When it comes to these kind of stuff I just think you need to see yourselves as a team. There are no I's or egos involved. Everybody play your role. So if you are a man that is home all day while your wife is at work please enter kitchen and cook for both of you. You won't die I promise you

As a woman the truth is no matter how rich you are the man is still your Ade ori.

People don't really understand that for better for worse thing. Me self never understand am finish na why I never marry

These ego-trips and quarrels are usually as a result of either one or both parties not playing their role. There are many homes where the woman is the breadwinner and everything odinma.

I do think as the man though you have to provide the minimum or at least hold your side no matter what. Even Dangote's daughter would respect you when you do that

Everything still boils down to seeing each other as a teammate. When you see each other that way you just do stuff without being prompted either as man or a woman

Many women still want to feel their husbands are the main providers- not to feel they are totally dependant on them. Unfortunately, resentment tends to fester below, which can eat away the relationship.
Each situation is different, so it’s hard to generalize, and I am glad there are women making more than men- my point is when the rift is too big…
There should be Respect and mutual consideration in JOINT decision-making, irrespective of who bring the cheddars home.
Sexuality is based on respect, admiration and desire, it becomes a problem to some women when a man seems like a child, and it’s not that attractive.
According to psychologists (and divorce lawyers) who see couples struggling with such changes, many relationships follow the same pattern. First, the wife starts to lose respect for her husband, then he begins to feel emasculated, and then sex dwindles to a full stop.
Do women turn to dummies when their husbands are successful?Do they suppress their voice or their rights? It is highly exaggerated especially here on NL. How many women can attest that they play both roles? Many successful women I know always talk about one thing, food and sex. Their husbands want their food cooked by their wives, and I see nothing wrong with this.
I am not saying you should cook after a long day at work but if I know my husband only eats my food and it was no problem for me cooking his meals prior my "success", I can easily find a way of cooking during weekends and storing it in the freezer. I don’t see a man coming back from work and finds his house clean, clothes washed and worry about who did the cleaning. Some women feel that her success in earning more than her husband as a scale to make her the head of the family. You and I know that gender roles in the society and in traditional marriage, the man is seen as a bread-winner and the woman as a housekeeper. Even though as time evolves and women are becoming achievers, I don’t think it should change their roles as wife, care givers and mothers.
True story, a family friend’s wife who happens to be a bank manager, one day during a heated argument- told him that does he expect her a bank manager to come back from work and cook for him? Does he know the calibre of people she meets and interacts with everyday at work? The calibre of People that respect her and address her with utmost regard? Just because the poor man asked her to make something to eat for them, and not that he has been home either. What happens to just saying, I am very tired baby, can we order? How many men will start reading their cvs to their wives when they don’t meet dinner? The least that can happen is that man asking her what did she do the whole day? Or call her lazy.
Many women feel that in order to lead they have to be controlling and, very strict in order to earn respect unlike the male folks. They develop a masculine approach and fail to understand that when it comes to home front, they are wives, partners and not bosses.
Very interesting post. The funny part was the bank manager lady. Now if the same man gets another woman to start cooking for him she would start having palpitations

I am sure Chamberlain has had a season as this before. It is the beauty of padded stats. I am not saying Coman is not a good player. But by end product I mean his general finishing is very weak. If one was to look at the stats for example, I can guarantee 4 of his assists will come in games that Bayern scored say 3 or more goals and his assist may even be the last (which means the game was already sealed). Not taking anything away from him but just showing you how stats don't tell the whole story.
You are shifting the goal post now. From zero end products to padded stats. At least we are making progress

Nope. Chamberlain has never had the season Coman is having. In fact if you add up all his assists combined in the CL it is not up to what Coman managed this season. Bear in mind Coman is almost 3 years younger. So no they are nothing alike

Now talking about your padding stats I can also say Suarez, Messi and Ronaldo are the biggest stats padders of all. Scoring the 3rd, 4th and 5th goal in an 8-0 rout of Deportivo Coruna is not stats padding?

6 goals and 11 assists for a winger at 19 is not beans. Such a player cannot be accused of lacking end product

Eruditor:
Your second statement just typifies it- his delivery let him down yesterday.
A 19 year old winger cannot have an off day?

Eruditor:
As for the team Pep has met, you beat what's in front of you. Jupp finished equal points with Valencia group stages with Bate and Lille and barely beat Arsenal in both legs. But he swept Barca. Football can be that way. Jupp played Basel and Marseille too before RM in 2012. Basel and Marseille are not exactly teams to dance about and RM was on penalties which Pep can still do with ATM.
He topped the group winning the head to head vs the team that finished directly behind him. We had a close shave with Arsenal but he learned from his mistake and rolled out 5 straight wins. When has Guardiola done that in knockout competitions?

Jupp got to two finals in two years. If Pep is all that let him get us to just one in 3 attempts

1. I explained the similarities- 1D dribbling and zero end product. I am not saying he doesn't have a bright future. Just showing that like every Juvenile player he tends to do what he has made up his mind to do and not necessarily what the game demands. On so many occasions he tried to beat Luis for pace or just dribble to the right but it was a big fiasco. Anyone watching the game would have seen it. Again why analytics don't tell the whole story always.
A 19 year old with 6 goals and 11 assists in under 2000 minutes of football has zero end product? I need to know your own definition of end product

He actually did beat Luis a few times, what let him down was his delivery

Eruditor:
2. Both Costa and Coman were playing nonsense but Costa more so because he was in an unnatural position playing as a left footed winger and he was constantly getting double and sometimes triple-teamed. Coman had majorly Luis to contend with all game and he flopped until the latter parts when Luis tired. When Costa was moved to coman's wing, he was at least able to put in 2 decent crosses with his weaker foot.

Costa's default wing since joining Bayern has been on the left. If Robben were fit that is where he would still play

Costa's decision making and Bernat being such an average fullback offensively made it pretty easy to double team Costa which begged the question. Why did Bernat start?
4. Ribery reminds me of Neymar alot and that's because they're not dangerous enough seeing that both are not exactly very direct. But I would have started Ribery and Costa and brought on Coman as the sub since he seems to play better when the opposing defenders had tired out. I would have used Ribery's trickery to tire them out and even get Juanfran yellow-carded.
I have no qualms with Ribery not starting. His form has been abysmal and was a wasted sub tbh. He really needs to go by the end of the season

Don't forget Ribery is also quite temperamental and could easily be the one picking up the cards

Eruditor:
5. As for Ancelloti, We have next season to rate him. Hopefully he will be there long enough to rate him over 3 seasons. See Lucho with a wonderful squad who couldn't get to back to back semis in the UCL. I doubt pep knows what it is like to leave before the semis in his whole managerial career.
Since joining Bayern Pep's road to the semis have been Arsenal, Man U under Moyes, Donetsk, Porto, Juve and Benfica. Aside Juve I don't see any team on that list I should be dancing ijo yoyo about.
When we brought Pep the expectation was not to jubilate mauling weaker opponents. It was to compete and perhaps produce a dynasty

A40,
I watched that same game. Coman didn't play well all game. Pep had already given signals that he wanted him off before we saw him make those 2 runs (that did not lead to a final ball, goal or an assist). Coman couldn't beat Felipe Luis all game and his crossing was atrocious! Infact the moments you are referring to as him playing well should go to Lahm (who in my opinion was one of the best players on the pitch-if not the best). Lahm made the decisions for Coman, and coman who reminds me of chamberlain, effed it up with his 1D dribbling and without end product.
Coman is nothing like Chamberlain so I don't get the comparison. Chamberlain never led the CL assists chart in his career like Coman is doing at Bayern in just his first season. Back to the game Coman was playing much better than Costa and was taking on Atleti players in our best spell of the game. You mean Pep that needed 70mins to take out an ineffectual Thiago could not wait for even 5 minutes to see what Coman's moves would have led to in a period where we were putting Atleti under pressure?

Oya tell us the impact of Ribery his replacement and what he did besides almost costing us the tie

You have also not told me his rationale for benching Müller in a game like this

Eruditor:
As for Mou and Carlo, it is quite funny. Carlo could not get past the Quarter finals UCL since 2008 until 2014 and he didn't win a league title in Spain. Mou went trophyless 2014, did well 2015 and almost got his team relegated in 2016. If you feel these are the coaches to win the same amount of trophies with Pep in Bayern, then there's no point debating it.
Yeah I'm sure Pep would have done very well with that geriatric Milan team. In 2010 he lost to the same Inter that beat Pep's Barca so?

And yes he didn't win the league but he won both the Copa Del Rey and CL

Ancelotti would win multiple leagues and DFB Pokal titles with this Bayern squad braah let's leave sentiments at the door. The pertinent question is why does Guardiola want to lose to all 3 Spanish teams? Must he always have the best squad to compete?

Conman played "nsi" today. But Bro A40 wanted Conman to start. You didn't criticise Pep for that one. Asking for Mueller to start is just analytics. Yes he is the top scorer. Yes he scored 4 goals in the KO stages. But nothing suggested this would have been his game.
chrisley024:
Removing Coman for Ribery was wrong
This was posted by a neutral. Funny enough Coman was arguably our best player at the time he was removed. He played much better than Douglas

Easy for you to talk about analytics because you are a Pep fan not a Bayern fan. I will like to see you display this restraint when you get to another CL semi and Munir is started ahead of a fully fit Luis Suarez

When someone gets into his car to go to work nothing suggests they will come back alive, but they go anyway. Right?

Eruditor:
I saw Lewa frustrated out of his skin. I saw over a thousand bad crosses from the wingers including Costa. Even at that Bayern held their own and may have been fortuitous to pull a draw. Takes nothing away from Pep. Football is over 2 legs. After all, Lucho played MSN and still flopped. Winning the UCL back to back is not beans.
This is the 3rd straight CL semi we have failed to score away from home. You can blame that on ill luck and coincidence but A-40 is a Method Man and I don't hang my hat on that.

It takes a lot from Pep and it means that faced with the same test he has failed yet again to score a single goal against opposition that have proven good enough to score on away ground. For the 3rd year in a row!!

Eruditor:
If Pep beat Real Madrid that would have been back to back titles for Bayern which is unprecedented. The following year no team was going to beat Barcelona no matter who you are- Bayern inclusive. Not saying he hasn't made some mistakes but it is not to the tune that it is being exaggerated on here. Today, Bayern made a fair representation of themselves and have it all to play for at the Allianz.
How about not lose scandalously in front of your fans? Did you know we had never lost at home to Madrid prior to that match? Even in the latter days of Kahn, Brazzo, Lizarazu the days of Makaay, Ze Roberto when we were struggling in Europe

Whether we could have beaten Barca is moot. There's a reason the games are played. Abi what changed from last year that saw you guys get knocked out? If Atleti did not believe they could beat Barca they wouldn't have. They had every reason to just quit when the draws were made

Eruditor:
See Lucho now, almost looking like he may not do back to back La Liga titles, but Pep did 3 peat with Barca and he is on course to doing same with Bayern. If any Carlo, Mou or Wenger could do it, Bayern won't have tried to offer Pep a new €18M per year contract.
Mou and Carlo will do 3 peat with this Bayern squad no point arguing with anyone who feels otherwise

Lucho cannot do back to back with Simeone's Atleti on his neck so easily. The competition is stiffer

Eruditor:
All hope is not lost second leg. Allianz has been a centre for correcting past mistakes this season. Atleast Dortmund, Wolf, Arsenal are some of the teams that ate 5. These are teams that recently had good runs at the same venue. Sabali.
Have you seen Atleti's record? Only Celta Vigo have scored more than 2 goals against them all season.

We are still in it but nothing suggests Pep has learned from his past phuckups. And his stay at Bayern would be a disappointment without a CL win or Final

What's higher than treble? I don't get your point. Do you realize the state Bayern was in when Jupp was hired?

Which one is "this guardiola guy"? Atletico has always been a hard nut to crack. Mueller is a fine player and if he has started him earlier, you should expect more aerial balls which wouldn't work against them cos they so know how to defend that. You have always questioned Pep's tactics, like him or not. He has tried and you wouldn't judge simply cos of CL.

Was it Pep's fault those players picked up needless cards? Was it Pep's fault Neuer left his duty post to lift up a player? We should be realistic with our criticisms. They intentionally frustrated Bayern players in the later period and they fell for it.

Jan Oblak has played 67 matches for Athletico conceding 40 goals and keeping 39 cleans sheets
Hard nut to crack does not translate to unbeatable. We needed an away goal not that laughable lineup he put out to start the match. There is nothing worse than looking at a lineup and knowing the game is lost before a ball is even kicked.

Sorry but aerial balls aren't Mueller's only strengths. Not bringing him on till the 70th minute? Your top CL scorer with 4 CL semifinal goals? Would you be happy to see Suarez fit and left on the bench in the Champions League semifinals?

What was Bernat doing on the pitch? How much service did Lewandowski get? Abeg make we talk for where talk dey. I defended his arrival when he was hired but he has been a massive disappointment. I will judge him based on CL. We might be losing our 3rd straight semi to a Spanish team and you say we shouldn't judge him based on CL? Wetin make we take judge am? Possession?

No one is blaming Pep directly but those fouls were the hallmark of a frustrated side that was not setup to win a football game from the get-go

Today the big day. Everyone trained bar Robben and Badstuber. I like our chances. I'd go with

Lahm--Benatia--Javi--Alaba

-----Alonso---Vidal----

-------Müller------

Coman---Lewandowski---Costa

OR

Lahm--Benatia--Javi--
Alaba

-----Alonso---Vidal----

-------Götze------

Ribery---Müller---Costa

Alonso has to start cos of the quality of his deliveries IMO. I also fancy Coman's unpredictability vs an error prone Filipe Luis

Godin their heart and soul at the back is absent. We have to take advantage

And please no monkey business at the back. I'm looking at you Alaba and Benatia

I predict a score draw or slim Bayern win

Madrid Munich Milan in that order. Time to redeem yourself Pep

That was some serious blitzkrieg by the Hawks.

Clippers probably done but stranger things have happened

Lool at Drake trolling Paul George. The Raptors are a massive disappointment can't believe I picked them to win in 5. If only Indy had anyone besides Paul George

Do you mean this Westbrook? undecided

Game 1 - 24pts 11assists
Game 2 - 19pts 6 assists
Game 3 - 26pts 15 assists
Game 4 - 25pts 15 assists
Game 5 - 36pts 9 assists

OR Durant's 26ppg? Surely his twin, no?

OR the fact that the Thunder only loss was by 1 point while their average win was 23points? undecided

What were you expecting? A sweep and each player dropping 30 every game?
Was obviously talking about their antics not their numbers. KD throwing elbows and behaving weirdly. I had a lot of respect for him till this series.

you must've been praying for him to injure before. grin
Its just two weeks, the warriors are strong enough to beat the blazers or the clippers without curry.
Maka why? I have no beef with Chris Paul

I'm actually hoping the Spurs obliterate OKC. Westbrook and Durant displayed very little class in the previous round

Saw the Curry scenario coming. The positive is there is still hope he will return. The injury to Chris Paul however has knocked the Clippers out of contention. Massive blow! A few of their fans were giddy after Curry went down now its their turn and they might not even make it past the Blazers (I don't even think they will)

This definitely has to be the most competitive first round in history

If you are a Warriors fan time to rip out your Rip City gear and hope that series drags till Game 7

Eruditor:
Curry was the one bugging to be played since game 1. I doubt Kerr wanted to rush him back. Be that as it may, the Knee sprain was not as a result of being rushed back. JVG (who was one of the commentators for the game) said Curry had complained to the ref just moments before he slipped that that patch of the court was wet but they could not stop the game until the ball was off the court or a timeout was called. If you observed the slip, that 25 year old Houston white kid (I forget his name) slipped at the same spot during the fast break and then Curry followed suit seconds after.

My prayer now is that the Clippers vs Blazers game tarries longer so that Curry can get the much needed rest he needs. I totally prefer a sprained Knee to a sprained ankle considering his history with that Ankle.

Side bar: Iggy had a big game yesterday. He seems to be a big game player.
I know its not connected to the ankle strain but shutting Curry down for the series would reduce the distraction and allow everybody to get locked in. Nobody is talking about the fact that they broke a 3pt record. Or how well Livingston has been playing in his absence or how good a Game 4 Iguodala had. The narrative is Curry's injury, that's not a good look IMO. Not that I blame the Warriors for this but shutting Curry would put the spotlight on the other players
