nairalanda1: What is the tax rate, the cost of things like bread and price of university fees in UK?
Tax rate in UK is as high as 50% by the way Tax rate for a minimum wage guy is my post that you responded to. Anybody can buy bread in UK, bread is never a problem. UNI fees are funded with student loan which you pay back when you start work and EARNING a certain amount. 50% tax rate are for high earners like footballers and celebs and some city bankers, medics and chief execs. They are happy paying it. Compare a minimum wage workers in both clime and tell me how 9ja guys are breathing under Bala blu. |

If we took Aso rock budget for this year and added it to National assembly budget for this year and even added the 71 billion national assembly is spending on cars, it won't cover subsidy costs for 2 months.
That's the issue. This is complete lie. The actual litres we consume is not what they pay for. They inflate the litres. NNPC have not paid for subsidy for almost 2 years now yet we buy for 200 before Bala blu podium madness. |

Let say a single guy earning 2k a month pays 400 as tax he is still left with 1600 to play with which is more than a enough to carry you for a month. He can even start a building project back home. |

In UK, people don't use their cars anyhow...na to walk and use public transport (which also costs money, o!) Talk what you know. Petrol is 1.50 pounds but they have the purchasing power. Three hours work on minimum wage is one month minimum wage in Nigeria. So 3 hours work will pay for your petrol for one week. So when you do comparism be objective. |

It is expired, if i say i am not a citizen of Nigeria dont forget tge burden of proof still lies with u to prove i am a Nigerian.. So u jave to either presrnt a valid document or forget the fact i am Nigerian or do u expect ume to help u by renewing and giving it to u? Why are fixated on Obi, the passport issue was brought up by Atiku but you guys will always call Obi because all of you knew he won the election. |

Technically no court of law will accept "Expired passport" and also not a "certified true copy" as evidence. So Obident enthusiast should use their brain and not emotion. Besides, does it make sense to say Tinubu is not a Nigerian when his connection with Guinea is ordinary choice obtaining passport of another country. Let's be reasonable. You are the one emotional which is not wrong anyway. Did anybody say Tinubu is not a Nigerian? I was trying to coreect the guys tomfoolery that expired passport cannot bring you to Nigeria as a Nigerian. |

Politics › Re: 25% In FCT Is A Must by a4cube: 10:47pm On Jul 17, 2023 |
Throwback: You are an illiterate.
1 is different from 2 and 3.
Nigeria is known to be comprised of 36 states and FCT, so if a statistic is required from the sample population that is all of Nigeria, it would read that all the states and FCT because the FCT is part of Nigeria.
So 25% in 2/3 of Nigeria is 25% in all the states and FCT.
That is 36 states and FCT, totalling to 37 units from which 25% is required from 2/3.
If there was a comma before AND as written below,
25% in 2/3 of all states, and FCT
That would be the same as number 3 written by Tesppidd. How can and follow comma? Which kind of English is that? Ok what is 2/3 of 37? |

That also means a candidate can win 35 states n once he doesn’t win he won’t b sworn in
U must b a joke, if that is the case then voting should take place in only Abuja now
Then y include other states when results from there won’t b used That is not what the clause meant. You must get 25% in Abuja and 24 other states. Abuja is a MUST. If you get 25% in Abuja and fail to get 25% in 24 states, nobody will declare you winner unless the person is Yahoo man Yakubu. |

If Atiku with all his supporters in APC who worked against Tinubu could not win the real election, it is when Tinubu is now sitting as the President that he’ll win right? Why do you think Tinubu is trying to give ministerial appointments to party members from PDP, LP and even NNPP? Just underrate that guy at your peril. The way Tinubu will defeat Atiku in Adamawa sef go shock you. You people don’t know the power of an incubent President like Tinubu. You are the political baby here. Politics › Re: Here Is Why Peter Obi Is Next In Line If Tinubu Is Disqualified by a4cube: 1:20pm On Jul 17, 2023 |
PROPHETmichael: I'm for Peter Obi but stop confusing yourself because the constitution is very clear.
"A candidate for an election to the office of President shall be deemed to have been duly elected where, there being more than two candidates for the election, he has the highest number of votes cast at the election; and must have nothing less than one-quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two-thirds of all the States in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.”
Let me make this simple for you, It's like asking how many states are in Nigeria? The answer usually goes this way, there are 36 states in Nigeria and a federal capital territory.
A candidate is not required to obtain at least 25% of the votes in Abuja to be declared the winner. According to Section 134 (2) of the CFRN 1999, a candidate for the presidency must have the highest number of votes overall and must receive a minimum of 25% of the votes in at least two-thirds of all the states in Nigeria, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
This means that if a candidate achieves at least 25% of the votes in each of 25 states out of the total 37 states (including Abuja), they would fulfill the constitutional requirement, regardless of whether they obtain 25% of the votes specifically in Abuja.
Therefore, a candidate who secures the highest number of votes and at least 25% of the votes in 25 states does not need to meet the 25% threshold in the FCT Abuja in order to be declared the winner.
So therefore, No Abuja Votes Required. In the constitution is it written And or including? Again what is " So therefore"? You are never for Obi stop. Lieing Mohammed |
