Sagamite: Let me argue like this moronic person called A-40.

"Michael Owen is greater than Alan Shearer. Owen played for bigger teams like Liverpool, Real Madrid, Man U and Newcastle.

Who did Shearer play for? Did Red Star Belgrade or Nottingham Forrest come and buy him? Or you want to compare Blackburn and Newcastle to those 2 great clubs?

Did Shearer even play outside England?

What international competition did Shearer win? Owen won the UEFA Cup for Liverpool, and even the UEFA Super Cup where he scored a goal and was Man of the Match.

Owen also scored 40 goals for England while Shearer only scored 30.

Shearer only won 1 league title in his career, Owen won 1 league title, 1 FA Cup, 3 League Cups, 2 FA Community Shields, 1 UEFA Cup and 1 UEFA Super Cup.

Owen is greater than Shearer."

The ratiocination of a pure person! And the person has a right to vote. undecided
You really are an idi0t!! Ohh my goodness how can one human being be such a knobhead
I admit you have improved enough by bringing in a sensible player at least now I know I am imparting some intelligence on you. Alas all hope is not yet lost
But sorry you are wrong again!! Owen is better than Shearer
Are you serious?? Owen was a phucking goal-machine!! If not for injuries who knows how good he really would have been
When Shearer wins the Balon D'or and scores in 4 consecutive major tournaments by all means get back to me

Hahahahaha phuck outta here with that phoolish comparison! Phuck outta here

Sagamite: You are a person!

I knew your moronic arsse would see your folly and moronically stick with defiance. Like a typical person Nigerian product of a failed education system. Cretin! grin grin grin
Someone's vocabulary that is limited to person and cretin is talking about an education system? Shut the phuck up puta!!

Sagamite: So according to you then Liverpool is a bigger club than Barcelona and Man U since they have won more CLs.
Surely you must be an illiterate on a wind up mission. Bilewu! Show me where I said Liverpool is bigger than Barcelona.
You must be suffering from tunnel-vision!! You are comparing teams that have won the tournament to each other I'm comparing one that has won it to another that has not won it at all!!

Sagamite: Any player playing for Liverpool is playing for a bigger club than a player playing for Barcelona.
Any player playing for Nottingham Forrest, Red Star Belgrade or Steaua Bucuresti today is playing for a bigger club than someone playing for Arsenal, Roma, Valencia, PSG, Man City, CSKA Moscow, Lazio, Werder Bremen, Atletico Madrid, Dynamo Kiev or Lyon.
Foool!
Lemme spin your analogy on you! You simple minded piece of farm compost cos only a tarado like you would use present history to judge the greatness of a player or club! So if Fabio Cannavaro is playing for Al-Said that means he is a useless player
Can you see now that you are ret@rded?
Or do you need more empirical evidence

Sagamite: I am so good at proving people are fucktards! grin
Fucktards always struggle with analogies. That is how you spot a person. If Onyali wins Olympics, she is likely to have run a faster time, so she would be better, cretin.
What a wasteman!! There are numerous other reasons Onyali could win e.g she coulda run a slower time and still won unless you are trying to tell us all fastest times are run at Olympics grin grin grin
Hahahaha each time you try to come up you wind up coming up missing

Even Uncle Phil is laughing at you. Bwahahahaha

Sagamite: You are a person!

Let me dice you one-by-one so you don't hide your fucktardism under long posts.

We will come back to the Zico and 60s parity of League idiocy afterwards for more dicing of a person suya.
Bring it on you phucking farm-tool let me shoot you with your own bullet.

Sagamite: You moronic arsse said like a pure person that Nottingham Forrest is a bigger club than Arsenal purely because Nottingham Forrest has won more international cups than Arsenal.
Your cretinous arsse made this moronic claim despite the fact that Arsenal has won 13 League titles (3rd highest in England) in comparison to Nottingham Forrest's 1 League title, and Arsenal's 10 FA Cups (2nd Highest in England) in comparison to Nottingham Forrest's 2 FA Cups.
What a douche! If Blessing Okagbare wins 100 Mobil Track and Field Championships and Mary Onyali wins 1 Olympic gold medal! Who would be remembered as greater?
When Arsenal win just one Champions League title I would gladly retract my statement

Sagamite: All that and the fact that Arsenal has more finances, has more superstars playing for it and has more success in the last 20 years did not matter to your daft arsse. According to a person like you, "Nottingham Forrest has won 2 Champions League that makes them a bigger club than Arsenal, period".
They have more finances? And? Anzhi Makachala has finances so does Man City does that make them greater than Porto or Benfica?
Success my arse! They are approaching their 8th year without a trophy. So much for a big club

Sagamite: So, by logical inference, Liverpool in your person world that has won 5 Champions League must be a bigger club than Barcelona that has won a mere 4 Champions League.

Liverpool must even be a bigger club than Man U that has won a measly 3 Champions League too. Isn't it? Fooooool!

Cretin, can you see how dumb you are now?
I didn't say bigger you Ekwensu! Akpasusu! I said they where peers!! Of a truth you are not smarter than a used tampon. As far as onfield success goes they are peers!! Unlike you I'm not foooled by their recent successes
Commercial revenue, funds, stars come and go but the trophies stay!!! So any sensible person would attach more premium on trophies!

debosky: ^^

I don't quite understand the critique either - 5 goals in the last 3 games, and he provided the assist for the equaliser too.

Yes he could've scored more, but so could Theo, and even Per/TV5 who had decent chances as well.

None of the goals we conceded were even close to being special - if we cut out the insane defensive cock-ups then we wouldn't be here talking about a draw.

As for DK, I don't know what he is making noise about - Gibbs or anyone else being out of the CL tie will make no difference to us knocking Bayern out. After all, we beat Barca that is 1,000,000 times better than Bayern at the Emiraati a couple of years ago with Johann Djourou in central defence. cheesy

Roland17: Finally the Grizzlies trade Rudy Gay and Haddadi to the Raptors in a three team trade agreement, the Grizzlies would receive Ed Davies and J. Calderon, Calderon would then be traded to the pistons for Prince and Austin Daye who would head to the Grizzlies.
That's not really a smart move from a contender perspective! Maybe from a financial angle it makes more sense! But we can pretty much strike the Grizzlies out of the list of contenders now

Josh Smith might get traded too

Sagamite: You are a person!

Any cretin that says Nottingham Forrest is a bigger club than Arsenal is a person!

Any cretin that says Liverpool is a bigger club than Barcelona or Real Madrid is a person!
Dejo Tumfulu doesn't know when to stop. Can you please show where I said Liverpool is bigger than Barcelona never mind Madrid? You must suffer Tourette's syndrome or one very rare disease that phucks with your mental coordination
Get back to me when Arsenal become a one-time European Champion never mind two

Sagamite: Football teams are judged by their history and current standings in the world of intelligent people. Their history is not restricted to wins, you bloody cretin, people or teams coming second or third are not small because they did not win except to a cretin!
Are you jotting that education down, fooool!
You are not even consistent with your arguments! No club can remain dominant forever that is where history comes in!!
Sports is cyclical you tarado! 2nd is not the winner and no one remembers 3rd
So going by your ret@rded definition Man City,Leverkussen,Tottenham don't even fit that description

Sagamite: You are a person!
Continue quoting what they won more than 30 years ago and say that makes them a big club today! Cretin!
Has Uruguay not won more consistently than Holland and Portugal?
So Uruguay is a bigger footballing team than Holland or even Portugal?
Cretin!
Try telling the English that won their last World Cup almost 50 years ago that it doesn't count! Try telling Italy that won 4 World Cups before World War 2 that they are not the 2nd most successful team in World Cup competition!
Uruguay is more successful than Holland and Portugal combined as far as onfield achievement is concerned. You can argue till your face turns people but you can't take away their Jules Rimet trophies

Sagamite: You are a person!
Didi? Mazzola? Jair Da Costa? Amarildo? Marcelo Pagani? All those players leaving South America to play in Europe in the 60s?
Cretin, Zico stayed in Brazil? He did not play in Udinese? FOOOOOOOOL!
Your moronic, dumb arsse did not check your facts before your vomitted your stupidity? Your person arsse is opening your arsse (which is basically your mouth) to talk about mental handicap?
What of Gerson,Tostao,Pele,Garrincha??
Europe back in the day was an after-thought which is why most of the guys on your list did not leave Brazil till their late 20's that's like Messi or Rivaldo joining Barcelona at 28 in these modern times!
Even those that left early always ended up back in South America
By the way who is Marcelo Pagani in the pantheon of players?? What a dumb phuck!!
Listen you tarado back then the South American League was as strong as the European Leagues. Which is why even in the era of Zico South American clubs took their European counterparts to the cleaners! Regularly!
Who doesn't know that Zico didn't spend his entire career in Brazil? Very soon you would say I said Pele spent his entire career in Brazil as well. Raasclaat!!

Sagamite: person, are Zico and Socrates poor players?
Hahahaha only that Zico won the South American championship and Club World Cup, Socrates also played for legendary Corinthians I wonder which of this applies to Okocha. The mind boggles

Sagamite: You are a person! So Micheal Owen is greater than Gascoigne?
Ohh shut da phuck up! U are fast becoming an irritant!
Who is Paul Gascoigne in the comity of midfielders? We are not arguing about who can down more 40 OZ's

Sagamite: You are a person!

You see how dumb you are?

Sagamite: person, explain to me why Zico did not play for a big club and does that make him any less great? Why did Barcelona, RM, AC, Inter etc did not see it fit to buy him?
What part of Flamengo was a big club does this maricon not understand?

Sagamite: You are a person, you still don't get the point.

If a player is playing for Man City or Arsenal today and another player is playing for Benfica or Porto, who is playing for a bigger club?
You are an ignorant buffoon but I would contribute my quota to society and educate you anyway.
First and foremost football did not start today you don't wave away decades of achievements because of a few good seasons!! I repeat pedigree, trophies are what makes a big club not who plays there at the moment you Tool!!
If Man City please let them sign Messi! They are still a small club

Sagamite: This is why you are a person!

So according to your dumb logic anyone playing for Nottingham forest is playing for a bigger club than someone playing for Arsenal?

Liverpool is a peer to Barcelona?

Can you see the outcome of the reasoning of a cretin?
18 League titles,Seven FA Cups, 5 Time European Champs,3 Uefa cups,3 supercups
Please tell us how they are not peers! In the assembly of schizophrenics you should be crowned King. Asiwere

Sagamite: You are a person.

Uruguay has won 2 WC, Holland has won none. So Uruguay is, according to your moronic logic, bigger footballing nation than Holland?
In case you missed the point "A big club wins and wins consistently"

Sagamite: You are a person!
That is why Brazilian players were travelling to Europe to play?
So football in the 80s in South America was at the same level as Europe? You are a cretin! You are stuggling to defend you moronic logic?
So Zico and Socrates are rubbish players?
Who where the Brazilian players travelling to Europe? Name them? When people that know the game are talking you should shut da phuck up!! Know your role and shut your damn mouth!!
Toulalan like you didn't know that those days the South American Leagues where ridiculously tough
This clown actually thinks Pele didn't play at a big club! Tostao,Gerson,Rivelino,Garrincha,Zico all stayed in Brazil! Not for lack of talent but because going to Europe was actually not a step forward!
And wait there's more from 1979-1989 in the Intercontinental Cup (competition I'm sure your mentally handicapped self has never heard of)
South American clubs actually outshone European ones
Head to head was 8-3

So yet again your general lack of knowledge on any subject matter has been exposed to all and sundry

Sagamite: Gascoigne is not an English great because he never played for a big club? Owen is greater because he played for Real Madrid, Man U and Liverpool?
Paul Gascoigne a great?? Hahahahahaha keep enlarging your coast of idiocy!! Gascoigne ko Gasket ni! Do you think we are arguing about who can consume the most pints of beer here?

We all fear Okocha on the pitch! But no top manager saw it fit to sign him! Get back to me when Okocha leads his team to back to back World Cup qualifications

Sagamite: What was Zico's case? Why did he not play for a big club? Cretin!
Hahahaha Flamengo that won the Copa Libertadores and World Club cup as well is not a big club but Fenerbache and PSG are?
Keep exposing your cluelessness we are all watching

Sagamite: You are a person!

They won CIV, hence, according to your moronic logic, they are a better team than CIV and Katongo that "won it for them" (the typical argument of cretins like you) is a better player than Drogba that could not "win it" for CIV?
What is this confused maricon talking about?? Did Katongo win the Premiership and UCL? Or where does the comparison come in? Drogba has won more medals for his team, more individual accolades, scored more goals! Where does the comparison come in?

nateevs: I agree but only partly. Jefferey Bruma has gone backwards and the number of appearances does not always tell the true story of the performance of a defender. Talking about performances, Tomas Kalas is way ahead of any Chelsea defender on loan. Based on performance. The dilemma now is that Kalas has spent most of the season at RB as opposed to last season at CB. So we are currently confused about what should happen as we've bought Wallace Dos Santos who joins in the summer. Considering that we have Azpili and Ivanovic as RBs and now Wallace, Kalas will have to settle for CB where we have JT, Cahill, Luiz, Bran. What happens? perhaps another guy who will probably never play for Chelsea.

I believe there is good reason to Cortouis, Lukaku, DeBryune, Chalobah, McEachran going on loan. These five above every other players on loan have actually gone straight into their respective first teams and are important members of their sides. However minute, there's a portion of their game that evidently would have improved by virtue of the game time they are getting. Something they won't get here. At this point, I can say that apart from Mata, these five are just about good enough to give good competition for the spots they play. There's no way we establish this without them given that game time.
If managers would not be given time to function then running an academy is just "Oju Aye" to be honest

J12: Stories, sentiments. . . If as a midfielder, he has less goals and assists than lampard, then how is he better?
Mikel has a very high pass completion rate, so lets compare him to Xavi then.
Any good midfielder(Scholes, Pirlo, Riquelme, Modric, Gerrard, Ballack, Sneijder etc) will do well in spain/barca's pattern of playing football. However, it takes an extraordinary midfielder to do more than that(Scoring and assisting).
Lampard to Xavi Hernandez huh Hahaha Ebelebe!! Evils! Ewo! Haram! grin grin

Sagamite: Oh, please shut up!

Scoring a goal in WC is now sign of greatness or being part of a team is sign of greatness. Being good at one nations cup is a sign of greatness. I need to include Katongo and Aghahowa in my list ASAP then, Chris.

What utter BS from people that know nothing about football. TEAMS win cups except you are doing what Maradona, Messi, Van Persie, Iniesta, Ronaldo are doing!

This is the kind of simpleton rubbish that would make someone say Amunike won ANC for Nigeria. What utter rubbish!

Maybe Mikel is also great because "he won" Champions league for Chelsea. He was the one that won it for them just for being a regular.

Fck Democracy!
U shut the phuck up!! I get pissed off at ignorant ninjas like u flaunting your handicap on a forum. Why not combine those achievements I listed instead and add em all up (not forgetting he was top scorer too) instead of isolating em! I blame your tunnel-vision or did Katongo and Aghahowa win UCL's? Did they score in 2 World Cups? Or where did u come up with such moronic comparisons?

Yet Abou Trika was voted their best player for 5 years in a row. Hahahaha una no go kill person for this forum oh

Sagamite: Okay, Chris Rock! grin grin grin grin grin
Like I said its your list! But based on their talents, laurels and roles for their respective teams in international competitions they should be on any list
McCarthy - UCL winner,(won the golden boot in the league), star of the 98 nations cup scored in two World Cups
Ahmed Hasan - Where do I start with this guy?
2 time nations cup MVP, 4 time African Champion
Abou Trika - One of the finest midfielders ever to come out of Africa! (Highly rated everywhere with trophies to back it up 2 Nations Cup titles with 4 CAF Champions League championships to boot!)

You are the Chris Rock here

semid4lyfe: No space for Frederick Kanoute, Mustapha Hadji, Joel Tiehi, Odartey Lamptey, Lucas Radebe, Edward Ansah? huh

And you have Joseph Antoine Belle and Thomas N'kono in the Top 10 whilst players like *Rabha Madjer*, Rashidi Yekini, Kanu Nwankwo, Tony Yeboah etc are ranked between 20 - 30? shocked

Ridiculous!

If I were an editor of a sports paper and I ask you to come up with a ranking of African Greatest Footballers and you give me this, I'll toss it into the bin straight.
Mustapha Hadji?? Odartey Lamptey huh I understand Radebe tho he should be in the list

ddippset: i must agree that argentina had a very good squad at SA 2010. though they had a bad manager, everything was going very well for them until they met germany. in that germany game they were not outclassed in any way, they conceeded a very early goal form a romero(goal keeper) mistake and they dominated until the last 15 mins or so when germany then killed them on the counter. then argentina had a pretty good squad but now? the squad is still very bad. yes you have got tevez, higuian, aguero, de maria, milito but only one of them should even play alongside messi. what about the defence? what about the attack? definitely full of mediocre players, definitely not a world cup standard.
True they had a bad manager I wouldn't argue that! But up till when they met Germany they where rolling (they even beat this same Germany in a friendly just before the World Cup in Germany) and the manager was not the issue then they had beaten Mexico 3-1 in the previous round and so everyone was expecting Argentina to somehow squeeze through
As for the game. Come on man they where thoroughly outclassed! Its not even funny how bad Germany made them look. Their attack is the best on the planet I maintain
The margin of quality between Germany's defence and Argentina is minute
Neuer was a rookie, Arne Friedrich? Boateng another rookie, Mertesacker is hardly world class so for me I don't buy the whole Argentina had a horrible defence argument! Brazil won the world cup with Roque Junior and an aging Cafu at the back
