Career › Re: My Firm Owing Me Are Threatening To Arrest My Guarantors by aalabi: 11:09am On Jun 21, 2018 |
Ogbeni, Get a good lawyer and sue them. But be open enough to the lawyer, give a detailed briefing and be sure you are not just acting being a victim here, if truly they owed you that much and the contract between you and the company is clear that you will get monthly salary and not commission payment based on percentage on sale or production, then they would be in serious trouble because that means they have violated the Labour law on salary payment. My honest submission. Ayo25: Please lawyers in the house I seek your advice and help over my tussle with my firm. They have concluded plans at my firm to arrest my guarantors. The same firm that is owing me backlog of salaries would go after my guarantors because at some point when delay in payment of salaries became unbearable for me, I decided to stop remitting whatever I made from my production for them until I am paid by them. By the companys standard it is wrong, but there was no way I could manage the situation and as a matter of fact you need money to make money for them which if your production was not up to scratch you will be queried. So because I could not secure another job I remained in the job. At the initial stage I would go out of way to make money for them and remit everything but at the end of the month, bang there would be a deafening silence. No salary. The situation became so bad that at some point I was owed five months. So I decided enough is enough. So I began to withold the money I made from my productions for them until they pay me too. I decided on this course of action especially because I heared that what they did to people in time past is that after owing staffs for months, they will now pay lets say four out of nine months and brazenly tell you to forget the remaining five or go to court. I do not want to feel used by anybody or firm so I decided that at every point in time I must be with some of their money. So I wont be on the receiving end if they put up any funny behaviour. So some weeks ago the firm eventually discovered what I have been up to. I was asked to submit all their equipments which I did. So they demanded that I pay up all what I am owing them. When I did my calculation, they are owing me a little bit more than I am owing them. I asked to be paid my entitlements too. They insist I should pay them first. Someone in their ranks exposed their insecerity that I have been sacked and will not be paid anything if I obliged them and Pay up their money. They started cajoling me to pay. I offered that they should deduct their their money from my salaries with them. They rejected flatly and said they will be going to arrest my guarantors. Lawyers in the house please advise me on how to go about this. I dont want them to go near my guarantors at all. |

rapcy: Two days ago, a young man who goes by the name Aminu G Idris claimed that a Chinese Supermarket in Abuja denied Nigerians entry. Today Mohammad Jamu took it upon himself to investigate the case. Here is what he has to say with photos:
"Today I became a journalist!! how I saw the news trending about a certain Chinese Shop at Gwarinpa that refuses Nigerians access posted by Aminu G Idris and copied by Aishat Aishat Alubankudi immediately an investigative spirit took over me, as I approach Gwarinpa I was filled with excitement of seeing a shop in Nigeria that denies Nigerians entry, at the gate I saw a writing that clearly took me aback and instantly quenched my anger, it was an advice to costumers from the shop owners after being attacked by armed robbers a couple of days ago and they were merely taking precautions so they advise only an individual at a time not group of persons out of fear and tremor of what they experienced in the past, poor them being foreigners in another mans land. They were friendly on entering the shop and to my surprise other Nigerians were trickling to see for themselves too. My advise to those celebrating the story please verify contents before posting to the social media your action alone can destroy someone's Business in Islam we call it (Shaidar Zuhr ) Bearing false witness and Allah has prescribed severe punishment for those who thrive in it" Becareful of buying corned beaf from those Asian people oo I learnt some of there canned corned beef are made up from their dead bodies back in their country (Not confirmed yet though). But please careful with whatever you are buying from them especially the canned groceries. |

aalabi: A woman from Cameroon was taken to hospital while in labour but died on the way
Her twin children were still alive however the doctors present allegedly refused to operate, citing expensive fees
The woman’s niece was forced to intervene and cut the children out with a knife
A very unfortunate woman died after she went into labour but her doctors refused to help her.
The Cameroonian woman, whose identity remains unknown, was nine months pregnant and went to hospital to give birth.
Sadly, she died in labour on her way to the hospital, but her babies could still be felt moving within her.
Horribly, the hospital’s doctors are shockingly said to have refused to assist the pregnant woman, saying she did not have enough money.
The hospital’s doctors said they could not help as no fees had been paid
Despite the fact that the woman’s twins could be felt stirring in her belly, the doctors and nurses allegedly refused to assist, even though it was becoming more obvious they needed to be saved from certain death.
Faced with no other choice, the pregnant woman’s niece was forced to intervene, using her own knife on her deceased relative.
The devastating scene after the woman’s babies were cut out of her outside in the sun
In front of the doctors and nurses who refused to help, the niece sliced open her aunt and saved the lives of the twins.
The hospital’s staff were so determined not to help that they would not even let the woman be taken inside the hospital building, forcing the niece to operate outside in the baking hot sun.

Truth234: The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is currently proposing to replace Bureau De Change (BDC) operators with Travelex, a global foreign exchange dealer.
According to the report, in an effort to ease the pressure created by CBN decision to discontinue sales of Forex to BDCs, CBN is grooming Travelex as an alternative forex dealer to BDCs across the country.
“CBN’s desperation to meet dollar demands from banks. Government agencies and importers prompted the decision to give dollar import license to Travelex”, said Aminu Gwadabe, a chief executive Officer at SABIL Bureau De Change Limited.
He further stated that “Travelex has secured approval to open more offices across the country where dollar will be directly sold to banks, government and other end-users in a move to bridge the current supply gap of Forex in the economy.”
Gwadabe believed that even though Travelex is licensed as a wholesale supplier and forex importer into Nigeria, BDCs retail segment remains its intention. He insisted that the current move by the CBN will finally allow Travelex to take over the retail segment of the BDCs.
A CBN official, Ibrahim Mu’azu said “CBN’s decision to stop funding BDCs will create room for Travelex to do more Forex retail business going forward, they have been in the market for a long time”
The general manager of Travelex Nigeria, Anthony Enwereji admitted that the fact that the company sells dollar at a very low rate is its advantage over the BDCs.
