PoliticsLike Buhari Like Abacha by abacrested(op): 11:48pm On Mar 09, 2016
I was a very die hard fan of Abacha during his regime simply because of his war against indiscipline and corruption which endeared him to many that we were even campaigning for him during his quest to metamorphose from a military to a civilian president.
Today Abacha ' s loot is still been recovered
Buhari also promised us to stamp out corruption, but with the way things are I strongly believe we have been blinded by the fight against corruption there by allowing Buhari to follow Abacha suit. All this his travels to core Islamic countries where their ill goten wealth will be shielded is suspecting. Mind you he was an integral part of Abacha regime and still maintains that Abacha is a saint.
One thing I know is that nothing is hidden under the sun, one day we will see the real buhari.

Before Gej we used to spend 24 hrs on that road going to lagos from East . though I miss the bush meat we always eat for lunch and dinner while waiting to get to lagos,it was terrible.
It takes at least one week to receive our goods from lagos due to bad nature of the road and the delay affects business negatively.
God will bless Gej and his generation for at least giving us an enabling environment to do business.
Hardworking nigerians will always be proud of Gej while the lazy ones will still be shouting OUR YAM.
We underestimated your government GEJ

silly IPOB youth.

All they do is praise criminals so long they perceive them to be fighting the present administration. These same youths will be seen on another thread complaining of why the seaports in the SS region are not patronized.

How can they be patronized when you lots keep encouraging the breeding of terrorist, militants, crooks and pirates that turn around to make life difficult for the region thereby chasing away investors and shippers from docking at the region's seaports?

Your hate-filled hearts is what sets you all in confusion.

PoliticsRe: The Alarming Rate Nigerians Are Migrating To Other Countries by abacrested(f): 9:52pm On Feb 17, 2016
Why won't they migrate when a dollar is 360naira, with 10000$ you can start building a house in Aba . if you can make $10000 every year for 5 yrs that's close 20 million naira come back here and become a big boy.

If the past GEJ administration that the SE gave 100% support and vote could only complete 40% of the road project in 6yrs, what percent completion do you think the road will get in this new PMB administration that got 5% votes from SE?
You don't sow corn and expect to harvest yam. BUT that is not to say I support neglect of any region. Fashola should behave himself and work equally (as much as possible) in all the regions.
your right but remember that Gej completed more projects in the north than SS,why can't PMB emulate him at least for a start maybe this cry of marginalisation will reduce a bit. This is because I know what people pass through on that road during rainy season

Abagworo:
Thats a lie. I rather saw some works done on it between May 2015 and January 2016. I travelled from Port Harcourt to Enugu and again Port Harcourt to Umuahia just 2 weeks ago where snail pace of work was ongoing. Work on the road was never fast.

Politics can make people lie even when glaringly full of mischief. Enugu/Port Harcourt expressway was abandoned by Jonathan throughout his 6 years in power with oil at a point selling over $140 pb but you can only talk nonsense after Buhari's 9 months with oil below $40 pb.
as expected that's the best you can present, starting the blame game, meanwhile Gej awarded the first phase of that project which is more than 80% completed and awarded the second phase at the twilight of his administration and I expected the final phase to be included in this year's budget simple

Ajibel:
Please did you read Fashola's medium term framework/ plans on how he'll cater for all abandoned road projects around the country or did you just out of boredom decide to criticise the Minister?
criticism is one of the salient feature of democracy so you have to live with it meanwhile Fashola initiated two major projects that was included in this budget but decided to abandon an ongoing project after mobilising the contractors. This is the problem we've been having in this country for decades now,South East has the worst federal road in the country, wait till the rainy season comes and all this roads will become impassable and the pressure on Fashola will increase, common sence should tell him to complete this road than starting so many new projects in the SW and NE
PoliticsEnugu - Ph Express Road Abandoned by abacrested(op): 8:51pm On Feb 17, 2016
The federal government has abandoned the Enugu - PH express road started by the administration of Gej. This is despite the fact that it is one of the busiest highway in the country and the fact that it is the main road that connects SS AND SE . The past administration completed more than 40 %of the project which is the only major project the south east is getting for 6 yrs .
We expected this administration to at least finish this project to show common sence and prove they are better than the previous one . seeing the budget for the ministry of works it realy shows that indeed there is a gang up against the people of this zone.
Why is there so much hatred for the SE by the yorubas and the north?it is getting too glaring even in this forum, all you See here is total rejection of anything (whether good or bad )that comes from SE. I don't want to include the SS because they are always SS when it comes to oil and are ibos whenever it's time for politics especially during appointment.
Finally, even Amechi who made us believe buhari loves the SS more than the north east could not persuade Apc to finish a road that leads to his state, he's rather working hard to cancel a university in delta state . why can't he emulate Fashola that gave the SW more than half of his ministries budget. It goes a long to tell you how foolish Amechi is that he does not understand the politics of nigeria.

The people of Rivers ought to be ashamed! What is going on, is Rivers State advancing in civilization or retrograding into barbarism? This is new!!
that's the uniqueness of Rivers state politics, they want their leaders to be close to them not media leaders Amechi who becomes the best governor only in the media but nothing to show on ground. Amechi is just a politician that can never do any other thing apart from politics,he is never well educated making a 3rd class in English language and a known cultists, he has nothing to offer the people,he spent a whooping 3 trillion naira on rivers state still ph looks like an abandoned city, cities like Enugu and Uyo looks far much civilised. I still pity those that listened to Amechi during the last presidential campaigns where he denied the south the only opportunity to repackage the country through the implementation of the confab reports, whether you like or not Buhari is not a saint, he is equally corrupt, then the likes of Amechi is corruption itself. It can only happen in Nigeria when you are not in the good books of the government, EFCC will arrest you, detain you, Come to the media to tell everybody how much they decides you stole and we will believe them without hearing the other side of the story.
The worst part of it is that those who are supposed to be profs and SANS ends up hailing an illiterate for making a mockery of them and their education.
You leave people like Theophilous Danjuma, IBB, OBJ and co that worth trillions only to start arresting metu to collect the little he worked hard to earn in the last 16 years just because he's from that tribe they don't like . why can't this people grant Dasuki and co bail so we can know how they will come to explain how they got 2.1b to share among themselves .
Honestly am bored with this news of people and trillions everyday without trials and it's high time we start doing things right and using our heads not being remoted by a layman.

Amechi working very hard against the Niger delta.
He had succeeded in removing Gej,what will he gain discrediting this project that develops this community, state and the Niger delta at large?
Someone should tell me if it is a crime to have a marritime university in every state in the Niger delta ,it will even go a long way in encouraging the youth into maritime.
This is getting too bad,Amechi is creating so many enemies at home, this is not way and it shows that all Amechi knows is politics of fighting your enemies in the name of fighting corruption, a lot of work needs to be done in the transport sector, we have been waiting for his blueprint on how to tackle problems in the sector, all we see is noises and blames and militarisation of Rivers state with AMECHI ' S federal might, is it the way, you can't fight your people broda, Gej had all the power to remove you but understood this world more than the likes of Amechi..
I think Amechi is fast loosing popularity

With people like Abaribe who is the grand patron of kidnappers in aba and cosmos who worked with OUK as ASEPA chief and with OCHENDO As chief of staff by IKPEAZU'S side, this is scam

NaijainTexas:
Chei, I wonder just how much you know...

What you have said is actually true, and being who I am, it hurts to admit it. When Uncle TA removed support from him, it caused the rift which has led to all of this. Ikpeazu is actually a good innocent man caught in between a war of two men.

When I read online and visit the State, I get even sadder seeing my people suffering and what someone I know too well...helped TA do in Abia.

Thing is, TA is repentant, which is why his guilt led him to support Okezie and helped install honest and hard working administration. He knows what Alex is capable of doing. Despite TA's silent apology to Abia, the citizens had already had enough and refuse to forgive him.

I was born in Aba, and my heart is in Abia, but Alex will do the State worse than the last administration; it really pains me to sit here and type these truths but I feel I have to say something. A lot of his supporters are blinded by hate of TAO so much that they have actually failed to open their eyes and find out about what he is and what he plans to do. Ikpeazu is really who you all should be behind. All of you demanding he pack up and vacate should actually be praying to the Lord God above that he and his wife remain in Abia's Govt. House for two terms or even more. This thread is just one example of how this man is doing everything in his power, even reducing his salary in half, to improve the State.

We even discovered some of his Exec. Co have not been paid since election --some of them volunteered in order to help make ends meet in the State. I think at this point, I started being honest with myself. I reconciled it with things I saw, and even heard from Otti while he was here in Houston at the host house, comments in Igbo saying, "It's time someone else eats from the Abia State pot'. I was disgusted at that 'joke'.

Would have preferred him to tell us he wanted to fix our failed State. :-(

Sadder thing is THE MAJORITY of you saying "Otti we know" and claiming his mandate was stolen...didn't actually go out and vote. Trust me on this...I know.

I live in the US, so I am removed from the suffering that will happen if in fact Otti is victorious at the Supreme Court--you all don't even know the half of it...

If this man is so serious about improving Abia, you ever wonder why he hasn't done so independently? Must he be governor? Ask yourself, "What is he trying to access?"

I sincerely weep for my people.
it is true you don't stay in aba,we need to tell you what is obtainable here.

PoliticsRe: President Buhari's Media Chat (Video) by abacrested(f): 6:52am On Dec 31, 2015
To be honest, the dullest presidents in media interviews have been Jonathan and Obj. Even Abaca was better than both. Jonathan treated the interviews as beer parlour discussion and Obasanjo was bullying. Buhari is very dangerously clear about his direction to those who have ears and common sense.
Stop inordinate consumption of foreign goods, learn a trade or skill, farm, develop yourself. No cheap designer goods except you pay high for them.[/quote]are you ok?
I don't think you watched the chat, Buhari is the worst we ever had,he did not understand what it takes to run an economy.
Simply uneducated, even with his experience all he remembers is his regime and that of Abacha which he is a key player, has he been sleeping all this while? We can do far much better than this, all you See a man who is sad and still willing to kill when you consider his answers to most questions asked on the recent killings. He is just as good as Mr ibu
