're used to but that doesn't make them bad defenders because act of defending has much evolved much in these modern times.

Raumdeuter and co set a very bad precedent by stating Terry (who was as good as a defender you could get his in prime) was bad. This left a very bad taste in the mouths of Chelsea and some other EPL fans who now in turn refuse to accept Boateng as good and demean him at every opportunity. The story could be longer than this, as far as i know.
This shyte is not as easy as it looks. You cannot play the way Bayern and Barca play without defenders like Pique, Boateng and when you talk about system I am waiting for you people to show us a more successful system in the last decade or so. Put Smalling, Cahill, John Racist and other bunker defenders in Barca or Bayern and see how stewpid they would look. We saw it with John Racist under AVB and he led a mutiny in less than half a season

Anything wey anybody like make he accept but the results are there on the pitch for all to see. He is playing another semifinals while the so called better defenders are at home biting their nails

Boateng isn't organised enough to bunker. He cannot anticipate or position himself in those situations eg a striker making a quick dart to the near post from a lateral cross or cutback.

That's what Bonucci did dozens of times tonight.

If it is to chase a striker for a 50 yard through ball that he can see from a mile away, then he is good at that one.

Anything involving constant concentration, positioning and organisation, he is below par.

All these matches you mentioned were dominated by Bayern and he had nothing to do besides chasing strikers in a foot race.

That's why you see him conceding 5 goals when Barca put him on backfoot.
You would think Bonucci did the bunkering all by himself with no help. Bonucci ko Bone Thugs and Harmony ni

The block on Mueller's goal bound shot I am sure it was Bonucci that also did that, Bonucci also saved the Gomez attempt ba?

There are few teams that would not concede 5 goals vs last year's Barca in 180 minutes of football. I am not quite sure what this proves

timbros:
It would have been nil nil if the referee spotted the offside in the buld up to Germany's goal.
You are the first person I don see wey bring up offside for that goal. How on earth was Gomez offside? This una bad belle I wonder

KD is just wasting all this team time.
instead of going after Durant, that will remain in OKC all this team should have been after the next best wing in FA.
Boston are a well drilled team. They just need more scoring and less load on Thomas. Already they have strengthened while the Hawks and Heat have gone weaker, the Hornets have also lost Lin, Lee and Jefferson. They were a 48 win team last year, i'm pretty sure they would do better this year. Plus they still have space for another max deal. Cavs are still the faves but who else can boldly say they are better than Boston?

I'm really suprised you guys didn't go for a guy like Deng, I doubt K.D is coming but if he does then it would be worth it. If not you guys just need a desperate veteran who can contribute. Also thought both defences were great on the night(Boateng,Bonucci,Barzagli,Chiellini,Hummels). I reckon only over confidence and complacency would prevent the Germans from lifting the trophy as I don't think you'll face a team as tactically astute as the Italians are. And I certainly will be cheering you guys on now.

To my Azzuri boys, could not be more proud of the lads than I am tonight. I Gave them no chance whatsoever before the tournament started and boy did they prove me wrong. They could not have given any more than they did tonight considering the quality of the squad Conte had at his disposal. Massively proud of the lads.

FORZA ITALIA!

You also have a point. But if you watched both their eras, you are likely to clearly place Malone ahead of dirk.

Malone in terms of physic, strength, power was only bested by shaq for several years. Malone was so stronnnng, God damn it.

In terms of muscle and all I mentioned above, he was to his position all through his era, what Lebron has been to his position for past years.

As tough as Dennis rodman and Charles Barkley were as power forwards, Malone made them look like kids in the paint, in terms of defence and offence.

Guess what, he was also very defensive. 3times all defensive 1st team. I doubt dirk was ever considered for a defensive team. Malone looked so heavy, but he could leap for dunks and blocks so effortlessly. Only problem is that he never looked athletic due to his over-muscular frame.

Malone is 2nd all time nba scoring leader. Hope you know that. I love olajuwon, but hope you know olajuwon won those 2rings when Jordan decides to play baseball? Hence you can't give him credit of winning them in Jordan's era. He won them "in between Jordan's ERAS".

Malone dominated his era much more than dirk did. Do you know that for like 9 or 10 straight seasons, Malone was in all NBA 1st team? I believe that's a longer stretch than dirk had.

Malone had some wonderful seasons. There was one that stood out. That was in 1998 season. He led the jazz to sweep the Lakers. The Lakers had clearly the better team that season. The had 4 baaad aaas allstars in Shaq, Eddie Jones, nick van exel and a young Kobe(though a bench player still then).

The Lakers were hot and strong that year. Eddie Jones was really good and so was shaq. Eddie Jones was benching Kobe as at then.

The Lakers had a great bench in Eddie Campbell, derrick fisher and Kobe.

But for yet - to - explained reasons, the jazz swept Lakers.
This isn't as easy as lebron's cavs sweeping Atlanta. The Lakers were really good. That was Lakers best season since 1990.

Dirk had a good shooting technique, but so did Malone.

Well, its debatable no doubt. But I put Malone clearly ahead of Malone. How do you explain all NBA 1st team? And other two seasons around those years he wasn't there, he was in 2nd second team.

Malone was a hybrid of a Tim Duncan(fundamentals, technique) and SHAQ (body dominance). That's a deadlest combo iv ever seen in a forward.

The closest I have seen having this combo is Karl Anthony Towns. But I'm just so scared he may play soft, cause he's too nice, humble and respectful.

Malone was a beast.
It depends on what appeals to you as a lover of the game. You might like brute force and power and I might like technique and finesse.

Dirk has dominated the league in his own unique way. He has a move that has been labelled unguardable. Its a common joke that the NBA ought to change its logo to his patented one legged fadeaway, you know you have been dominant when your competitors are trying to learn your move with varying degrees of success. From Kobe to LeBron to K.D the list is endless

They even met head to head to head in the playoffs and guess who ran out winners? Dirk

Talking about defense. Dirk was no defensive stopper but he played much better defense than people give him credit for and in his prime years gave you 8-10 rebounds a game. Much better 3pt shooter and free throw shooter too

I would not even talk about the fact that Malone had the privilege of playing with an all-time top 3 PG in John Stockton all his career while Dirk has mostly played with a young Nash and a past his prime Jason Kidd for less than half his career

When you talk of dominance it is also necessary to consider the caliber of competition you are facing. You brought up ALL-NBA First team appearances well In Dirk's early years he contended with Duncan, K.G, Webber etc. In the latter stages of his career you had LeBron, K.D also entering the picture. So his not making the list isn't as much lack of dominance but more on the tightness of the competitionn. He was either in the First or second team from 02-2011 and that is no mean feat

I wouldn't call Eddie Jones and Nick Van Exel badass. They were good but compare to Dirk who swept the two time defending Champion Lakers, Or beating the Spurs on their home floor in 06, A 3 time Champion over the last 6 seasons prior to when they met the Mavs for that matter.

The legendary German is too underrated and of all the guys he frequently gets compared with he has done the most with the least.

Go and check Dirk's numbers in playoff competition. Only Dirk, Hakeem, Pettit have averaged more than 25 points and 10 rebounds in the playoffs

In 14 elimination games he has scored 30 or more points, which ties him with Jerry West for most all time. Of the top 100 elimination game performances in the last 20 years, Nowitzki has had the best performances in 8 of them, more than any other player in the NBA. Dirk is arguably one of the most clutch performers of all time.

Free Baba Dirk na Legend. Me I choose him over Malone

I'm amazed as to how the Mavs GM still has a job. He is yet to draft a consistent contributor in years and has been shooting bricks in free agency, if they can't find decent talent to help Dirk wind down his last 2 years or so I suggest he joins the Warriors.
