ndu_chucks: Don't be surprised that I agree with your post in as much as we are talking about the settled Fulani. The Fulani were probably all nomads in times past, but some clans later settled in towns and villages (settled Fulani), while others continued nomadism (nomadic Fulani). The two groups are otherwise similar in all respects. However, while the settled Fulani see cattle-rearing as a hobby and businesses, the "nomadic Fulani" considers it a way of life.

The distiction is very important. You people calling for the destruction of the way of life of people who have been living in Nigeria since at least the 1500s are quite insensitive. We can find solutions to the problem but we must be sensitive to the way of live of the millions of herdsmen in question. I'm afraid until a reasonable and comprehensive solution is found, you people better learn how to fend off daggers and vicious sticks.
Yea i agree, at least we know how to fend off daggers and sticks in the east, so you can tell the middle belters that.

ndu_chucks: Can you people stick with issues rather than personalities and anonymous screen names? I'd appreciate it immensely if you'd stop trying to pidgeon hole me into belonging to one tribe or the other. What objections do you have to what I've posted and why do you not see the benefit of the said designated "Herding Zone", "Fulani Reserves", "Nomadic Xing", or whatever you prefer to call the, soon to be created, federally reserved territory?
the can create nomadic zones in the north, i don't have problems with that. we don't have land for roving nomads in the east.

ndu_chucks: Uncivilized people, who have been brainwashed to believing that they are superior to fellow Nigerians, simply because the said fellow citizens are nomads, are exposing themselves again. You people on the one hand cry all over NL that you are being marginalized and cheated e.t.c, and on the other hand you want to deny your fellow citizens equal rights under the law. SMH @ ignoramuses
Mr man shut up, do you people mean the farmers who's crops are destroyed don't have the right to exit.you people should discard your primitive way of life and embrace modern methods of animal husbandry.

lacasa: On the contrary,.

if Nigeria should divide the SS/SE wld suffer most.

Why? U might ask, well, i'll educate Ɣou -

if Nigeria shld split, Igbos who r d majority of southern immigrants in the north wld lose ova 50billion they αve as investments in the north. Anϑ, their forceful evacuation from the north after Nigeria splits wld render a lot of easterners paupers in their new Biafra or whatever. But, in comparison ϯo the northerners' investment in the south, the northerners would fare much better.

2ndly, the SS wld be the most unstable region in west africa if Nigeria divides 2moro. why?, i'll tell u-

The ancient enemity btw SS tribes such as the Urhobo/Tsekiri in an oil rich state would blow up ϯo the highest point imaginable. The oil wld be determined by bunkering, i.e the new war lords †ђat wld emerge. The sustenance of a stable SS region which d likes of Asari anϑ Clark usually shout about wld only be a mirage, becos, the control anϑ ownership of oil wells wld breed an un-ending chaos in †ђat place.

3rd, the North wld have the agricultural wealth ϯo go on (if properly harnessed) such as, Hyde anϑ skin, exploration of desert oil, etc & this wld make the North a viable option fσr foreign investment. in terms of population & land mass, the north with its attributes will play a dominant role in the affairs of international politics anϑ global prominence in the world, if Nigeria were ϯo split.

All the Northerners nid ϯo do is ϯo get their act together anϑ re-orient their people anϑ i assure u, Arewa republic wld αve lesser problems ϯo deal with plus much greater avenues ϯo wealth on a larger scale than any other region, if Nigeria were ϯo break up.

Personally, i wld prefer Nigeria remained as one cos Bad leadership is the basic problem of dis country anϑ Nigeria wld be a far greater country ϯo deal with than if it were ϯo divide.

Anyway, dis is my take.
Shut up mr man, and save us your idiotic post.it's because of intellectual dwarfs like you that people call you Aboki with low IQ. the SE/SS will flourish once removed from the shackles of the parasitic and retrogressive core-north.

Point no 1; Have you asked yourself what will become of the economy of the core-north if the igbos leave. BTW if you think igbos will become paupers if forcibly withdrawn from the north then you are indeed a fool, no wonder you are an aboki. Back in 1970 the east was devastated and the fed govt. deliberately castrated the igbos economically by giving them 20 pound each irrespective of how much they have in their bank accounts before the war, a policy to keep the igbos in perpetual penury. today 42 years later you are still casting envious eyes on the same people who are now ahead of you relatively in terms of financial comfort, and in every other area of human endevour. the truth is that the economy of the core-north rests squarely on the shoulders of the igbo man and will collapse as soon as he leaves.

Point no 2; The igbos will gladly give up their investment in the North in exchange to having their own country. have you ever seen an igbo man who is afraid of leaving his investment in the core-north if given the chance to be alone in their own country. the truth is that SE is being held back from fulfilling its potentials by their association with the core-north.

Point no 3; the SS is unstably because the north made it so through their long stay in power, they collaborated with the oil companies to prop up stooges in the area as political leaders while genuine ones are suppressed (Adaka boro and ken saro wiwa are cases in point)to enable them perpetuate instability in the area because it serves heir purpose. These instability will disappear once the people of the region are allowed to determine there future, there was no history of instability in the region before amalgamation. the northern elite wants the the status quo to remain in the area so that they can maintain their stolen oil blocks.

Point no 4;What has stop the north from harnessing potentials of the so called large population, land mass, natural and agricultural resources, why are they afraid of staying on their own and developing them, why do they prefer to stay with us thereby preventing them from developing their own resources. why is there such wide spread poverty and unde-rdevelopment in the core-north despite their claims. the answer is simple, incompetence and laziness, these has remained their age old enemies.

point no 4; the SE may not have large land mass, but God has compensated them with energy and brain, thats all a nation needs to prospare, meanwhile we have coal, limestone, iron ore, crude oil, palm oil, good climate and arable land to go with it, tell me, does japan have any of these?, yet they are among the worlds largest economy, with very high standard of living. Holland has far higher population density than the SE, yet they are among the first five highest exporters of agricultural products in the world, for your information we have more land than Holland. And BTW we can always import what we don't have. with the commissioning of the the Onitsha river port we now have access to the sea, has it ever occurred to you that your north is completely landlocked?, from were will you export whatever you manage to produce?.

My dear ignoramus, let me not continue highlighting to you how bleak you northerners have allowed your future to become, but I want to take this opportunity to beg you people to leave us alone and face your problems, while we try to solve the ones our association with you has inflicted on us. why do you keep believing that without the igbos you can not survive alone for five minutes. We have made it clear we don't want you people. we have fought and died to prove that. We will keep praying that one day God in his infinite Marcy will rid us of you.

As expected the demented hybrid goats are here spewing hogwash and balderdash. lemme deflate your tiny ego here. the oil and gas industry is owned by south west and there is nothing anyhody can do about it. for every five major players in oil and gas industry three must be from south west. Goto .Shell, Chevron, Total and Exxon Mobil and cross check the data base of both direct employees and contractors , we don't need to make loud empty noise like you fools.

On Lagos, Ojukwu was not able to do anything about it 40 years and so shall it be. Until your parasitic kinsmen stop transporting the carcass of ibos to south east, then we shall ask question .You cowards can't even open your shops and remained indoors during occupy Nigeria and you are here spweing nonsense. All we need to do is to close down Alaba international, Ladipo, Mile 12, Idumota. We all know why an average iboman hates Tinubu because he once closed down Ladipo and Ojukwu had to come down and begged. The funny thing is, there are more than a thousand awo and tinubus watching the limits of you squirrels while egocentric toads like you wallow in both arrogance and ignorance via the cyber world or do you think its all about writing nonsense on nairaland? fool.

secondly, just last year some ibo noise makers boosted about how they constitute more than 40% of kano population and how heavily armed and well prepared they are to defend their investment in sabon gari, but today we know better!. We saw in a sinlge swoop how 42 ibos were blown to dust on Christmas day without a single reprisals, we read how 10 ibo traders were reduced to sleeping carpet without any single revenge and the endless news of ibos replacing goat meat as chioce in making SUYA . Yet, dehydrated goats like you write nonsense. The funny thing is, you parasitic scums keep movng to violent prone core norhern states in droves to search for food, disregarding the threats while halfwits like you make retarrded comments. What ever makes you sleep well at night dim'!

Most people are actually like you. If things improve, fine. If not, who cares. It is a very sad state of affairs because it prevents highly talented people from serving Naija to the best of their abilities. "What difference will my efforts make anyway?" kind of thing.
So when will the talented people be given the chance to contribute? Is it when they are fraudlently denied serving the people through election rigging, or when that bright boy from a poor home is substituted from the university admmision list with an over pampered olodo from wealthy family because money has changed hands, or when every thing from police and army recriutment to employment, selection in national sports teams, contracts etc are done on tribal bases rather than merit. Your post is really funny, but I will forgive your ignorance because obviously you are not a proffesional in the building industry. That JB built IBB's mansion does not make it a master pice that cannot be supassed by newer and more contempory designs. Architecture is very dynamic and therefore evolves continuosly. IBB's mansion is already a subject of case studies, meaning that Architects has taken all the merits in the IBB's Arch. design to enable them produce more beatiful and far more functional designs. NB. am not saying that the building in the picture is better than IBB's cos I don't have the needed imformation to judge both, but I want to correct the inferiority complex that makes you believe that eveything made by JB (ie the white man) has a devine stamp.

Abagworo: Contrary to what most of you are saying, I seem to understand and support him on this. Every part of Nigeria deserves to be funded well to avoid future catastrophe. There is so much money flowing in Port-Harcourt while most other parts of Nigeria are in abject poverty. The gap is too wide in terms of economic empowerment.
Mr man stop that stupid logic, does the money also flow in Enugu, Onitsha, Awka and other cities in the south east, or does it flow in Oshogbo, Lagos, Ibadan and Akure. so why are those areas mentioned above not in the same socio-economic mess as Yobe state. Despite being in power for the greater part of our national political life since indepence, they failed to develope the North and prepare it for the present day realities, when they will no longer have unristrained access to the oil wealth of the niger delta. The total dependance on oil revenue by the Northern state governments has evolved a culture of laziness and a nonfunctional socity in tarms of productivity. How can these Governors keep depending 100% on oil revenue without seeking means of developing and genarating revenue from the numerous solid minerals God has blessed the region with.
